After Beating the Game, I Became the Villain BOSS

Chapter 672 - 416: Tripartite Battlefield (Part 2)

The heavy artillery units dominated by the Titan Mechas were unleashing their firepower, while the elite prosthetic warriors were locked in battle with the ceaselessly advancing constructs.

And in the very center of the battle zone, there were two people standing face-to-face, while soldiers from both sides tactfully avoided them, leaving ample space for a duel.

Dongdong had her hands in her pockets, blowing bubblegum nonchalantly, with the Dragon Steel Baseball Bat from Su Mo slung on her back.

In truth, this weapon was already outdated for Dongdong. With her entire body enhanced to "Apocalypse Level 1" capabilities, the hardness of the Dragon Steel material struggled to withstand her full grip and offered little defense against powerful attacks.

Clearly, the Dragon Steel Baseball Bat was dented and damaged, evidence of past battles, yet it still shone as bright as ever, indicating that its owner had maintained it well over the years.

In this battle, Dongdong had brought along this long-unused weapon, not for any particular reason, but because it was the first gift from Su Mo, carrying his great hopes and expectations.

Adam stood not far from Dongdong, this slender young man seemingly unaware of Dongdong’s presence, engrossed in reading a book.

From his serious expression, it was clear he wasn’t just pretending but truly absorbed in the book, with one hand holding a page corner to prevent the chaotic air currents from disrupting it.

Dongdong popped her bubblegum, vanishing from her spot, only to reappear next to Adam as if teleporting.

She tiptoed, peeking at the book Adam held, and asked, "Hey, skinny, what’re you reading so seriously?"

Adam replied, "Martial arts manual."

"What the heck???" Hearing this, Dongdong was puzzled, scanning up and down the pages, then mocked, "Seriously, who believes in that stuff? Aren’t martial arts manuals all just scams?"

Adam glanced at her sideways, "Aren’t you into martial arts?"

Dongdong: "Yeah."

Adam: "Then you don’t read books?"

Dongdong: "Nope, reading gives me headaches. I just learn whatever my master teaches me."

Adam let out a short, disdainful laugh, "Shangguan Li, right? Haha, that guy’s quite a joke, with such low talent himself, still having the nerve to mentor an unlimited endurance prosthetic user. Not worried about misleading his disciple?"

Without any warning, the air in front of Adam suddenly turned thick and gelatinous, a sign of something moving at ultra-high speed compressing it to a liquid state.

"Boom!!!" At the moment the liquid air exploded, Adam’s chest suffered a devastating blow, sending him flying back as an indistinguishable blur.

As Adam’s body swept through, it seemed as if a monstrous claw had slashed across the space above, shattering all giant soldiers or constructs it touched, their bodies splitting into countless pieces, forming a carpet of blood and active metal on the ground.

Finally, Adam crashed heavily into the main entrance of the Iron Blood Alliance, causing the glass from the first to the twentieth floors to shatter with the impact, its luminous fragments raining down.

The soldiers fighting nearby instinctively looked over, seeing Dongdong standing still in her original position, with her right leg raised mid-air in a side-kick pose, her form beautifully poised like a butterfly spreading its wings.

She smoothly retracted her leg, guiding her body back into a standing position, her skill so flawlessly executed that even if the process were slowed down infinitely, no flaw could be found.

Dongdong looked at Adam, buried in the rubble of the building, and with a cocky tilt of her head, said, "Skinny, there’s something I forgot to tell you."

"You can insult me, but you don’t insult my master."

...

Outside the Black Domain Group Headquarters, the battle was far more intense than at the other two headquarters.

The elite forces of the Hegemony Company and the Iron Blood Alliance were all humans, but the Black Domain Group was different.

Though the Spiritual Brain also functioned as a supernatural force on the human body, Spiritual Brain Modifiers would not directly appear on the battlefield.

The abilities of these individuals lay in remotely controlling mechanical ferocious beasts, without any other special traits, constrained by the nature that they must always keep their true identity hidden.

Once a Spiritual Brain Modifier exposes their true location during a battle, they’re pretty much as good as dead.

Therefore, on the battlefield outside the Black Domain Group Headquarters, there weren’t any extraordinary warriors to be seen, replaced by a large number of mechanical ferocious beasts.

These laboratory-modified creatures, specifically designed for combat, were far more destructive than wild beasts.

Moreover, since the loss of a mechanical ferocious beast wouldn’t deliver a fatal feedback to a Spiritual Brain Modifier, only causing some discomfort, they engaged without reservation.

When a mechanical ferocious beast died, the Spiritual Brain Modifier could quickly deploy another from storage.

Thus, this battlefield witnessed the most furious engagements, with mechanical ferocious beasts as reckless fodder, Worker Bee constructs equally reckless fodder, both sides clashing with the frenzy of tidal waves colliding, countless corpses being birthed at every moment.

At this moment, at the center of the battlefield, stood a giant beast over ten meters tall, resembling an arthropod, its body covered with a thick shell, wreaking havoc among the constructs.

Its scythe-like forelimbs cut through the active metal bodies of the constructs as if they were tofu, its casual sweeps causing dozens to hundreds of casualties.

Growing upon its body were a large number of organic cannons capable of spewing highly acidic substances during attacks, enough to corrode the robust armor of even allied Titans, creating massive holes the moment it made contact.

During the beast’s rampage, the constructs failed to inflict any damage, even suicidally scaling the beast for self-detonation bore no more effect than dusting that indestructible biological shell.

In a shadowy corner of the battlefield, a squad responsible for raiding the Black Domain Group Headquarters lay in hiding.

This squad, numbering the most members, comprised Hibell, Nuobai, Shangguan Li, and Chu Nanyi.

Among them, Hibell and Nuobai both had reached the Sixth Stage, one at "Divine Protection High Tier", the other "Divine Protection Middle Tier."

Shangguan Li’s aptitude lagged behind, struggling to reach the Fifth Stage even after injecting immunity boosters for advanced modules, having "Soldier Level 1" prosthetics.

Chu Nanyi was the weakest, with only an "Fearless Level 1" prosthetic rating.

Compared to the Seventh Stage powerhouses at the other battlefields, this squad’s lineup looked rather meager, but it was the best the Rebel Army could muster.

After all, true geniuses were rare, and even with top-notch hardware, not everyone could possess exceptional talent; potentials have limits, and once they’re reached, that’s as far as one can go.

For this reason, the four were tasked to assist in the raid against the Black Domain Group.

Due to the uniqueness of their abilities, Spiritual Brain Modifiers were the only type of extraordinary beings who could potentially be defeated despite significant class disparities.

Hibell, stealthily observing the mechanical ferocious beast rampaging on the battlefield, whispered, "That’s a ’Blade Remains Tyrant’, a ’Warlord Level Frantic Stage’ mechanical ferocious beast, essentially a living biological weapon that can tear Titans apart like it’s nothing."

Shangguan Li mumbled, "I’ve heard it said before that among the three extraordinary power systems, mechanical ferocious beasts are relatively the weakest of the same tier."

Hibell nodded, "Indeed, considering mechanical ferocious beasts as expendables, it’d be terrifying if they had no weaknesses when compared to the other two powers of the same tier. Typically, mechanical ferocious beasts are assessed to be about two minor levels lower when compared to the other two abilities."

"For instance, this ’Warlord Level Frantic Stage’ Blade Remains Tyrant, its power roughly compares to a ’Low Tier Black King’ Blood Code Carrier or a fully enhanced ’Apocalypse Level 3’ Prosthetic Implanter."

Nuobai typed on their phone:

[Shall we go?]

[Working together, we should be able to take it down.]

Hibell quickly shook her head, "Killing it is meaningless; the Black Domain Group Headquarters must have a reserve of mechanical ferocious beasts, as soon as one is taken down, another will replace it — with just the few of us, we can’t defeat them all."

"Leave the frontal battlefield to the constructs; Mo Tong will use these Worker Bees to distract the enemies, letting these expendables wear each other out."

"We need to find the Spiritual Brain Modifier named Tsukimori Iori and directly kill their true body for victory."

"Let’s proceed as planned!"
