World-saving Plan: The Only Savior
Chapter 2030 - 90: The Great Collapse (Part 2)
Huan Cai was dumbfounded at the words, staring dazedly as the colorful thread floated toward her and then fused into her body.
She never thought that Zhang Xiaoman’s strength had reached such a level, able to easily coalesce the Tao Fruit of a fallen Dominator and gift it to her. It’s known that it was Qiu Huang’s Tao Fruit, after all.
Not to mention the other party is such a powerful Upper God; merely the fact of being the founder of the Star Pattern System means that this Tao Fruit is something countless Star Pattern Masters like her dream of. Although she had previously imprinted the Sixth Star Pattern with the help of the Demon Princess, this Tao Fruit, which gathers Qiu Huang’s lifelong Star Pattern Experience, remained unattainable to her.
Unexpectedly, Zhang Xiaoman so effortlessly bestowed such a great fortune upon her. This gift truly made her feel overwhelmed with gratitude.
Huan Cai was not the only one benefiting; Zhang Xiaoman extended his hand into the void, and several Tao Fruits, shimmering with intoxicating radiance, were grabbed by him.
These contained Qiu Huang’s lifetime of insights across various domains of cultivation. Each one could shake the entire Star Domain, yet now Zhang Xiaoman handed them out one by one to everyone present, like wholesale.
Naphaya, Yeluo, Su Changqing, and others received immense benefits, even Ni Yang gained, drawing a step closer to crossing that last hurdle to the Supreme Level.
"Who would’ve thought Qiu Huang’s Strength would make the Original Realm grow so much. If I were to bring all those Lost Souls from outside in, wouldn’t it..."
A thought suddenly flared in Zhang Xiaoman’s mind.
But he quickly shook his head, denying this idea. Simply put, the difficulty alone would be far greater than imagined.
Remember, those Lost Souls are not just any random lackeys; these are true giants who achieved Upper Transcendent Level tens of thousands to millions of years ago, the top existences of this universe. Even though Zhang Xiaoman has now reached the Upper Transcendent Level and mastered the method to wield Forbidden Power, even if those beings are no longer at their peak, he couldn’t confidently claim to take them down securely.
Abandoning this thought, Zhang Xiaoman calmed himself and refocused.
Now is not the time for wild ideas; he hadn’t forgotten that the battle outside the Original Realm was far from over. The Demon Princess was still dealing with those Lost Souls, and he couldn’t delay or be careless—he must hurry back to assist.
"How is the situation outside? Is Zizi alright?"
However, amidst those present, someone was more concerned with the affairs in the Chaotic Void than Zhang Xiaoman, and that was naturally Ni Yang.
"The Demon Princess is strong and has the Soul-locking Array to aid her; she should not be in danger. Rest assured, I will head out to help her now."
"I will accompany you!"
Zhang Xiaoman shook his head and said:
"No, this journey is perilous. I have the Original Realm, able to return at any time. If you’re entangled by those Lost Souls, it will be very difficult to extricate yourself. Besides, my rear needs someone to watch over it, Ni Yang, stay here for now and keep an eye on the Demon Clan’s movements. The outside magic tide hasn’t stopped yet."
"Damn!"
Ni Yang clenched his paw in frustration.
Though he appeared discontented, he did not further protest.
Ni Yang understood clearly that with his current Strength, facing Supreme Level opponents would render him helpless—possibly even a hinderance. His previous insistence was solely emotional, hence he did not persist.
Still, this did not mean he would stand idle. Having just acquired part of Qiu Huang’s cultivation Tao Fruit, Ni Yang also gained considerably and planned to seize this opportunity to break through, striving to reach that tier.
Zhang Xiaoman swiftly assigned tasks to everyone, focusing on opposing the magic tide.
Though he had located the source of the magic tide, until it is fully dealt with, the tide itself persists. He cannot cast even a clone Magic or anything external, leaving others to handle it.
Star Alliance has now grown into a colossal entity and with Ni Yang, a figure of such Level, presiding, it should not pose too much of an issue.
After organizing some matters, Zhang Xiaoman quickly flickered away from there. Since he could enter and exit the Original Realm Space at any time without using the Tree Gate, a clear advantage emerged—by simply leaving combat, he could swiftly replenish his Status at will. This tactic is highly useful now.
When Zhang Xiaoman reappeared at the edge of the Chaotic Void, he was restored to his peak, ready to assist the Demon Princess. Yet, the scene before him made his pupils contract involuntarily.
The space before him was no longer the dead stillness it initially was; everything shook violently. Countless visible cracks spread in all directions, dismantling anything it touched, even the purple glow representing the Chaotic Void.
Zhang Xiaoman couldn’t describe the scene—like a comic forcibly torn into pieces, leaving remnants of the purple Chaotic Void he couldn’t depict; this was a sight beyond description.
Even though everything defied comprehension, Zhang Xiaoman understood clearly that if such development continued unchecked, the world itself would likely cease to exist.
"Great Collapse!?"
Instinctively, a term surfaced in his mind; though he had never experienced it, upon witnessing the spectacle, Zhang Xiaoman instantly discerned what occurred.
The Great Collapse arrived!
"Why did this happen..."
Zhang Xiaoman’s eyes narrowed, immediately attributing it to the escaped Lost Souls; as the Demon Princess had mentioned, this fusion of two universes was crucial yet most susceptible to issues, merely detaching some Lost Souls triggered the universe’s Great Collapse.
"Demon Princess!"
Zhang Xiaoman looked over, his face revealing alarm.
The Demon Princess no longer retained a composed demeanor; her entire body was stained with blood as she half-knelt in the shattered Soul-locking Array, appearing to be near her limit.
Beside her, over a dozen Lost Souls were bound by black chains emanating from her feet, unable to escape despite desperate struggles.
"Demon Princess! Let go! If you intend to die, don’t drag us along!"
"Demon Princess! We’ve come to this point, yet why do you persist in forcing us?"
"Ahhhhh! I will kill you! Demon Princess, I will kill you!"
"..."
Some cursed, others pleaded, and some silently unleashed Divine Skills to break away without success—the Demon Princess remained unmoved.
Meanwhile, they constantly dodged surrounding cracks. A few unlucky ones failed to evade and were overtaken, causing their bodies to tear as the world around them did, annihilating without a chance for Recovery, just fallen.
Among the Lost Souls, there were over a dozen, yet all were bound by the Demon Princess alone with black chains in the air—it was hard to imagine how she accomplished such a feat; being Upper Transcendent Level, she singlehandedly confronted so many foes.
Zhang Xiaoman knew the Soul-locking Array surely played its part, but it couldn’t overshadow the Demon Princess’s formidable Strength. Her current power seconded only to the Demon Lord of old, justifying being called the strongest in this universe.
Now, seeing Zhang Xiaoman emerge, the Demon Princess appeared slightly relieved, even easing her previously furrowed brow a bit.
