Volume 16 Chapter 34: I’ll Wipe You off The Map!

The group headed off again the next day to sell shaved ice: as the group made their way to the center, a large crowd formed at their spot. Yesterday’s display spread throughout Vaelthryn. Keith glanced at the little ones: Eri’s ear wiggled fast while Laura and Leon’s eyes glimmered.

All three were excited. His eyes met Carolyn who also watched them; they both gave a chuckle.

They’re more than prepared. Keith thought about giving them a pep talk, but it was unneeded. Keith pulled the cart over, and the little ones shouted, “Welcome!” That was the start of their day; as they served the customers shaved ice, they spotted familiar faces in line.

“Douglas, you came as well.”

“Mmhmm! When Orin told us about the cart your little ones made, we had to come try.” He could not come because of work, but he was on break now, and he came with his family.

“Thank you.” While he talked with Douglas, the three continued to work. They did make some mistakes in the orders from time to time, but it didn’t cause trouble. Actually, it made them cuter. The adults couldn’t help but grin goofily as they watched them get it right.

“Take your time, child.” An elder muttered as he watched Laura get the toppings correct.

“Mmhmm.” Laura calmly placed the toppings. “Correct?”

“Mmhmm!”

“Yay!”

“Adorable,” Keith almost cried.

Carolyn rolled her eyes, “The manager should manage, not watch.”

“Says the one with a recording stone.” In Carolyn’s hands was a recording stone; as the cashier, should you not be managing the money?

“Hey! Why is there such a long line?! Move out of the way.” A haughty and childish voice called out. Keith and the others around turned.

A chubby child walked up in front of the store with a couple of bodyguards, “Hey! Make me food right now.”

“No,” Leon decisively declared.

“What?!”

“I don’t serve customers who try to cut in line.” Leon lifted his chin as he stared down.

“Wait a minute.” “Doesn’t that sound like?” Everyone locked eyes on Keith.

“He picked that up from you.” Carolyn and May glanced at one another before turning to Keith. The way Leon held his head as he looked down on the chubby kid. That was something Keith would do.

“…” I’m so proud of you!

“Hmpf! Do you know who I am?! I’m the son of a baron!”

“…”

We have a baron here? Keith’s brow furrowed; this was the first time he had heard about this. Actually, there was the incident at the merchant’s shop. Keith glanced at May, wanting an answer.

“There had been many nobles moving to the northern region because of the bakery and merchant group.” May held her head, “It has been troublesome.”

Keith nodded in understanding. That was when the chubby kid’s eyes were directed at both Laura and Eri, “Hey, become my wives!”

“…” Are you insane?! Have you gone mad?! The citizens around gasped.

Douglas’s eyes widened before he glanced at Keith, whose expression was indescribable right now. The people who had lived in the city for their entire lives knew this: Keith doted on the two little ones. Going with how he adopted Eri, it was probably the same amount. Demanding them to be his wives was asking for it!

The customers took a big step back! They did not want to be a part of what happened next.

“…Keith?” Carolyn gulped as she held his hand. She was afraid. She was so afraid right now. May sweated as she latched onto the other hand. They had to remind him that this was a child.

“NO!” But both children rejected him. A clear and definitive rejection!

“What?! I’m a noble!” The chubby child did not back down!

“…Child, you should be mindful.” Douglas chimed in. The child scoffed, “I can do what I want! And I want them!”

“…” You are signing your death warrant! Douglas was trying to protect the child! Did he not notice the dark clouds forming over one person? Heck! Even Carolyn and May were yards away from him: the hand they clasped was nowhere to be found. ​

That was when one civilian shouted, “Who thinks the kid is going to be sent flying?!”

“I call getting spanked in public!”

“Put 10 on the young master kicking him in the butt and sending him across the city.”

“…” Guys! You’re not helping the situation! And put me down on Keith spanking him! May and Carolyn glanced at one another before putting some bets as well.

“Oi,” Keith’s eyes darkened as he stood before them, “I will give you one warning: leave.” Keith was usually composed with children, but not this time.

“How dare you talk to the young master like this!” “Know your place!” The two bodyguards stepped forward, but that was the worst move. Keith grabbed their heads and buried them in the ground! He didn’t hit children, but the bodyguards were fair game! Keith’s eyes turned to the child who was frightened now.

The child pointed, “I will tell my father!”

“Ricardo!”

“Father!” The child’s expression brightened when he heard his voice. So the father has come here as well.

“How dare you try to injure my son!” The Baron pointed angrily at Leon and the group. The entire crowd stepped out of his way. Without hesitation, Keith approached, seized the Baron by his shoulders, and forced him to the ground.

Instant: there was no time for the noble to react. However, his expression soon turned red with rage and humiliation!

“How dare you!”

“I dare. And I’m warning you. If you don’t leave the northern region now, I’m going to wipe you out.” His eyes said everything. If the person wanted to live, then he must leave! There were no two ways about this.

“Dare threaten me?!”

“And this is why I hate new nobles.” One citizen sighed.

“How could you not recognize the young master?”

“!” The baron instantly clammed up. Young master? His eyes darted to Leon and Laura. Those two were the young children of Marquis Freed! Then this person had to be the legendary fourth master.

“Young-“ Before he even had the chance to speak, Keith grabbed his face, “Did I say you can speak?”

“…”

“Scram! If I see or hear you in the northern region, I’ll personally wipe you off the map!”

“Understood!”
