A God Killed Me By Accident, But I Reincarnated As The 4th Son Of The Marquis
Volume 16 Chapter 32: Shaved Ice
The next day, Keith waved, “We’re heading off now! We’ll see you in the afternoon!”
“Bye-bye!” Sitting on the cart, the three kids waved while Keith pulled. Carolyn giggled as she followed behind them to oversee it as well. William and the others nodded; the marquis’s eyes soon turned to a few people, grabbing them by the collar, “Where are you two going?”
“I want to head to the city.” “Yeah! I want to have fun,” Eric and Derek muttered.
“Go out later.”
“But!” Eric and Derek’s eyes told everyone what they wanted: to protect the little ones. They were worried something would happen to the children while they worked.
William spoke, “You two will only cause trouble.” Having the next lord and the third young master there, it would bring unnecessary eyes upon the three. He added, “Keith and Carolyn are with them.” Those two were more than capable of protecting them; to make things better, Keith’s appearance would make anyone calm down and get in line.
“Yes, Father.” Eric could only accept this while Derek groaned.
“Yeah, we can go later to support them.” What are they making? A line of drool dripped down from Julius’s mouth, “They had been secretive about it!” No one knew what Keith planned to sell for the cart; he would bring the little ones into the kitchen and lock the doors. Even when they tried to peek through the windows, he would pull the curtains to block them.
“…You look like a beast,” William grumbled. Actually, there was a beast king here; all of them acted like animals except for one. The only one who stopped them from following was William, who held them down. He had the hardest job.
Reaching the center of Vaelthryn, Keith set up the cart and asked, “Are you three ready?”
The little ones nodded, “Mmhmm!” They were all prepared.
“Then pop-up shop cart Eden snow version is a go!” With an excited shout from Keith, he pulled the covers off the cart. It was time to sell!
“...” There was a slight silence as Keith chuckled, “Naturally, we have to do some marketing first.” They just threw a stall out, and the people probably didn’t know what they were doing. However,
“Do your thing, everyone!”
“Hello!” “Please come look at our stall!” “We have tasty food!” The three childish voices called out as they waved their hands around. It was difficult not to notice their cuteness. With their cheer, someone came over.
“You three brats are loud.”
“Uncle Orin!” Leon called out.
Orin glanced at the items on the cart, “What are you selling?” There was a variety of fruit and cookies.
“Shaved ice!” Leon answered.
“Hmm? Shaved ice?” Orin tilted his head. You can make ice into a dish?
“Mmhmm! Mmhmm!” Leon then pointed at the board, “Choose syrup as well.”
The dwarf glanced up and noticed the different options. “Then I will go with the mango one.” He wanted to try something he was familiar with.
“You have your first order,” Keith called.
Eri picked an ice cube from the fridge. So it was ice. Orin thought it was only the name to let people know it was a cold item. But it was really ice.
Placing the ice into the machine, she cranked it. Slowly, the block of ice turned into ribbons of snow. Eri picked up a yellow bottle and squirted the syrup on top before handing it to Laura.
“Umm, fruits?” Laura then asked, standing behind a bunch of assortments.
“Hmm, put anything you think is delicious.” He didn’t mind what to get. Laura nodded, “Okay.” She scooped an assortment of toppings, raining them down onto his shaved ice. Before the dwarf was a beautiful pile of yellow snow, it was topped with a variety of fruits and sweets.
“Try!” Laura handed the shaved ice over to him.
Orin took a big bite. “Delicious and refreshing.” Besides the cold taste, there was a refreshing aftertaste of mango coursing through that one spoon. The fruit flavor really packed a punch! He looked down at them, their eyes staring, waiting for their first review.
“It’s delicious,” Orin repeated as he took a bite again.
“Yay!” Orin was not the only customer; the city folk were watching Orin as a test subject. Naturally, they were all staring at the stall since the fourth young master and the little masters were there. Hearing the positive review, they came over.
“Oh, I want to try some as well.”
“What an interesting product.”
Seeing that fluffy snow piled up, added with toppings and other assortments, got them excited. Keith clapped his hands, “Please line up and be mindful.” He had to warn them about it, or it would cause trouble for the little ones.
“Can I order another one?” Orin had already finished one.
“Mmhmm!” Leon nodded. That was when he noticed, “There are two different blocks.”
“Chocolate and milk ice.”
“What?!” The customers became even more excited.
“Then I will have the milk one!” The first customer spoke. Behind him, other customers were lost in thought on what combinations they could create.
