Chapter 415: Chapter 415: This Girl Is Actually Bisexual (Part 3)
Turn right? Here? Leo Warren was bewildered. They had fought their way through a sea of cars to get here. Victory was in sight; after this intersection, the road ahead was wide open and clear. Why would the Young Master want to turn now? But despite his confusion, he wouldn’t dare disobey Martin Quinn’s command. A driver’s job was to follow orders, no matter what.
Life is full of countless crossroads. The people you meet and the sights you see will inevitably be different depending on whether you turn left or right. Often, a single hesitation, a single choice, can create endless opportunities. No one knows who you might meet at the next intersection. This is fate.
’I swear, someday I’m going to open my own taxi company and make all these drivers work for me! And the first company rule will be: No refusing fares under any circumstances! Anyone who does gets their bonus docked!’ Nadia Chapman glared at the endless stream of taxis with their ’For Hire’ lights on, cursing them to not get a single passenger all day. ’See how they like refusing fares then! Damned fare refusals!’
"I must say, that’s quite a grand vision, President Chapman. But you already have two companies on your hands. If you add a taxi company to the mix, can you really manage it all? Besides, it’s a time-consuming, labor-intensive industry with low-profit margins. I imagine it’s not something President Chapman would normally be interested in, is it?"
Martin Quinn rolled down the window, a devilishly charming smile spreading across his face as he listened to her muttering. No woman could escape a face so handsome it defied the heavens. It couldn’t be helped; the man was simply gorgeous beyond measure. Nadia Chapman was dumbstruck. Her brain short-circuited. Her eyes saw nothing but the beautiful man in front of her, and she was so stunned she couldn’t even speak.
Martin Quinn was used to such looks of utter fascination. Ever since he was a child, women would stare at him, mesmerized, whenever he smiled. It had even earned him the title of "little heartbreaker" from his mischievous mother. He used to hate it when people looked at him like that, which was why he rarely smiled. But today, seeing the girl on the curb who looked like she was about to drool, he felt a strange sense of profound joy.
A desire to tease her welled up in Martin Quinn. He deliberately lowered his voice, its rich, cello-like timbre dripping with temptation. "Are you satisfied with what you see?"
Nadia Chapman nodded instinctively, her bright eyes never leaving his infuriatingly handsome face. "Satisfied. Very satisfied."
Martin Quinn generously graced her with another smile, one so brilliant it could blind a person. His deep voice held a faint trace of seduction. "Get in."
Without a second thought, Nadia Chapman got right into the car, completely forgetting about her suitcase.
Fortunately, Leo Warren was sharp enough to get out and put her suitcase in the trunk. ’What is the Young Master up to? Seducing this young lady? That can’t be right. Usually, women throw themselves at him; he never needs to do the seducing! This Miss Chapman must really be something special. Could it be? Is the Young Master having a second spring? Is he interested in women again? Should I report this to the Madam?’ Leo Warren’s mind raced with a thousand thoughts. He wondered if he should spread the good news, since it had been many years since the Young Master had a woman by his side.
Martin Quinn took her directly to the Stelluna Hotel. The desserts there were considered the absolute best in Aethelgard, and it was one of the few hotels he was fond of. He had his own exclusive private room there, but today, he chose to sit in the main hall instead.
By the time Nadia Chapman snapped back to reality, the table was already laden with all sorts of desserts: hibiscus cakes, coconut pastries, Black Forest cake, chocolate cake... A contorted expression washed over her face. ’Did I really do something so embarrassing? The man is just a little handsome, that’s all. Was it really worth losing my mind over it? And now I’ve let him drag me to a hotel! This is beyond humiliating!’
