There were also several cuts across Selene’s Blood Sovereign body.

The wounds were already beginning to recover, but compared with her normal regeneration, the restoration was noticeably slower.

Brynessa, however, wasn’t smiling because of those injuries.

Her gaze had shifted toward the spectral serpent behind Selene.

It had now grown to one thousand feet long.

The same creature that had once appeared almost harmless was now comparable in size to Brynessa’s own serpent body, and instead of merely floating behind the throne with its mouth closed, it had begun baring its fangs toward Selene.

Yet it still hadn’t attacked.

It was waiting.

Waiting for the final piece.

Selene and the surrounding spectators had also noticed that the spectral serpent still hadn’t made any direct attack, but Selene no longer cared about it, because she had already decided that this battle needed to end, and the simplest way to accomplish that was to kill the curse user herself.

"It’s over, Brynessa," Selene muttered as she slowly raised the hand of her Blood Sovereign form.

’B-RANK INNATE ABILITY!’

’Blood Sovereign, ULTIMATE SKILL!’

Selene gradually closed the gigantic blood hand until only one finger remained extended, with that single finger pointing directly toward Brynessa’s battered and weakened body.

"SOVEREIGN EXECUTION"

The moment those words escaped her mouth, the Blood Sovereign guided its extended finger through the air in one smooth horizontal motion, drawing an invisible boundary across everything within its path.

The instant the movement was completed, a colossal blood-red line appeared in the air exactly along the path traced by the finger, stretching across the battlefield with absolute precision.

It wasn’t an ordinary blade or projectile that traveled toward its target, because the Blood Sovereign’s blood authority had manifested directly along the line itself, turning the very space it occupied into a boundary capable of separating whatever crossed it.

And unfortunately for Brynessa, her thousand-foot-long serpent body was directly within that line.

Under the horrified gazes of everyone watching, the blood-red boundary passed cleanly through her enormous body, dividing it horizontally as though the resistance of her scales, flesh, and bones meant nothing before the authority contained within the attack.

Yet immediately after the line crossed everything in its path, nothing appeared to happen.

The ground remained still.

The space remained silent.

Even Brynessa’s enormous serpent body seemed untouched for that brief fraction of a second.

Then a quiet, cutting sound finally echoed across the battlefield.

SSSHHKK...

That single sound carried farther than the previous explosions had, and when the delayed effect finally manifested, the ground beneath the attack separated along the same line while Brynessa’s gigantic serpent body also began slowly sliding apart, the two portions losing their connection as one side started falling away from the other.

Everyone watching was horrified.

Yet Brynessa’s dying serpent face still carried a faint smile.

Because at the exact moment Selene had used Sovereign Execution, the spectral serpent behind her had begun growing at an alarming rate, gaining another foot of length with every passing fraction of a second.

But instead of continuing to grow outward where everyone could see it, the spectral serpent suddenly moved toward the purple magic circle beneath Selene’s Crimson Throne.

It descended directly into the formation.

And under Brynessa’s dying but satisfied expression, the spectral serpent completely disappeared inside the purple magic circle.

BAAMM!

Brynessa’s half-cut gigantic serpent body finally crashed into the ground, producing another explosive impact that shattered a large section of the earth beneath her.

Mella and Marrec were left stunned.

The other spectators were equally silent.

The entire arena seemed to have fallen into an unnatural stillness.

Only Peiro, floating above the battlefield, let out a slow sigh.

"It’s too late."

His quiet words had barely left his mouth when the next stage of Brynessa’s plan finally began.

The seven symbols of Sevenfold Omen, which had been floating around Selene all this time, suddenly burst with intense purple light and shot toward her Blood Sovereign body.

TThis time, they didn’t merely surround her. Instead, they merged directly into her.

’What?!’

Selene’s mind screamed, but she immediately discovered that she couldn’t speak.

No, it was worse than that.

She couldn’t feel anything.

Her all senses had disappeared completely, and even the connection between herself and the Crimson Throne, which had felt as natural as an extension of her own body until this moment, had suddenly been severed.

Outside, the World of Crimson began gradually losing its stability as Selene’s control disappeared, and the crimson domain slowly started being cancelled.

The Crimson Throne, however, remained summoned.

It still stood within the battlefield despite Selene no longer controlling it, while Selene’s Blood Sovereign form remained seated upon the throne in complete silence, with the seven purple symbols now embedded deep within its body.

Normally, the Blood Sovereign form should have been forced to revert and disappear once Selene lost control.

But that would only have been true if her innate ability had not inherited properties from a Demi-God, or if the technique itself had not originally been created through Demi-God-level power.

Because of that inherited property, the Blood Sovereign form remained.

And then, before anyone could understand what was happening, a gigantic, thick purple thread suddenly emerged and wrapped tightly around the Blood Sovereign’s body, binding it so firmly that any movement would be almost impossible.

Everyone stared at the scene in confusion.

"What the heck is going on?"

How could Brynessa still be doing something when her body had already been cut apart and she had seemingly died?

That was the question appearing in everyone’s minds.

Brynessa’s magic had continued. Her curses had not died with her.

Yet almost everyone had forgotten one crucial detail.

From the beginning of this battle, Peiro had never declared the winner.

He always announced the result whenever one side surrendered, or when one side—

Died.

And so everyone continued watching the battlefield without realizing that the fight had already entered a completely different stage.

---

Suddenly, the purple magic circle beneath Selene’s Crimson Throne began rippling violently with purple light, and the entire formation trembled before releasing a sound like the world itself was being shattered apart.

BOOOOOOM!

A gigantic serpent emerged from the magic circle.

It was ten thousand feet long.

Its enormous jaws closed around the Crimson Throne itself, biting down on the structure as it attempted to crush it, while Selene’s Blood Sovereign form remained seated upon the throne, completely motionless and helpless because she could no longer control her body.

"NOOO!"

Luke’s voice finally exploded through the arena as he saw what was happening.

He immediately attempted to summon Valzareth so that he could use Void Step and reach Selene.

But—

Nothing happened.

Luke’s eyes widened when he realized that he couldn’t make the Void Step work, and his gaze immediately shot upward.

Peiro was looking directly at him.

Earlier, Peiro had allowed Luke to interfere when Kira’s life was in danger, but this time he wasn’t going to allow it again.

He didn’t need to say anything.

The meaning behind his expression was already clear.

Luke understood immediately that no matter what he attempted, Peiro would not permit him to interfere in the battle this time.

But that realization did nothing to calm him.

He was worried.

More than worried.

The sight of the ten-thousand-foot serpent holding Selene’s Crimson Throne between its jaws made Luke feel as though his mind was about to collapse, especially when he saw the first cracks beginning to spread across the throne’s crimson structure.

It was being crushed.

And if the throne shattered, Selene would be exposed completely.

At the same time, inside Luke’s heart, all five golden chains reacted.

They had already been clinging tightly around his heart, but now every one of them suddenly contracted with even greater force, squeezing his heart as though their message had become a command carved directly into his soul.

"Save her, or you will die!"

The contraction continued growing with every passing second, while the mysterious symbols engraved along the chains continued trying to suppress and weaken that pressure.

Yet their efforts were proving insufficient.

The chains kept tightening.

Luke’s heart kept compressing.

And the closer the Crimson Throne came to shattering, the stronger the warning inside his chest became.

At that moment, the System screen appeared directly before him.

[Luke, calm down!]

The System’s voice carried unusual urgency as it attempted to pull him back from the edge.

[Have faith in Selene! She wouldn’t die from this!]

But Luke couldn’t calm himself.

His eyes remained fixed upon the gigantic serpent, and more importantly, upon the Crimson Throne trapped between its jaws, where cracks had already begun spreading across the crimson structure.

It wouldn’t hold for much longer.

And the moment it shattered, Selene would be left completely exposed.
