Keith observed the three from the sidelines; a proud grin was etched on his face as he watched the three work. Shaved ice. That was the dish he came to when he thought about the children: shaved ice was delicious in the summer and winter. He watched the little ones getting into the groove, slowly picking up the pace.

Carolyn nudged him, “Good job choosing this dish for them.”

It was the perfect dessert in this situation: a snowy and customizable treat. What made it better was how simple it was to make: shave the ice down and add syrup for flavor.

“Hmm, I can’t choose. Can you little ones choose for me?” One customer asked curiously; there were plenty of options to choose from. Leon pouted, lost in thought before showing his milky teeth, “Chocolate ice and strawberry syrup! Really good!”

“Then I will get that.” The customer had an enormous smile, seeing how excited he was.

So adorable!

“Mmhmm!” Eri took out a chocolate ice cube and shaved it down; Laura soon added toppings that complemented the shaved ice.

Carolyn muttered, “How did you come up with their roles?”

“I chose based on who was most suitable.” Each of them had a different skill set they excelled at: Leon was more outspoken than the two, which allowed him to speak with the customers.

Eri had strength and stamina; cranking that machine 24/7 was a task she could handle.

Laura had the greatest memory and cognition; she could recite a person’s orders with ease; it allowed her to scoop whatever toppings they wanted.

By themselves, they could not work the stall, but together, they were a well-oiled machine.

Carolyn then grinned, “And the little uniforms?” The three wore little chef outfits; it was similar to the outfits worn in the bakeries, but the little ones were more colorful.

“I asked Francis about it, and he was more than happy to make it.” Francis practically begged Keith to allow him to make the uniforms. If the man begged, why couldn’t he be obliged?

“And it seems to me you enjoy it as well?” In the princess’s hands was shaved ice. She had gotten the strawberry syrup.

“Here.”

“Thanks,” Keith ate it off her spoon, “Delicious.”

“Mama!” Leon and the two spotted Sophia and the others coming over. Sophia grinned, “My, my, my children already have a long line.” The line had stretched down the block; it may seem insignificant compared to the lines from the bakery, but for little kids, it was absurd!

“What are you making?” Sophia asked.

Leon glanced at Keith, and then he changed his posture as he coughed, “Shaved ice, beautiful lady. Three ice, choco, milk, and ice.”

“…” How cute. He was trying to act like his big brother. Leon had watched Keith keenly in how he worked and trained. There were times he would copy him; this was one of those times.

“My, you have three different types.” Thalia rested her hand on her cheek, “Which one should we choose?”

“Choco!”

“Then choco it is.” The mothers laughed at the scene. Eri shaved the ice cubes in a quick manner.

Arolina was surprised, “The little one can move so fast?”

“She’s a beastman, so her base strength is much higher,” Othniel explained. Once that was done, it was Laura’s turn to add the toppings. Thalia asked, “Carolyn, are you the cashier?”

“Mmhmm.” Carolyn was to maintain the money. Well, there was no need to at first. But when Keith saw the large number of coins being thrown, she stepped up to assist.

“What is Keith in this situation?”

“Manage and oversee.” Keith was just to stand there and help whenever he could. The group continued to do so,

“Done!” “No more!” “Bye-bye!”

Hearing their childish shouts, the customers clapped their hands. There weren’t any jeers or whines from them; the little ones had worked hard. The little ones cleaned the stall as well. Once they finished, Keith shook the basket they had, “You three earned a lot.”

“Really?!” The three children glanced at one another as they got close. The adults were piqued by their interest. That was when Keith showed it to them,

“You guys earned around 8 gold coins! Congratulations.”

“Yippee!” The little ones jumped up and down. Finrandir blinked, “Wait, they made eight gold coins?” That may not have seemed like much compared to what a king made. However, these were children. That was enormous!

“Congratulations. But you kids have to learn about management.” Keith then moved some gold coins away. Instantly, their ears dropped. Keith grabbed the cart, “No moping, let’s go home now.”

“…Wow, your son is ruthless,” Othniel muttered.

“Because he is teaching them how to run a business enterprise.”
