After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System
Chapter 326: The Snake Princess Has Been Waiting for This! [GOLDEN TICKET BONUS]
She swung her enormous serpent body and launched several of the Blood Warriors still attacking her aside, clearing a path through the crimson battlefield before suddenly accelerating toward Selene.
Her thousand-foot-long body moved through the blood pool with such force that the liquid in front of her began surging outward, creating the appearance of a moving crimson tide following the advance of a gigantic serpent.
Selene noticed Brynessa rapidly closing the distance.
She also realized that maintaining her current position while under the effects of Sevenfold Omen would not be enough, so she decided to use some of her larger abilities, even though the spectral serpent behind her continued growing at an alarming rate.
Earlier, it had behaved like a harmless creature drifting behind her throne, but now it had even hissed at her, which made Selene feel as though the ungrateful snake had consumed her power to grow stronger and had now decided to show its fangs toward the very person feeding it.
She had no time to deal with it.
"CRIMSON CHAINS"
The instant Selene activated the ability, her Crimson Throne glowed once again, and the blood pool surrounding the battlefield began violently churning.
A vibration spread through the ground that resembled the onset of an earthquake, and immediately afterward, one hundred crimson chains erupted from beneath the blood-covered earth around Brynessa’s serpent body.
FWOOSH!
FWOOSH!
FWOOSH!
The chains shot upward one after another before wrapping around Brynessa’s body, and their sharpened ends embedded themselves directly into her flesh, anchoring her enormous serpent form in place.
SHHNNG!
SHHNNG!
SHHNNG!
"AGHHHH!"
Brynessa screamed in pain as the chains pierced her body and pulled against her movements, but Selene didn’t slow down, because although the six purple omens continued glowing and attempting to interfere with her abilities, her Blood Sovereign body was not merely a decorative transformation, and it continued resisting the curse with everything it possessed.
The purple sigils flickered violently as Selene’s innate ability fought against their influence.
Then Selene raised her hand again.
"CRIMSON ARSENAL"
The instant she activated the technique, the blood filling the domain began rising from the pool, lifting into the air as wave after wave of crimson liquid gathered above the battlefield.
The blood gradually hardened.
One weapon became another, and soon thousands of different blood-forged weapons had formed throughout the sky, each one compressed so densely that they no longer resembled flowing blood at all.
Swords, spears, blades, axes, and countless other weapons floated above Brynessa, suspended in the crimson sky as though an entire arsenal were waiting for Selene’s command before descending upon the serpent below.
From outside the battlefield, the spectators had practically gone numb from the continuous succession of abilities.
Luke was no exception.
He stared downward at the domain, the Blood Legion, the Crimson Chains, and now the thousands of weapons suspended in the sky before finally wondering aloud,
"Was this really a B-rank fight?"
Brynessa had yet to reveal power on the same scale as Selene’s current display, but the sheer size of her serpent body had already made the battle look extraordinary, while Selene continued summoning attacks on a scale that could flatten a city if unleashed without restraint.
Luke had earlier exhausted almost all of his energy merely to manifest Heaven’s Palm, yet his wife was now producing thousands of weapons and commanding an entire legion within a domain.
For a moment, he couldn’t help thinking that his wife was even more frightening than he was.
What he failed to take into account, however, was the enormous difference between their cultivation levels.
Luke was still only D-rank.
Selene was B-rank.
That difference alone changed everything.
For Luke to produce an attack capable of reaching that level while still standing two full realms below the opponent he had challenged was a much greater feat than Selene producing attacks on this scale from her own B-rank cultivation.
Even with all her superior abilities and tools, Selene still couldn’t produce a true A-rank attack, and she hadn’t even reached half the level of an A-rank attack.
Luke, however, didn’t notice that distinction at the moment, because his attention remained completely fixed upon the battlefield below.
The confrontation between the two women had now reached its heated stage, with Brynessa struggling against the restrictions of Selene’s domain while thousands of blood-forged weapons waited above her like a crimson storm held back by nothing more than the will of their queen.
---
’Damn, she is harder to deal with than I thought.’
Brynessa cursed inwardly as she struggled against Selene’s relentless pressure, because her curse power still hadn’t accumulated enough for her strongest attack, and that particular technique required the accumulated power of a Peak B-rank level curse. She had been deliberately preparing for this moment, believing that once the curse reached that level, she would be able to unleash an attack capable of defeating Selene, and perhaps even killing her.
But Selene was making that plan far more difficult than she had anticipated.
Meanwhile, Selene continued her assault without giving Brynessa enough time to breathe, and after gathering the thousands of blood-forged weapons above the battlefield, she slowly lowered her hand.
The instant her hand moved downward, the weapons hanging within the crimson sky responded to her command, and spears, swords, blades, axes, and thousands other forms of blood-forged weaponry accelerated toward Brynessa with tremendous momentum, descending from every direction like a violent crimson rain.
"NO!"
Seeing the incoming attack, Brynessa immediately activated another one of her curse abilities, although by this point she wasn’t even sure whether she should continue calling these powers curses or Fate abilities herself.
"C̷u̷r̷s̷e̷d̷ ̷R̷e̷f̷l̷e̷c̷t̷i̷o̷n̷"
When a cursed enemy uses a powerful ability against Brynessa, she can reflect a portion of the attack’s hostile energy back into the curse, and rather than returning that energy as ordinary damage, the reflected energy increases the accumulated power of the curse itself.
That was exactly what Brynessa was counting on.
She knew that her curse power couldn’t accumulate quickly enough through time alone, so she had deliberately allowed herself to take greater injuries in exchange for increasing the curse’s accumulated power, accepting the damage because she believed the final result would be worth the price.
The next instant, purple light began spreading across her gigantic serpent body, and almost simultaneously, the blood-forged weapons finally reached her.
BOOM!
BANG!
BAM!
THUD!
CRASH!
SLASH!
Every weapon created its own impact as it struck Brynessa, and the sounds merged into a continuous barrage that resembled cannons exploding against her body, with blades cutting through scales, spears punching into flesh, and the force of the impacts sending blood surging outward through the surrounding pool.
"HIIIISSSH!"
Brynessa’s pained hiss echoed throughout the battlefield, causing both Mella and Marrec’s expressions to tighten with worry.
"Miss Brynessa..."
Neither of them moved, however, because they trusted her judgment and knew that she had deliberately chosen to fight this way, while even if they wanted to help her, they couldn’t do anything because they weren’t allowed to interfere inside the arena.
As the barrage finally subsided, Brynessa’s gigantic body went limp, with numerous cuts running across her scales and blood continuously pouring from the wounds before mixing into the already-red environment around her.
Yet despite the condition of her body, her half-lidded eyes remained fixed on Selene, and a faint smile slowly appeared upon her face.
