The Demon Princess’s voice flowed softly into Zhang Xiaoman’s ears; her tone was calm and gentle, yet every word felt as heavy as an endless Abyss.

"No, Demon Princess, you really don’t have to do this. We still have other ways. I can bring them all in here. You don’t have to do this, really!!"

Zhang Xiaoman was burning with anxiety, trying to persuade her to change her mind.

The Demon Princess smiled and shook her head.

"Those two worlds are his and my hometown. Guarding them is not only my duty, it’s also his wish. I’ve held the line for so many years—how could I just watch them be wiped out."

Looking at the Demon Princess’s free and relieved smile, Zhang Xiaoman was struck dumb, not knowing how to persuade her for a moment.
