World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Chapter 137: A New Title (Part 1)

Liam and Erza searched the corpses of the monsters they had killed, and their luck was far better than Evan’s.

From the ten corpses, they found five Mana Cores, almost double of what Evan had obtained.

"Here." After collecting the cores, Liam handed all five to Evan.

Evan was taken aback and looked at Liam and Erza in surprise.

"We don’t need Rank One Cores. We just came here to have fun. You can take all the cores..." Liam said with a wave of his hand, looking like a rich young master who liked to throw money around.

Kevin and the others didn’t object to Liam’s words and simply nodded, indicating that they had no problem with it.

Evan felt a bit embarrassed, but he didn’t refuse them, as he really needed Mana Cores to buy many things from Planet Elvador.

"Let’s move forward..." Kevin said, and everyone began to move.

This time, Liam didn’t go ahead to scout their surroundings but walked alongside the others.

Around ten minutes later, Evan sensed five presences with the help of Wind Detection.

"There are five monsters about one hundred and fifty meters ahead of us," He informed everyone.

"Your skill is really something else. Not only is your attack power ridiculously strong, but you also have the ability to scout..." Liam couldn’t help but say when he heard Evan.

Evan smiled slightly at his words but didn’t say anything.

Soon, they reached the location where Evan had sensed the Magical Beasts, and looks of surprise appeared on their faces.

"Whoa! They are huge!" Kevin exclaimed when he saw the monsters.

In front of Evan and the others, five bear-like Magical Beasts covered in dark brown fur were sleeping.

But what surprised them was that every single one of them was almost eight meters tall, making them look like giants.

As Evan and the others stopped some distance away from them, all five bears woke up at the same time and stared at them with cold eyes filled with bloodlust.

Liam’s lips curled upward slightly, and he immediately dashed forward.

"Let’s see who wins this time!" He shouted, and his figure disappeared.

This time, he was determined to kill monsters faster than Evan.

A few moments later, Liam looked at Evan with a twitching mouth, his face filled with disbelief.

"You... Aren’t you a mage? How did you blow that guy’s head away with just a single punch?"

"When did I say I was a mage?" Evan tilted his head slightly. "I am also very good at using my fists."

Earlier, Evan had wanted to test the power of Sky Fall after the massive boost in his stats.

As such, he casually used it against one of the bears.

The result of that punch was that the upper half of the bear’s body was blasted into a bloody mess, splattering across Liam’s face as he fought nearby and nearly scaring him to death.

Not only Liam, but Kevin and the others were also speechless when they heard Evan claim that he was good at fighting with his fists as well.

’Doesn’t that mean almost all his stats are off the charts?’ Alice couldn’t help but feel dazed for a moment.

Previously, she had thought Evan’s highest stats were Mana and Magic. After all, the power of the mana bolt he had used in the wilderness was extremely high.

Then, during the agility training at the academy, she had realized that even his Stamina and Agility were very high.

Now, after seeing him blow away a bear’s upper body with a single punch, she understood that his Strength stat was also incredibly high.

’Just what kind of freak is this guy? Even the top students of the Main Academy wouldn’t be as good as him.’

She took a deep breath to calm herself before speaking.

"Let’s move on. We still need to clear many monsters before we can reach the next floor."

Evan and the others nodded and after collecting two Mana Cores from the dead monsters, they continued moving forward.

****

Swish!

A curved sword engulfed in flames slashed forward at lightning speed, instantly decapitating a two-meter-tall lion.

Alice exhaled lightly, and the flames burning on her sword disappeared.

"It’s been two hours since we entered the dungeon. When will we reach the end of this floor?" Liam grumbled as he wiped the blood from his daggers.

"It’s a Rank Two Dungeon. Do you really think it’s that easy to reach the next floor?" Kevin rolled his eyes as he used a healing skill on Erza’s shoulder, which had been wounded earlier during a fight.

Evan looked ahead of them and narrowed his eyes.

"I think we’re about to reach the end of the floor. I can already see the edge of the forest from here."

"Really?" Liam’s eyes lit up, and he immediately sprang to his feet. "Let’s hurry up, my soldiers! Your king can’t wait to conquer this land and create a new empire for all of you!"

Evan gave Liam a weird look before turning toward Alice.

"Are you guys sure he’s right in the head?"

Alice remained silent for a moment before speaking.

"He is fine... Probably."

Evan’s mouth twitched at her uncertain tone, and he decided to ignore Liam’s antics.

Soon, everyone recovered and headed in the direction of the forest’s edge that Evan had spotted.

Around ten minutes later, they emerged from behind the tall trees and finally left the forest.

"Hmm?" Kevin raised an eyebrow after they left the forest.

"We didn’t get the notification about clearing the floor," He muttered in a low voice.

Normally, Alice and the others wouldn’t have had to think too much about how to clear the floors of this dungeon, as they could rely on information gathered by other students.

However, the Animal Kingdom Dungeon was different.

Some students from the academy had entered the Animal Kingdom Dungeon when it first appeared and cleared it.

Alice and the others had looked through the available information before entering, but most of it was useless because the terrain of the Animal Kingdom Dungeon was constantly changing.

From the information, they had learned that every time someone entered the dungeon, there was no guarantee that they would encounter the same terrain on each floor.

For example, when the students first entered the dungeon, they had appeared near a lake close to the forest.

The second batch of students, however, had appeared near a hillside.

The Animal Kingdom Dungeon was a rare type of dungeon with different terrain and challenges, so the information they had about it wasn’t particularly useful.

The forest terrain had appeared for the first time, so they weren’t sure how far they needed to advance before reaching the end of the floor.

"Since we haven’t received the notification about clearing the floor, it means we have to continue moving forward," Liam said with a sigh.

He was about to move again when, suddenly, a giant magic circle appeared in the sky.

Shrieeek!

A loud shriek echoed through the area, and a monster ten meters long and five meters tall emerged from the circle.

Shriek!

The monster let out another loud shriek and spread its wings, flying above them.

The flying Magical Beast had a face resembling an eagle, and its entire body was covered in black scales.

Circling in the sky, the monster looked down at them, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

"Well, I can’t fight a flying-type monster, so you guys take care of it," Kevin said, backing away.

"I am not interested either," Liam added, taking a step back as well.

"My hands are sore, and I can’t shoot any more arrows. I will eave this abomination to you," Erza added, joining Kevin and Liam.

Alice and Evan rolled their eyes at their excuses.

However, it was indeed difficult for Rank One Evolvers to fight against a flying Magical Beast, especially when that beast was at the peak of Rank One.

"Let me handle it," Evan said to Alice.

She didn’t refuse, as she knew he could fly.

Taking a step forward, Evan used Wings of Wind and immediately shot into the sky.

Looking at the flying Magical Beast, he couldn’t help but sigh.

’I wish it were a Rank Two monster. I need a Mana Core from a Rank Two flying-type monster to evolve my Wind Monarch skill to Rank Two,’ Evan muttered to himself as he stopped some distance away from it.

Shrieeek!

The monster let out another deafening shriek when Evan stopped some distance away from it and glared at him.

"Shriek all you want. This is the last time you’re going to make that sound," Evan said with a sneer, his eyes glowing with a green luster.

Suddenly, the wind around the monster froze, and light-green spears began to materialize around it.

Sensing the threat, the monster reacted quickly and tried to fly away from the spears.

"Shackles of Wind!"

But before it could move, Evan’s voice reached its ears, and its body stiffened.

Swish! Swish!

Dozens of wind spears tore through the air and pierced the monster from every direction, making it cry out in pain as blood rained down from the sky and it began to fall.

Seeing the monster falling, Evan flapped his wings and immediately appeared above it.

He raised his fist and, without using any skill, punched down.

"Goodbye."

Bang!

His fist landed right on the monster’s back, breaking its spine and sending it hurtling toward the ground like a meteorite.

BOOOOM!

The monster crashed into the ground with a loud boom, shattering the hard earth as shock waves spread in all directions, making the surrounding trees rustle.

The monster struggled to stand after the fall, but just a few seconds later, it stopped moving, and its life aura disappeared.

[You have killed Rank One Abrost Sparrow, Level 50.]

[You have cleared the first floor.]
