Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 1083 - 884: Level 4 Witchcraft Artifact
The dust and chaotic energy currents had yet to dissipate, but Duke was already diving down from mid-air.
That six-colored light ball had nearly drained most of his magic power, and his spiritual power was extremely exhausted.
Magic power could quickly recover, but spiritual power wasn’t so easily replenished; he had to temporarily drink a potion to stabilize it.
The six rule branches slightly trembled in the Spiritual Sea, each pulse accompanied by a fatigue akin to needle pricks.
Yet Duke didn’t give himself any respite. His right hand suddenly clenched during the dive, six colors of rule light erupted from his palm, extended along his fingers, coalesced, and solidified, turning into a six-colored long blade as tall as he was in the blink of an eye.
The blade was semi-transparent, with six colors of rule light coursing inside, each intersection of light on the edge of the blade sparking extremely subtle spatial ripples.
The blade tip trailed behind, scoring a thin line on the ground, the rocks on both sides silently vaporized, leaving not even a trace of powder.
Audric lay face-up in the rubble at the edge of the crater, his scale armor shattered, an arm unnaturally twisted at his side.
He saw the swiftly approaching six-colored blade light, its image reflecting in his dim vertical pupils.
Audric’s lips moved a few times, his throat emitting a few indistinct gurgles as his blood-clotted windpipe struggled to force air.
His left arm was already shattered, the right barely able to move.
With the last of his strength, he manipulated his spiritual power, causing the Divine Revelation Mark to suddenly glow upon contact.
Audric had already obtained the first layer’s key, even without the three treasures taken from the royal vault today, he would have had enough long ago.
The Bloodgold Clan’s direct descendants don’t need handouts to pass through; he stayed on the first layer for more resources and points.
Activating the Divine Revelation Mark would immediately transport him away from this cursed battlefield.
He was unwilling, but staying would mean death.
Duke also saw the silver-blue light that had suddenly appeared.
He abruptly sped up his dive, raising the six-colored long blade high, slicing the arc through the air to slash down diagonally towards Audric’s head.
The moment the blade light fell, Audric’s entire body was enveloped by the silver-blue teleportation light, space began warping around him, and his figure became blurred and transparent.
The six-colored long blade sliced into the closing teleportation beam, first encountering a momentary resistance, which then abruptly disappeared.
A left hand adorned with a dark gold Space Ring and half of a shoulder was forcibly cut from the teleportation light, leaving behind a smooth cut, the high temperature of the six-colored divine light cauterizing the blood vessels instantaneously, sealing them shut without a single drop of blood spilling.
In the next moment, the teleportation light closed entirely, swallowing Audric’s broken body, disappearing into the air.
Duke lowered the blade as he landed, its tip pointing diagonally at the ground, six colors of light slowly swirling along its blade.
The severed shoulder and hand plopped down into the pile of rubble, the fingers twitching slightly, three dark gold Space Rings casting a cold glow on the severed hand’s fingers.
He bent down, picked up the severed hand from the rubble, crudely erased the spiritual brand from the rings, rapidly probing their contents, then raised an eyebrow slightly.
The Bloodgold Clan’s direct descendant’s wealth was even more substantial than he had expected.
Within these three Space Rings were not only resources Audric had scavenged from the first layer, but also all the treasures he’d taken from the Osseron Royal Family and the nobles.
Duke tucked the rings into his chest, glanced back at the massive crater still swirling with dark red magma, this place had become a desolate, energy chaotic wasteland.
Duke didn’t immediately activate the path to the second layer; who knew what awaited him upon transferring.
The six-colored light ball had nearly drained half of his magic power in his Spiritual Sea, the six rule branches still slightly trembling, every pulse carrying a needle-like fatigue.
In this state, hastily teleporting to the second layer could be disastrous if he landed near enemies or some dangerous native organisms.
This valley was no place for lingering either; the explosion from the collision of the six-colored light ball and gold sphere was too massive, the shockwave had leveled mountain peaks within several kilometers, leaving a crater hundreds of meters deep at the original site, the bottom still bubbling with dark red magma. Such battle scars could alarm all indigenous forces and competitors within a hundred-mile radius.
He hesitated no longer, his figure gently swayed on the spot, transforming into an almost imperceptible breeze, silently drifting along the edge of the valley ruins into the depths of the remaining northern forest.
Duke traversed through the forest for some time, distancing himself from the combat zone, ultimately stopping before a natural cave concealed by a waterfall.
He passed through the curtain of water, setting up vigilance and defense arrays inside the cave before activating the entrance to the Light God Court, disappearing from the cave.
The Divine Court’s sky remained bright and gentle, the sapling of the World Tree slowly stretching tender leaves visible through the surface of the Spring of Life.
Beside the sapling, the statue taken from Victor continued releasing vibrant green life energy at a steady pace, the energy absorbed by the sapling’s slender roots as they lined the spring, causing the entire sapling to emit a gentle and serene light-green hue.
