Chapter 751: Boon And Divine Astra - 2
"Hmm, my attacks are strong enough." Leo nodded as he shook his hands, cleaning off the blood and bones he had clawed out of Vulcarion’s chest.
"This guy has some weird ability. Maybe a body reinforcement talent or some high-level treasure consumption?" Leo tried to make sense of it, but Azrakar was once again in front of him, blinded by rage and already moving to throw an uppercut.
Leo immediately bent to the side.
THUSSSS!!
The missed punch created a shockwave through the thin air above. That was the sheer pressure and force Azrakar was exerting.
Soon, he followed with a roundhouse kick, which Leo countered with a hand block.
THAM!
The ground cracked in a V-formation along the path of the pressure at the side.
Azrakar immediately flipped and kicked with the other leg in the same direction and hand—floating mid-air horizontally as the kick’s pressure widened the crack at the side.
At that moment, Leo got hold of his leg.
Before the danger bells could even ring, Azrakar found himself smashed against the ground.
BAAAM!!
A small crater was formed.
"Ack!"
He spat out saliva from the impact, but Leo pulled him back and, with an arc, smashed him into the ground on the other side.
After multiple smashes, Leo had to let go because Vorthak had closed in to distract him.
"You are annoying," Leo said before delivering a devastating punch straight into the dragon’s face.
Vorthak’s nose, teeth, upper jaw—everything caught in the punch’s path caved in as he was flung away, half dead.
Leo looked at his fist.
"As I guessed, my punches are not weak. You are special," he said to Azrakar, who was already poised to launch another attack.
In the distance, the dragons who had been forced to come to the ground due to Sylrael’s arrows were engaged in close combat with the Aurelius group.
And except for a few, everybody was on the losing end.
Even Thalvyr, fighting a Low 4-star dragon named Fyrekar, was only managing to hold his ground barely when Uraan helped him by distracting the dragon with wind-based attacks and his falcon.
Kaelion was the only one who seemed to be winning against another Low 4-star dragon, with his Singham and Grivak by his side.
Vorthuun was still doing his job of holding back the 3 strongest dragons after the trio Leo was fighting, while Nyxa and Shyra had teamed up to deal with two Low 4-star dragons.
Pryde was obviously holding 2 dragons by himself, though it was clear that he was struggling because all 3 of his heads were out.
Interestingly, Sylrael and Niri were actually fighting two Pseudo 4-star Hybrid dragons and, by being together, were even on the winning side.
Pure wood element winning agaisnt pure fire, really surprising.
Even if the dragons burned their vines, which were attempting to bind and drag them down, Sylrael would still force them to stay on the ground because the moment they created even a bit of distance, her [Thousandwood Arrow] skill took effect and barraged them.
On the ground, Niri infused Sylrael’s new skill essence into her roots and vines. When she used it, a large number of vines erupted from the ground in an instant, successfully grabbing the hybrids.
But they were burned again, and the cycle repeated.
Agnivar and Lunaria were dealing with the last Pseudo 4-star dragon, while the rest were in the 3-star realm, fighting with the other students and beasts.
All the dragons in the 3-star realm were humanoid and couldn’t fly.
’I need healing!’ Aaron said through the communication channel and stepped back, letting Ronan know that he needed to be more careful in his absence.
He quickly chugged a stamina and healing potion, then rejoined the fight after a moment, alongside Ronan and their 3 beasts.
5 people to deal with 1 Humanoid Peak 3-star dragon.
Next was Drycha, Lily’s Pseudo 4-star treant, who was fighting with a Peak 3-star dragon alongside Uraan’s Midnight Raven and Rhaegar—the eagleman.
They were losing, as Drycha was already struggling with her weaker element.
Cecil, Lyra, and their beast were fighting another High 3-star humanoid dragon.
Dhalia and her beast—Boreal Shellbeast—were alone against a Mid 3-star humanoid dragon, and somehow, even Tavian managed to hold off on his own against another Mid 3-star dragon with his arrays, body enhancements, and lost-era martial arts—Lithwei.
There were 3 more Low 3-star dragons, and for them, there were Miho, Yano, Marco, and their beasts.
Aeila, who had joined the fight hoping to be of some use, was quickly told to hide away when the dragons directly targeted the mana absorption array on the golem’s back, rendering it useless.
But thankfully, Lily immediately started supplying it with mana to activate it again and let her join the fight.
But even then, they were still losing.
Because Humanoid Dragons were no less strong.
With their draconic trait boosts, even a Low 3-star was an early Pseudo 4-star being.
And a Peak 3-star dragon?
They were a middle Low 4-star being.
No wonder people were struggling—especially when their strength was boosted further by the [Beastcall Horn], because... technically, all dragons were beasts at the end of the day.
And the boost was substantial because—
Ding!
>[Beastcall Horn] has temporarily increased the physical stats of physical beasts by 10%.
Meaning—Shyra, Nyxa, Agnivar, Zelut, Ashira and other students’ beasts—all had their stats boosted by 10%, and so did the dragons when they blew the horn at the start.
Not Niri, because she was a half-spirit.
In fact, if not for the [Voidshade Veil], the dragons might have already defeated many Aurelius students.
Then there was Aeila’s mind link, which was a tremendous help that prevented eliminations. It let them communicate flawlessly and kept the dragons from knowing their next moves because they couldn’t hear them speak.
Even Sylrael was a great help with her [Unity Resonance] talent.
At that moment, the sky darkened.
Fruder had deployed another artefact in their arsenal.
Azrakar immediately sensed the danger. His pupils contracted as he turned to look toward the skirmish occurring between the other students.
"This is bad!"
As things stood, the fight was in the dragons’ favour, even with their senses not functioning properly.
Meaning, they just needed to wait for the artefact’s effect to wear off in 10 minutes to pave the path to a surefire win.
But if this was the artefact Azrakar was hoping it wasn’t, then this was terrible news.
And his prayers failed when he saw golden lightning gurgling through the stormy clouds.
"FUCK! Not the Heaven’s Wrath!" he cursed.
