Chapter 449: Chapter 449: Seraphina Elopes with Someone (5)

Marshal hadn’t finished speaking when he felt two icy gazes land on him. The weather was clearly sweltering, so ’why do I feel so cold?!’

The dapper Terrence Grant had been casually leaning against a Bentley, exuding endless charm while holding a bouquet of vibrant roses. His presence was overwhelming! A luxury car, a handsome man, fresh flowers—people of all genders couldn’t help but stop and stare. The men looked at the car; the women looked at the man!

Originally, the aura he exuded was one of wild, untamed arrogance, which had charmed countless women. Everyone was wondering which girl could be so lucky to have such a handsome and outstanding boyfriend!

But suddenly, that arrogant aura vanished, replaced by an icy, sharp killing intent! Everyone felt a shiver run through them as waves of cold seemed to seep into their bodies, impossible to suppress!

Seraphina Sterling looked at the flashy man and subconsciously decided to take a detour. ’I want to enjoy a peaceful university life,’ she thought. ’This kind of high-profile drama isn’t for me!’

Terrence Grant already found Marshal displeasing to the eye, especially since he was standing so close to Seraphina Sterling that he looked like he wanted to glue himself to her! Then, seeing Seraphina outright ignore him with no intention of coming over to greet him, the pent-up fire of frustration in Terrence Grant’s heart flared up.

Terrence Grant didn’t wait any longer. He strode over on his long legs, reaching her in just a few steps. His somber voice suppressed a deep rage. "Seraphina Sterling, you run the moment you see me. Are you feeling guilty?"

"Guilty? What do I have to feel guilty about?" Seraphina Sterling frowned. ’What kind of fit is he throwing now?’

"Leaving with another man right in front of your boyfriend. Are you trying to elope?" Terrence Grant suppressed the rage in his heart. "Marshal, Seraphina Sterling is my Mrs. Grant. You’d best stay far away from her. Your father worked hard to get promoted to Aethelgard, to the political center. You should watch yourself. Don’t ruin your father’s future because of your actions!"

’Back in Sanford, I didn’t think much of this guy, but now, he’s completely intolerable! Especially how close he is to Mrs. Grant right now!’

"Mr. Grant?" Marshal’s cheerful expression vanished. He knew better than anyone the extent of Terrence Grant’s power. He’d experienced that intense aura once before, back in Sanford. He never imagined that a year later, it would still be just as powerful! ’If anything,’ he thought, ’it’s only grown stronger!’

"Elope?" Seraphina Sterling felt a wave of speechlessness. Looking at the dusky sunset, she was too exasperated to even say a word!

"Mr. Grant, there might be a misunderstanding here. At most, I was just acting as her escort! Since you’re her Mr. Grant, you should be the one protecting her, right? Even though this is a school, there are always some tactless people who enjoy bullying the weak!"

Marshal quickly made his decision. ’My feelings for Seraphina Sterling are just a vague crush, nothing more. It’s not like I can’t live without her. Withdrawing now is a little regrettable, but it’s hardly heartbreaking!’

"This is my business, and it has nothing to do with you! But the fact that you would say something like that proves you don’t understand Seraphina at all! Unless she allows herself to be bullied, there isn’t a single person in this school—and I mean anyone—who could mess with her. She’s the one who does the bullying, not the other way around. For someone to lay a finger on her? Absolutely impossible!"

Terrence Grant was extremely confident about this. "There are some things I can handle for her, and when I make a move, it’s always clean, efficient, and leaves no loose ends. But I know Seraphina wouldn’t like that. Compared to me stepping in, she prefers to personally teach these clueless people a lesson! If I did everything for her, wouldn’t she get bored?"
