World-saving Plan: The Only Savior
Chapter 2034 - 92: Original Realm Descends (Grand Finale)
The figure of the Demon Princess gradually faded away in front of Zhang Xiaoman, turning into endless Star Dust that merged with this world.
Zhang Xiaoman stood dazedly watching this scene unfold. Just before the Demon Princess dissipated, he wanted to stop it, but hesitated for just a moment, and in that instant, the Demon Princess had thoroughly integrated into this universe.
Emotionally, Zhang Xiaoman absolutely did not want to see such a result, but from a rational standpoint, this already seemed like the best solution.
The Demon Princess had been gravely injured and had persevered until now, already at the end of her strength. If he wanted to save her, it would require consuming a large amount of Boundary Value from the Original Realm. If he did so, the entire Original Realm would likely regress to an initial state, and his authority would also be restricted to the lowest level again, while the two universes facing collapse outside would inevitably head towards destruction.
Now, with the Demon Princess sacrificing herself and fully integrating into this world, the Boundary Value of the Original Realm had been elevated to unprecedented heights. Zhang Xiaoman immediately sensed that enormous surge. Currently, the Boundary Value of the Original Realm might no longer be beneath that of the First Universe and Second Universe.
"Senior... I will take it from here..."
Zhang Xiaoman looked up at the Star Dust, which was fading away, with a gloomy expression.
Though by external time, he and the Demon Princess had known each other for less than a month, under the Demon Princess’s time abilities, they had already known each other for thousands of years. This time was even longer than his original life trajectory in the outside world, so it’s impossible to say there were no emotions involved.
Of course, this affection was not a romantic one, but rather more akin to a mentor-student bond. After all, without the Demon Princess’s help, Zhang Xiaoman would have a long way to go before achieving transcendence, and it would certainly be impossible to reach his current realm.
He sighed softly, who would have thought that the one existence he initially deemed the ultimate enemy would end up being the one to help him the most.
Zhang Xiaoman closed his eyes, contemplating for a moment, then abruptly opened them with a flash of inexplicable expression.
He gently raised a hand, and from the Star Dust dispersing all around, a wisp of almost invisible aura was drawn over.
"Roar!!"
Immediately following was a dragon’s roar that vibrated the entire universe.
"Zizi!!"
Ni Yang’s massive body flew over, stopping in front of Zhang Xiaoman, plunging into madness as it watched the dispersing Star Dust.
"Zizi!! Zizi!!"
It was the first time Zhang Xiaoman had seen the old dragon so frantic, constantly reaching out to try and hold onto the Star Dust, even employing all sorts of innate Divine Skills, but no matter how it tried, there was ultimately no way.
In fact, shortly after leaving, Ni Yang had noticed something was wrong, feeling an inexplicable emptiness in its heart, as if something important was going to happen, or someone important was about to leave it.
At its level, these sensations couldn’t possibly be baseless; they must have a source.
Ni Yang knew, as of now, only two people mattered most: one was Zhang Xiaoman, and the other was naturally the Demon Princess.
This was the Original Realm Space; it didn’t believe anyone could pose a threat to Zhang Xiaoman, so that only left the Demon Princess.
Ni Yang was instantly anxious to the point of fuming.
The last time it had this feeling was when the Demon Princess left.
This time, after much difficulty, Ni Yang was determined not to allow a similar thing to happen again.
In its hurried approach, Ni Yang was blocked at several star distances away by an invisible force, watching helplessly as the Demon Princess perished, with no solution at all.
"Xiaoman! Think of something! Think of something!"
Ni Yang looked at Zhang Xiaoman with eyes full of longing, but only received a gentle shake of the head in response.
In an instant, Ni Yang, along with the entire Dragon City, seemed to age and wither away.
"The Demon Princess is dead, but I’ve captured her last wisp of aura; it carries her imprint. I might be able to let her be reborn in another form."
Zhang Xiaoman’s unexpected words brought Ni Yang back to life; it fixated its gaze on the barely discernible wisp of aura gathered in his palm.
"How? Is there anything I can help with?"
Zhang Xiaoman gently shook his head.
"This is a Law unique to the Original Realm; there’s no precedent in the outside world, so you probably can’t help. But I have to clarify beforehand: this is just a remnant of the Demon Princess’s aura. Even if reborn, it won’t be the true Demon Princess, and she won’t remember you."
Upon hearing this, Ni Yang visibly slumped in disappointment but quickly rallied, saying:
"Alright. I know this is the last resort, Xiaoman, you must succeed!"
Zhang Xiaoman nodded, saying nothing more, but then motioned at the void, and a massive Star System came flying his way.
As the Star System neared, it grew smaller and smaller, until when it arrived before him, it was the size of a palm, tightly held in his hand.
Zhang Xiaoman glanced down at the Star System in his hand, his face marked with gravity.
This Star System was a deep purple in color, and from the current angle, it appeared like an oval egg, with a faint membrane enveloping it.
[The Star Sky Dragon Egg about to hatch]
The Star Sky Divine Dragon Clan’s egg, rumored to be the only one left in existence, possessing endless longevity and the strength of a High Order Wild Beast, is the strongest dragon in the world.
