Chapter 2247: Chapter 2244: Parachuting

The helicopter was flying above the Yun Hai, so from the helicopter, the Yun Hai appeared vast and boundless, seemingly infinite, and even Lin Tian couldn’t see its end despite using all his eyesight.

And within this endless Yun Hai, several mountain peaks stood tall, their walls rising thousands of feet vertically, covered in snow and ice, glistening under the sun’s rays, appearing like celestial mountains from the heavens.

The majestic ice stretching for hundreds of meters glistened, while the clouds condensed into a somber sight; there was no desolation of the northern frontier here, but rather endless vastness, grandeur.

Such magnificent and expansive scenery even left the Ancient Martial Artists a little dumbfounded, their hearts seemingly merging with this heaven and earth, stirring their spirits.

Originally, the rookies were a bit nervous about parachuting, but inspired by the scenery, they forgot all their troubles.

Lin Tian thought of a saying: read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles. In reading, knowledge fills the mind; in traveling, the essence of the world fills the soul.

"I’m not here to disturb your sightseeing, but if I were you, it would be best to buckle up," Yan Bei suddenly interrupted, breaking everyone’s thoughts.

Before everyone could understand what was happening, the helicopter suddenly made a sharp turn, and it was a downward one, causing everyone inside to sway left and right, some even bumping their heads.

However, being Ancient Martial Artists, their reactions were fast, and everyone quickly stabilized themselves. Lin Tian glanced outside the window, noticing the helicopter had descended a lot.

"Get moving, everyone, get moving! Put on the parachute packs behind you and listen for my command," Yan Bei shouted loudly, urging everyone as he knocked on the cabin wall.

A flurry of activity ensued as everyone began to gear up. Lin Tian was putting on his gear while helping Fatty Huang, who was so large that all interfaces needed readjusting.

"Senior Yan, are we directly parachuting to the Medicine King Mansion?" Ling Shuiyao asked loudly.

"That’s a good question. Inside your parachute packs, there’s a topographical map. After landing, follow the map to find the Medicine King Mansion—this is your second test!" Yan Bei said with a mysterious smile.

Another test, Lin Tian thought to himself, the so-called opportunity doesn’t seem easy to attain.

"Senior Yan, what if we get lost and can’t find the Medicine King Mansion?" Fatty Huang asked while busy adjusting his gear.

Yan Bei glanced at Fatty with a smile, "Oh, don’t worry; there’s a signal device in your backpack. If you’re lost and feel you can’t hold on, send a signal, and someone from the Medicine King Mansion will rescue you. But this means you are eliminated."

"What if there’s an issue with the signal device or it falls into a ravine, and you can’t find me?" Fatty Huang asked once again.

Yan Bei finally got irritated, glared at him, and sternly said, "You eat a lot, hence a lot of questions, don’t doubt the capabilities of the Medicine King Mansion; if you fall into a ravine, we’ll fish you out."

"Of course, if what you say really happens and even the Medicine King Mansion can’t find you, it means your luck is extremely bad. Then, you have two choices: one, walk out by yourself; two, wait for death!"

This final statement was harsh and cold, tightening the hearts of the participants. The cabin fell silent, with only the sound of equipment being adjusted.

"Scared?" Yan Bei looked around, coldly saying, "If you’re scared, stay on the helicopter, then return from whence you came, live quietly and do your best as a common Ancient Martial Artist, forget what happened today because this place is no longer yours."

"Cultivation is a journey against the heavens; if we were afraid, we would have long since chosen to be common people," Miss said calmly, without any trace of fear on her face.

Yan Bei’s eyes lit up, nodding in satisfaction.

"Miss Xiao is right, if we were scared, we wouldn’t be on this helicopter," Yuwen Xingjian hefted his Sky Halberd, speaking boldly, though he noticed everyone was looking at him.

Lin Tian glanced at him, amused, "Brother Yuwen, take care of your Sky Halberd; the helicopter can’t withstand its trouble. If you poke a few holes, we won’t be parachuting, but the helicopter will."

"Haha, almost forgot," Yuwen Xingjian scratched his head, feeling embarrassed, and everyone finally relaxed.

Among all these weapons, only the Sky Halberd lacked a sheath-like holder. If it accidentally punctured the helicopter, that would be a different story.

However, this lighthearted interjection eased the tense atmosphere, bringing slight relief. Miss glanced at Lin Tian, thinking that as long as he was present, even the tensest atmosphere would become relaxed.

With a bang, Yan Bei suddenly opened the cabin door without warning, with a gust of cold wind sweeping in, filling every corner of the cabin. The sound of engines and wind hammered every eardrum.

Even with their impressive skills, the sudden cold wind made everyone shiver involuntarily. The wind wasn’t ordinarily cold, at least below minus ten degrees. Everyone hurried to circulate their True Qi to withstand the cold.

"Xuanxuan, are you cold?" Lin Tian held the little girl’s hand, the heat of his fire power just warming her palm.

Xiao Manxuan answered loudly, "Not cold, still quite comfortable."

The surroundings were filled with the roar and howling of wind, requiring loud voices to communicate properly.

Lin Tian nodded, saying, "Almost forgot, you’re wearing the Ice Soul Necklace, this cold is nothing."

Situ Yufeng heard the words "Ice Soul" and his eyes flickered, pondering something in his mind.

"Now, start jumping one by one, once more, accidents can lead to death. Those afraid should stay on the helicopter. It’s just a simple choice; no one will laugh at you," Yan Bei shouted loudly, his voice cutting through the noise.

"Shen Lin, you’re up first," Yan Bei commanded.

Shen Lin said nothing, calmly walked to the cabin door, and then jumped, decisively vanishing into the Yun Hai.

The helicopter continued forward, and Yan Bei commanded once more, "Little Fatty Huang, it’s your turn!"

"Me?" Fatty Huang was startled, his chubby face instantly showing signs of tension.

"Me what? Get out!" Yan Bei kicked him on the butt.

A mournful cry came as a huge parabola formed, with Fatty Huang flying out of the cabin door and crashing into the clouds, enough to churn the Yun Hai, given his size, Lin Tian couldn’t bear to look.

"Yuwen Xingjian!" Yan Bei continued calling names.

Having seen Fatty Huang’s fate, Yuwen Xingjian dared not hesitate, obediently jumping out rather than being kicked out.

"Lin Tian, I’ll jump with Xuanxuan later, be careful yourself," Miss looked back at Lin Tian, her tone somewhat tender.

Lin Tian nodded to indicate he understood, assuring her that the sisters had definitely trained together for tandem jumps, and their cooperation was skilled, making it the best choice.

Yan Bei called out names one by one: Liu Xiaoxiao, Situ Yufeng, Ji Zimo. The helicopter flew a bit further as each person jumped, finally reaching Miss after a few minutes.
