World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 140: A New Title (Part 4)
Right before releasing the bolt, Evan activated the Absolute Bolt skill of the Arch Eagle Crossbow, doubling the bolt’s power.
Swish!!!
As soon as he released it, the bolt disappeared into the pit at the speed of light.
Evan stared into the seemingly bottomless pit from the sky, his gaze extremely focused.
Two seconds after the bolt disappeared into the pit—
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
An earth-shattering explosion shook the entire second floor.
Rumble!
The trees in the distance began to fall one after another as the entire floor experienced a massive earthquake.
A cloud of dust mixed with blood and flesh slowly rose from inside the pit, ascending toward the sky.
At the same time, hundreds of notifications flashed before Evan’s eyes.
[You have killed Rank One Poison Spider Guard, Level 43.]
[You have killed Rank One Hard Shell Spider, Level 49.]
[You have killed Rank One Arcane Spider, Level 48.]
[You have killed Rank One Poison Spider, Level 49.]
[You have killed—]
There were so many notifications that Evan couldn’t even keep up with them.
And Evan wasn’t the only one who received notifications. Alice and the others also received two notifications.
[The Spider Mother has been killed. You have cleared the second floor.]
[You can enter the third floor of the dungeon.]
"That Spider Mother really was hiding in that deep pit," Kevin muttered in a dazed voice, barely able to remain standing after the earthquake earlier.
Alice and the others were also silent as they looked at the notifications and then at Evan, who had nearly destroyed the entire floor.
After a minute, the notifications appearing before Evan finally stopped, allowing him to see some useful information.
[You have leveled up and reached Level 38. You have received 3 free stat points.]
[You have leveled up and reached Level 39. You have received 3 free stat points.]
[You have received the title ’EXTERMINATOR’.]
---) EXTERMINATOR: The chances of dealing critical damage increase by 10%.
Evan looked at the new title he had just received and felt speechless.
’What the hell is wrong with my titles? Looking at them, I feel like I am some kind of world-destroying monster.’
With the addition of this new title, Evan now had three titles: SLAYER, CONQUEROR, and EXTERMINATOR.
If anyone else saw these titles on his status window, they would think he was some kind of mass-murdering psycho who went around killing and exterminating people on a whim.
’I better not tell Grandpa about my titles, or he will definitely label me a true villain,’ He thought as he remembered Alfred’s strange personality.
Closing his status window, Evan descended from the sky and landed beside Alice and the others, who were looking at the golden portal that had appeared after he killed the Spider Mother.
"Should we go now, or do you want to rest for a bit?" Alice asked after Evan landed.
"Let’s take a short break. I have to check something," Evan said before sitting down near a tree and drinking a Mana Potion.
Once he was done, his eyes gleamed slightly as he looked at the Mana Cores in his Storage Ring.
’Now that I have so many Mana Cores, I should evolve that skill.’
After hesitating for a moment, Evan took out ten Rank One Mana Cores and the Rank Two Mana Core he had obtained from the Lizard King in the Castle of Lizardmen Dungeon.
’I can always get more Mana Cores, and increasing my own strength should be my top priority.’
He tried to convince himself that using his only Rank Two Mana Core was worth it.
After making up his mind, he opened his status window without further hesitation.
He looked at one of his skills and, after confirming that it had met the evolution requirements, proceeded with its evolution.
The ten Rank One Mana Cores and the single Rank Two Mana Core in his hand suddenly turned to dust, and the energy contained within them rushed into Evan’s body.
’I have a strong feeling that I am going to get something good once this evolves into a Rank Two skill,’ He thought to himself, keeping his gaze fixed on his status window.
Kevin and the others watched what Evan was doing, and looks of surprise flashed across their faces.
"Where did this guy get a Rank Two Mana Core?" Kevin asked curiously, staring at Evan, who was surrounded by the energy released from the Mana Cores.
"Forget about that useless question. I am more interested in what kind of skill he’s evolving and whether he’ll become even stronger afterward," Liam muttered with an interested expression.
When Kevin and the others heard Liam’s words, they were left speechless and looked at Evan strangely.
"Looks like I will have to start training seriously if I want to do missions with him after he joins the main academy on Planet Agroth," Kevin said as he stretched his body.
After a minute, the energy released by the Mana Cores disappeared, and a notification appeared before Evan, providing details about his newly evolved skill.
Evan read the details of his evolved skill, and the more he read, the more excited he became.
When Erza and the others saw the wide smile on Evan’s face, which almost stretched from ear to ear, they couldn’t help but feel speechless.
"Is he all right?" Erza asked in a low voice, taking a step back as she found his smile rather creepy.
Liam stared at Evan’s expression carefully before speaking.
"Judging by his expression, I am more worried about the person who’ll have to face his evolved skill."
After reading the details of his skill, Evan closed his status window and reined in his excitement before finally looking at Alice and the others.
"All right, we can go to the next floor now," He said as he stood up.
"You don’t want to rest a bit longer?" Alice raised an eyebrow. "You must have used a lot of Mana in that last attack. You should recover for a little longer."
"It’s not a problem." Evan shook his head. "I still have some Mana left, and it’ll recover soon under the effects of the Mana Potion."
"If you say so."
Alice didn’t say anything else after hearing his response, and they walked toward the portal leading to the third floor.
All of them stepped into the portal, and the next second, they disappeared from the second floor.
[You have arrived at the third floor of the dungeon.]
[Survive the five waves of monsters to clear this floor.]
