Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 1081 - 883: Power of the Six-Colored Divine Light
Duke stood above the Demon God’s left shoulder, his gaze sweeping over the golden flowers floating nearby, his brows slightly furrowed.
He flicked his fingers, and a sand arrow enveloped in Four-Color Divine Light shot toward the densest area of the golden flowers. During its flight, the arrow’s trajectory was precisely captured by the outermost flowers.
The stamens of those flowers simultaneously turned toward the direction the sand arrow came from, and the entire sea of flowers reacted in a single instant.
The flowers ahead of the sand arrow moved aside, while the flowers on its flanks closed in from multiple angles, and the flowers behind swiftly filled in the gaps in its retreat path.
This was absolute control over every inch of the battlefield space, with the sand arrow maneuvering left and right through the dense sea of flowers until it collided with several golden flowers that had closed in from the side, the Four-Color Divine Light fiercely clashing with the pale golden glow on the petals, exploding into a ripple of energy.
Petals of several golden flowers were shattered, but more flowers immediately filled the gap.
Duke withdrew his right hand, watching as the sea of flowers sealed off the position where the sand arrow had exploded.
He fully understood Audric’s Secret Technique, where each golden flower served as an eye, tracking the positions, movements, and energy flows of all targets on the battlefield in real time.
The perception network formed by thousands of golden flowers had pushed Audric’s control over this battlefield to its limits.
In the moment Duke concentrated his observation, Audric had already launched another attack.
This time, his attack mode was completely different; each claw of the dragon precisely struck the weakest points in the Demon God’s techniques, each Dragon Breath landed on the aerial reefs Duke was about to step on, and each sweep of the dragon’s tail precisely cut off Duke’s retreat path.
The Demon God roared, swinging his twin axes, attempting to slash the dragon’s neck from the side. Audric didn’t even need to turn his head; the golden flowers around him had already projected the axe blades’ trajectory into his perception.
The dragon’s neck slightly tilted aside to avoid the axe’s edge, while the left claw struck the Demon God’s side waist, causing the massive Demon God to stagger back several steps.
Duke took the opportunity to leap off the Demon God’s shoulder, transforming mid-air into a stream of Four-Color Divine Light straight towards the area on Audric’s back where the scales were grazed by the sand arrow earlier.
Dozens of golden flowers’ stamens simultaneously turned to Duke’s flying direction, responding faster than Audric himself, recalculating the trajectory almost simultaneously as Duke changed direction.
As Duke’s Four-Color Fist was mere feet away from the dragon’s back, a dozen golden flowers had already formed three overlapping Defense Barriers in front of him.
Duke’s fist shattered two barriers, but the third remained unmoved.
He used the recoil force to flip backward, releasing a wave of sand arrows from his sleeve before landing, simultaneously aiming at the gaps in the scale armor of the dragon wing joint from multiple angles.
Audric let out a low roar, the dragon wings vibrating fiercely to deflect all the sand arrows, while the right claw smashed down at Duke with the momentum of Mount Tai.
The metallic yellow sand beside Duke automatically condensed into a shield, barely blocking the claw, causing him to be pushed back tens of meters before steadying his stance.
The situation reached a stalemate. Audric’s golden flower perception network was airtight; every Duke’s attack was anticipated, every retreat path was sealed in advance, leaving no offensive route capable of causing substantial harm.
Yet Audric couldn’t deal with Duke either; the Demon God was held in check at the forefront, while Duke’s metallic yellow sand and Four-Color Divine Light relentlessly harassed the flanks. Each time Audric gathered power to tackle one, the other would exploit the opening, forcing him to frequently switch the golden flowers between offense and defense.
Both parties possessed impregnable defense systems against the other, leaving the balance scale of victory stagnant between offense and defense.
Audric was evidently growing impatient; he simply wanted to quickly take down Duke. Retreating a bit, he began to chant Magic in Dragon Language, conjuring a massive Dragon’s Vertical Pupil behind him.
Duke stood above the Demon God’s left shoulder, his gaze tightly locked onto the part of the battlefield undergoing transformation.
Since Audric uttered that string of Dragon Language, the entire valley’s atmosphere had changed.
The golden flowers that were originally floating and gently rotating in mid-air suddenly ceased all movement simultaneously; petals stopped rotating, stamens stopped scanning, as if a higher will than theirs had descended upon the battlefield, freezing them in place.
The energy intensity within the Vertical Pupil surged dramatically, each pulse exploding a circle of dark golden lightning at the pupil’s edge.
Those lightning bolts contracted inward, resembling layers of red-hot chains wrapping around something on the verge of breaking free.
The air directly below the Vertical Pupil could no longer withstand the pressure, beginning to ionize, emitting subtle sizzling sounds.
The scattered stones and broken pine branches on the ground were lifted by an invisible force, slowly rising toward the Vertical Pupil, yet upon approaching a certain distance, they were vaporized by the intense light with no ash left behind.
Duke saw Audric’s massive dragon form slowly curling into a ball, limbs retracting, dragon wings folding, the long dragon neck bending inward, burying the enormous dragon head at the core.
Countless streams of dark golden light poured from the gaps in the dragon scales, flowing, converging, interweaving around him like molten gold, eventually condensing into a perfectly round dark golden orb, enveloping the entire dragon tightly within.
