Chapter 1983: Is He A Sovereign?

Chapter 1983: Is He A Sovereign?

The Human World, Azure Continent.

Another battle was taking place at the edge of the Magical Beast’s Forest. In a different position from where the entrance to True Dawn was located.

It has been around a week since the attack on True Dawn and the seal being broken. Just as expected, the Gnomes started a major attack on the Human World as they planned to assert control over the region surrounding the portal.

After the deaths of the Half God Plane experts, the Half God Plane experts from the Human and Gnome World came to an agreement. For now, both sides Half God Plane experts would not get involved in the battles, leaving everything to those in the Sovereign Plane and below.

In all honesty, this was the best outcome the Humans could hope for. At the moment, they had a lot of budding talents, as long as they could engage in constant battles, they would be able to break through and even create more Half God Plane experts in this way. Unfortunately, this would come at the cost of losing a lot of people. There was nothing that could be done, if an all out battle between the Half God Plane experts took place, the chances of the Human World suffering massively was almost a hundred percent.

The previous battles where the Gnomes lost multiple Half God Plane experts might have looked casual, but the very fabrics of the Human World suffered slightly from it. This is something only the Half God Plane experts could sense. Both the Human and Gnome’s Half God experts sensed this, the reason they agreed to this method.

The moment it was agreed, the Gnomes immediately deployed a large number of Peak Sovereigns as well as those below the Sovereign Plane. There would be countless battlefields, and those in the Sage Plane and above would all be part of these battlefields.

In the past few days, the territory seized by the Gnomes is only growing rapidly. From a few tens of kilometers to over a hundred kilometers. At the moment, they were currently at the edge of the Magical Beast’s Forest, threatening to occupy more territories. The death count on both sides was in millions already.

Due to the Gnome’s hateful abilities, most Humans on their deaths would also self-destruct to make sure their corpses do not fall into the arms of the Gnomes and later used against their fellow Humans. Everyone has seen how hateful the Gnomes were. There was a small Family who lost their Leader at the start of the war, it took just two days before their supposed dead Leader appeared on the battlefield again, this time, he was on the side of the Gnomes. He slaughtered a few of his children with his own hands, and in the most brutal way.

Unlike the Aurora Continent who still had some information regarding the Gnomes, the Azure Continent was plunged into chaos with the appearance of the Gnomes, and most of them did not have any prior encounters with them since they all traveled in the direction of Red City after the attacks on the Towns and Villages close by. Experiencing the Gnomes’ hateful means firsthand shook some of these people, especially their top experts.

Even with the increase in essence around the Azure Continent, the strongest experts were only Early stages Venerables. The time they had was simply too small for them to have any massive improvements. Most of the people with such cultivations were already at the limit of what the essence of the Azure Continent could produce then. Of course, there were a few from the younger generation who received exponential growth and managed to blitz through the Sage Plane in a matter of a year or two.

….

Red City. A large training ground was created about a kilometer away from the City.

Lucas was fully occupied with the distribution of people to the battlefield.

Klaus, Reynolds, and Alice were currently standing in front of a group of about two hundred people. The strongest person in this group was only a Third stage Venerable, while the weakest was in the Mid stages of the Sage Plane.

Some of these people were old acquaintances. They were generally people who went to Lunar Academy together with them. The difference in strength and status in just these few years was massive. Either one of the trio could wipe out this entire group with a single attack. There were even some who used to be their Instructors. Take for instance, the Instructor of the Earth Elementalists in the school who was a largely built Man with rough beards was one of the Third stage Venerables in the group.

“You three will lead them to the battlefield. Remember, you must do your best to keep them alive.” Lucas instructed the trio who nodded in acknowledgement.

Just as the group was about to leave, a figure walked into the training ground.

Klaus saw the figure and his eyes could not help but light up. This was an old acquaintance of his, compared to most of the people from the Academy, this Young Man is someone he largely regarded as his friend. He did not meet him in the Academy, rather, he met him in Lunar City.

Walking over, Klaus realized this friend of his had barely changed from the way he was all those years ago. He still looked as unremarkable as he was all those years ago.

The Young Man recognized Klaus from a single glance, walking over with a smile he greeted his friend whom he had not seen for years now. The duo spoke for a while before he told Klaus his intention of coming here.

“I want to join your group.” He said with a smile on his face.

“Huh? If I remember correctly you don’t like cultiva…” Klaus paused mid-sentence as he gawked at the Young Man. He rubbed his eyes repeatedly to ensure he was not seeing things.

Calling Reynolds over, he pointed at the Young Man and asked, “Is he a Sovereign?”
