Chapter 450: Chapter 450: Seraphina Elopes with Someone (6)

The Marshal froze for a second, then suddenly burst out laughing. "You two are truly a teacher-student pair! You’re clearly not that far apart in age, yet in his presence, I feel a pressure as immense as a mountain! Terrence Grant... he’s truly something else!"

The Marshal didn’t press the issue of Seraphina Sterling any further. He left immediately, giving the two of them some space.

Seraphina Sterling was taken aback. ’How does Terrence Grant know me so well? I’m pretty sure I never told him these things, so how could he possibly know? I’d much rather solve things with my own strength than rely on anyone else!’ She tilted her head, watching him with a puzzled gaze, trying to find any subtle clue on his face.

"Mrs. Grant, aren’t there a few things you should be explaining to me?" Now that the Marshal was gone, Terrence Grant finally had time to interrogate a certain unruly woman!

Seeing the crowd around them grow, Seraphina Sterling’s expression turned cold. "You need to leave here immediately. If you don’t, you’ll ruin my entire college life!"

This was exactly the kind of scene Terrence Grant loved. It was the best way to let every single male student in the university know that Seraphina Sterling was spoken for and that they shouldn’t get any ideas! But it seemed he had gone a little too far and truly provoked Mrs. Grant. Terrence Grant quickly grabbed Seraphina Sterling’s hand, pulled her into the car, and the two of them sped away from the crowd.

"I told *you* to leave, not to drag me away with you!" Seraphina Sterling glared at him furiously, her beautiful eyes wide with anger.

"Mrs. Grant, did you miss me?" Terrence Grant abruptly changed the subject, instantly extinguishing Seraphina Sterling’s fiery anger.

"I haven’t had the time," Seraphina Sterling said, leaning back against the seat as her body finally relaxed.

Terrence Grant frowned, clearly dissatisfied with her answer. "Was it that you didn’t have time, or that you simply didn’t think of me?"

"I didn’t have time, and I didn’t think of you," Seraphina Sterling said, gazing out the car window as the sky gradually darkened. A thin veil seemed to fall over her normally brilliant eyes, and her soft voice was tinged with exhaustion.

Suddenly, Terrence Grant leaned across, placed a kiss on her lips, and then pulled away just as quickly. "I missed you."

The touch was faint and soft, there for just an instant. He had pulled away before she could even react. His words, "I missed you," were like a soft feather brushing across her heart—ticklish, yet so moving. She wanted to say something, but with a million things to say, she found she had no idea where to start when she opened her mouth. In the end, she just pressed her lips together, and all those unspoken words came out as a single, soft, "Mm."

But a certain man was not satisfied. "What kind of reaction is that? According to standard procedure, aren’t you supposed to say you missed me, too? I’ve already taken the initiative here!" Terrence Grant felt indignant. He was particularly unhappy that he hadn’t achieved the desired effect, especially after he had spent so much time painstakingly studying up on it!

"Procedure?" That was the word that caught Seraphina Sterling’s attention.

An unnatural blush crept across Terrence Grant’s face. "The romance procedure, of course! Normally, shouldn’t it be a case of ’absence makes the heart grow fonder’? Why am I the only one who missed you, while you don’t feel a single thing? That’s just too unfair, isn’t it?"

Seraphina Sterling felt an almost overwhelming urge to scream. ’Where on earth did he read about some bullshit "romance procedure"?!’ "Did you even learn Chinese properly? The saying is ’a brief parting is sweeter than a honeymoon.’ The key word there is *honeymoon*! We don’t even have a marriage, old or otherwise, so where are you getting ’honeymoon’ from? Has your invincible, high IQ finally decided to short-circuit?"

’So that’s the reason?’ Terrence Grant began to self-reflect. ’It seems I chose the wrong tactic! But if that’s the case, I’d better get us a marriage certificate as soon as possible. Otherwise, I’ll never have the chance to experience what ’a brief parting is sweeter than a honeymoon’ really feels like!’
