Chapter 416: Chapter 416: This Girl Is Actually Bisexual (4)

Martin Quinn sat with his legs crossed, a glass of red wine held between his fingers. The dim, yellow light cast shadows on his handsome, sharply defined features, making him seem all the more mysterious and unfathomable. It made one wonder what kind of man was hidden behind those deep eyes. Watching the girl across from him, whose expression was a veritable painter’s palette, Martin Quinn’s thin lips parted slightly. "What are you thinking about?"

Nadia Chapman froze. She’d just realized she’d been staring, completely captivated. She couldn’t help but shake her head and lament, "A handsome face is a dangerous thing!"

PFFT— Leo Warren’s self-control was too weak; he burst out laughing. He couldn’t help it. Nadia Chapman’s dramatic lament was just too hilarious, and he simply couldn’t hold it in. ’Isn’t that something a guy would say?’ he thought. ’And yet here she is, a girl, sighing with such profound feeling, as if she’s really lived it!’

Then again, his young master was so exceptional and handsome that he fully deserved such a compliment!

Compared to Leo Warren, Martin Quinn remained perfectly composed. However, a closer look would reveal a few drops of wine staining his trousers; he’d managed to mask his shock quite well. "And nothing else?"

Leo Warren started, stealing a glance at his young master. ’Wasn’t that declaration shocking enough?’ he thought. ’What more do you want to hear?’

Nadia Chapman leaned right over the table. "Handsome men are the ruin of us all!" ’If Seraphina and Genevieve found out about this,’ she thought, ’those two frenemies would tease me about it for the rest of my life! I’ve never been so embarrassed!’

AHEM— Leo Warren felt he couldn’t take it anymore. ’Handsome men are the ruin of us all? The nerve of her! No, wait—how does she have the face to say that after staring at him like that?’ There were few women who got so lost gawking at a man as Nadia Chapman did. "Young Master, I’ll wait in the car."

"Mr. Quinn, can you please keep this a secret for me? I mean, I’m the general manager of two companies. I’m a person of some standing, you know? If word of this gets out, I’ll lose any shred of authority I have with my employees!"

Nadia Chapman’s small face scrunched up like a dumpling. ’Of all the people I could have run into, why did it have to be this troublesome guy? Heaven must be blind! I’m already in such a sorry state, and still, I get no mercy! In a situation like this, any woman would hope for a knight in shining armor to rescue her. But Martin Quinn is no knight in shining armor. He’s more like Buddha—so powerful that no one can stand against him. If I let my guard down for even a second, I’ll expose a weakness! I really don’t want to deal with someone so perceptive. It’s just exhausting!’

"Of course," Martin Quinn’s smile grew even more brilliant.

Nadia Chapman’s eyes lit up. A moment ago she’d been completely deflated, but now, her spirits soared. ’This is the first time Martin Quinn has been so easy to talk to! What a good guy! You really can’t judge a book by its cover. I’ve heard so many rumors, but you have to spend time with someone to know who they really are! What other people feel is their own business!’ A wave of relief washed over Nadia Chapman.

It was the first time Martin Quinn had ever seen someone’s expression change so drastically. He couldn’t resist teasing her further. "If you can finish all these desserts, that is."

Ugh— ’Finish these desserts?’ Nadia Chapman stared at the table laden with high-calorie food, her eyes practically bulging out of their sockets. ’What?!’ Looking at Martin Quinn’s infuriatingly charming smile, she was suddenly overcome with the urge to throttle him. ’I take it all back! He’s exactly what the rumors say: unpredictable, cold, ruthless, and plays by his own rules! A lunatic among normal people, and a psychopath among lunatics! He’s absolutely the last person in Aethelgard you should ever cross!’

Nadia Chapman forced a weak smile. "Mr. Quinn, you ordered all of this, so I assume these are your favorites. How could I possibly deprive you of them? You eat. I’ll be perfectly happy just watching!"
