Chapter 885: Privacy and Lies

As Xiaoyun quickly zipped his pants back up, his face was unfazed as they started walking over to the dining area.

"She really just left without eating... Whatever, time for me to eat lunch."

"Do you mind calling Lily out?" Leyan requested as she headed over to the rice cooker to get bowls of rice.

"Sure."

With a left turn, Xiaoyun was in the guest hallway as he headed towards Lily’s room before knocking on the door.

"Lunch is ready."

"Okay."

The door opened, revealing Lily dressed in her casual T-shirt and jeans as she followed right behind him.

Within seconds of setting foot in the dining area, Xiaoyun could feel a tense atmosphere between the two of them.

A hint of anger was on Leyan’s face, while Lily avoided eye contact with Leyan at all costs. It was almost as if Lily had done something wrong.

"Thanks."

Xiaoyun accepted the bowl of rice before sitting down in his seat, not speaking up as he ate his food in silence.

"Hey Xiaoyun, where’s Houqin?" Leyan asked as she and Lily both started eating the food on the table.

"She’s over at her parents’ house. She’s going to spend a few days there before accompanying me on the trip."

"That’s good."

As the table fell into an awkward silence, Xiaoyun could feel the constant clash between the two of them.

Leyan clearly wanted to say something, but she kept her mouth shut, while Lily avoided all the food on the other side as if she was scared of something.

"What’s up with you two?" Xiaoyun finally asked out loud, unable to endure the awkwardness between them.

"None of your business." Leyan immediately answered as she raised her voice in anger, no longer hiding it at all.

"Okay then."

Xiaoyun ate his food in silence. He quickly realized the feud between them was something much more serious than he had imagined.

"You really want to know what your lying girlfriend had done?" Leyan suddenly spoke up again as a frown appeared on Lily’s face.

"I... I think I’m good."

Despite saying no, Leyan completely ignored it as she started rambling on about what really caused the cold war between the two.

"I went to the family doctor the next day, and you wouldn’t believe what I heard... This lying girl was making everything up the whole time."

Her voice grew increasingly louder while Lily looked down more and more, her face seemingly ashamed of what she had done.

"She had her periods almost a year ago. That whole excuse of not having periods yet was a complete lie right from the beginning.

All of this to make you cum inside her. Don’t you feel mad that she lied to you about this, Xiaoyun?"

"Well, I am annoyed to hear that she lied to me," Xiaoyun murmured, his face only showing a slight frown.

"Just annoyed? She can be pregnant right now! And you know what else the family doctor told me about?"

"This lying girl had asked the doctor if she was ready for a pregnancy, and the response was that she was still too young.

She needed to wait at least two to three years before her body was more developed. Yet she chose to lie to our faces that she didn’t have periods yet.

As Leyan repeatedly called Lily out over and over again, Xiaoyun could feel the genuine anger and frustration from her.

"Lily, it’s not good to lie."

"Sorry..."

Lily’s apology finally brought Leyan to a pause, yet the anger once again resumed as she verbally lashed out again.

"Don’t just say sorry. You know what this stupid, lying girl decided to do next when I found out about it?"

"What did she do?"

"When I asked her why she lied, she told me she just wanted to feel what it was like to be creampied.

Like, how stupid is that? Risking a chance to get pregnant for the stupidest reason I had ever heard in my life."

Xiaoyun quietly murmured as he looked over at Lily’s face, who was now looking straight down at the floor.

"What did you say?" Leyan questioned, unable to hear what he had just said under his breath.

"Nothing. Ahem, Lily. You really shouldn’t lie to us like that. We’re really, really hurt by it."

"It was a safe day... A-And it was my privacy with a doctor!" Lily argued, as a hint of defiance remained on her face.

"You still can get pregnant on a safe day. And that’s not a valid excuse to potentially damage your body like this."

Xiaoyun quickly answered before Leyan could, preventing her from dogpiling on Lily as she silently nodded her head.

"Don’t do it again, okay?"

"Okay..."

"Is that it? Xiaoyun, you’re just going to let her go like this?"

Leyan immediately questioned. Her face was full of anger as she couldn’t believe how easily Xiaoyun had moved on without a second thought.

"What do you want me to do? Kick her out of the house? Or break up with her for lying?"

This time, Leyan couldn’t answer back. None of these extreme choices had ever come up in her mind as a punishment.

"Not that. But—"

"There is no but. She learned her lesson, and it’s time to move on... Lily is an adult, and she’s responsible for her own body."

As Xiaoyun blatantly chose to side with Lily, Leyan finally realized it. She had no choice but to swallow the anger down.

"Hmph! I hope you don’t regret it when she’s pregnant."

"I’ve already got a mountain of problems. What’s one more mouth to feed at home?" Xiaoyun jokingly chuckled.

"Easy for you to say when you aren’t the one taking care of the kids."

Xiaoyun shyly scratched his head as he couldn’t argue back. It was one of the main reasons why he didn’t care so much for a potential pregnancy.

At the same time, his mind felt weirdly relieved. Just knowing Lily had her periods long ago made him feel less guilty inside.

Even if her body hasn’t finished developing, the conversation between Leyan and the doctor clearly implied Lily could have sex, albeit with protection.

"Ahem. Lily, from now on, we have to use protection. You understand that?" Xiaoyun lectured as his face grew serious.

"Okay..."

"You happy now, Leyan?"

"Hmph!"

As Leyan rolled her eyes and resumed eating again, Xiaoyun could tell she just needed a step down to save face.

"Can you two shake hands?"

"Never!" Leyan immediately answered.

"If you two don’t shake hands right now, I’m going to leave and head over to the capital early... I really mean it."

After putting on a serious face and making a threat, Leyan reluctantly sent out her hands as Lily sent out hers.

With a shake, Xiaoyun was still not satisfied, as both sides didn’t look to have dropped their grudges against each other.

"I want you two to hug."

"Why do I need to say sorry? I didn’t lie."

"Because you violated and abused your privilege to extract information meant to be between a doctor and a patient. Don’t act all innocent, Leyan."

The sudden switch-up caught Leyan completely off guard, but she soon heard the words that made her fold in the end.

"Do it, or I’m leaving."

"Fine."

Leyan once again reluctantly got up from her seat, walking over, while Lily reluctantly got up from her seat as well.

"Hands behind each other’s backs and say sorry. And Leyan, lift Lily and talk to each other face to face."

"You’re taking this too far now." Leyan immediately argued as she grew frustrated with the sudden demand.

"I guess I won’t even need to pack up and leave—"

"Fine... I’m sorry, Lily." Leyan apologized as she lifted Lily by the legs all the way up to her stomach.

’For?"

"I... I’m sorry for invading your privacy."

"Now your turn, Lily."

"I’m sorry for lying." Lily quietly murmured as the last few bits of defiance disappeared from her face.

"Perfect. Just keep hugging each other and don’t move yet..."

As Xiaoyun got up from his seat and moved closer to the two of them, he suddenly pushed them from behind.

"Mhm!"

Both of their eyes widened in shock as their lips accidently touched, unable to believe what their husband had just done.

"Now you two have to get over it—"

"Xiaoyun!"

Within seconds, Xiaoyun immediately bolted out of the dining area, running back to the living room before jumping right over the sofa.

Meanwhile, Leyan was chasing him in anger, with Lily standing still in complete shock as she touched her lips that had just kissed a woman.

"Come back before I kill you! I’m going to stab you over and over again for what you just did to me!"

"Hehe, you’ll never catch me alive."

The two kept chasing in circles as Xiaoyun ran around the sofa. He kept laughing as Leyan failed to grab him by an inch.

"Lily! What are you waiting for? Help me catch this dingus!"

As Leyan’s voice snapped Lily back to reality, the next thing she saw was Xiaoyun running right into her arms.

"I was only joking!"

Xiaoyun kept barely getting away from her angry grasp until a pair of hands from behind suddenly held onto his waist.

"Brother Xiaoyun, that was uncalled for."

"Wait, wait, wait, you can’t do this to me—Ouch!"
