Chapter 524 -378: The Kingdom’s Festering Situation and Isaac… Enters the Game

Before long, the light of the Ritual Array slowly faded. The Authority Crystal had completely merged with Isaac’s body, but the cloying, multicolored light had not disappeared.

Looking at the multicolored light in his hand, a slight smile played on Isaac’s lips. ‘He knew it,’ he thought. ‘There wasn’t a single good Evil God out there—each one was rotten to the core!’

‘I was just trying to take back what was mine, and these bastards still had the audacity to tamper with it.’

Shaking his head and sighing at the despicableness of the Evil Gods, Isaac stored the multicolored light away. Although it clearly wasn’t anything good, it could still be used to pull a dirty trick on someone when they least expected it.

This was Malice, a type of divine radiance. Unlike the Benevolence of True Gods, it was born from the fact that Evil Gods were utterly indiscriminate in consuming the Power of Faith. Compared to the Benevolence created from heartfelt wishes, this stuff was pure poison; even a Legendary Mage couldn’t extract anything useful from it.

Once tainted by this stuff, it was like a highly addictive drug. A person would descend into madness in an incredibly short amount of time!

Unless one possessed Divinity, there was no escaping it. It was terrifying!

With a wave of his hand, he casually summoned a few Dimension Apostles to clean up the ritual site. Then, Isaac turned and went into his study. He took a vial of blood from a drawer, a faint glow flickering in his eyes as streams of information instantly flooded his mind like a tidal wave.

The long-lost, exhilarating feeling made the corners of Isaac’s mouth curl up. ‘[Analysis] Authority truly is one of the most powerful Wizard’s Authorities. Using it for research is incredibly effective!’

However, even though the [Analysis] Authority had been strengthened, Isaac only glanced at the Witch’s Blood for a moment before putting it away. The [Analysis] Authority was a Tier Six power, but it was currently sealed. It would take time to unlock its full potential. Before that, research on the Witch was not a priority.

For now, there was something else that was relatively more important…

Isaac picked up a letter from his desk, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Ostensibly, it was an invitation to participate in the development of a Tier Five Little World. In reality, it was a letter crying for help—a plea for aid from the Terra Kingdom!

This wasn’t the first time the Terra Kingdom had sent a plea for aid. Though only half a year had passed, the Kingdom’s situation was deteriorating by the day. In just six short months, its sphere of influence had shrunk by another sixty percent!

As for its Transcendent fighting force, they had either died or deserted. According to Isaac’s current intelligence, their sole remaining Demigod was not yet dead, but his situation seemed even more dire. The only reason he was still alive was precisely because he was about to die.

A dying Demigod, on top of the thousand-year accumulation of a former Empire…

If an old monster like that truly went berserk, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to take one or two other Demigods with him before he died. Therefore, the major powers were all treating this Demigod with extreme caution, adopting a strategy of simply waiting for him to die of old age.

After all, the Demigod Mages’ promise restricted not only the aggressors but also this Demigod to a certain extent. If he were to truly go on a rampage and kill indiscriminately, the Demigod Mages might not uphold their prior commitment.

Below the Demigod, the situation for the Terra Kingdom’s Transcendents wasn’t ideal either. Currently, only three Tier Five Knights remained. Two followed the ordinary Path of the Demon Beasts, and only one walked the Path of the Gods.

Of course, given the Terra Kingdom’s current circumstances, it was hard to say whose choice was better.

After all, the Path of the Demon Beasts still had room for advancement, but the Path of the Gods was truly cut off. With the Terra Kingdom’s shrunken territory, it was difficult to even support the daily cultivation of a Tier Four Knight of God, let alone a Tier Five one.

Below Tier Five, however, the situation at Tier Four was much better. The power of a Tier Four is in an awkward spot—not strong enough to decide the outcome of the overall war, but with complex networks of relationships below them. Correspondingly, they weren’t as loyal to the Terra Kingdom.

The vast majority of them, like Isaac, were only assisting the Terra Kingdom because following it offered a better opportunity to develop Little Worlds. That was all.

Therefore, aside from members of the Terra Royal Family, there hadn’t been many losses among the Tier Four powerhouses.

Yes, members of the Terra Royal Family had to be excluded!

As of now, only three Tier Four powerhouses remained in the Terra Royal Family: the Eldest Prince, a Knight of God of the Boundless path; Princess Philo, a Miracle Mage of the Mad Witch path; and the Fourth Prince Nostrum, a Tier Four Great Arcanist who kept a certain distance from the royal family.

Of course, among them, the Fourth Prince’s Tier Four status was a sham. He was originally only Tier Three and was still a long way from Tier Four. On the path to Tier Four, he hadn’t even been comparable to Isaac’s older sister. But with the royal family’s help, he had successfully completed the Trial of the Endless Tower and advanced to Tier Four.

Unfortunately, an Arcanist is different from a Legendary Mage. Even if the theoretically perfect advancement from the Endless Tower granted him an extremely powerful Tier Four Great Arcane Art, the most important thing for an Arcanist is Knowledge!

For an Arcanist, the process of advancing from Tier Three to Tier Four is far more important than the destination itself!

Undoubtedly, the Fourth Prince had traded his potential for immediate combat power. As an Arcanist, he would never have been so shortsighted on his own; he must have been pressured by the royal family.

Because of this, his current attitude toward the Terra Royal Family was somewhat ambivalent.

As for those below Tier Four, the Tier Threes…

Their situation was relatively better. Although casualties were also heavy, they were at least more loyal. After all, the power of a Tier Three… is still somewhat lacking in this world.

That’s why the Terra Kingdom had been sending out frequent pleas for aid recently, to the point that one had even reached Isaac. It was a clear sign of how desperate the situation had become. And to think, the [Boundless] Authority the Eldest Prince relied on was the very one he had stolen from Isaac’s older brother, Caesar…

This development invitation was, in effect, another cry for help. Isaac knew a little about that Tier Five Little World. It was currently the Terra Kingdom’s last remaining Little World resource point. If they could merge it into the Real World, it might help the Eldest Prince advance to Tier Five. At that time, with the power of [Boundless], he might even be able to wield the power of a Demigod!

It was a move that could bring them back from the dead!

Unfortunately, the Terra Kingdom’s enemies were well aware of this. That was why most of their soldiers were now concentrated there. They weren’t interested in who owned the Little World; they just needed to make sure it didn’t fall into the hands of the Terra Kingdom.

And after multiple pleas for aid went unanswered, the Terra Kingdom seemed to have changed its strategy. Instead of asking for help directly, it was now inviting powerhouses to join in the development of that Little World.

It had to be said, this was a very tempting offer.

Although the Terra Kingdom was weak now, a starved camel is still bigger than a horse. They still held a considerable advantage in that Little World. Participating would surely lead to a handsome reward.

Isaac was also very tempted, but…

The Eldest Prince was the one primarily in charge of developing that Little World. Accepting the invitation was tantamount to agreeing to help the Eldest Prince…

Looking at the word “Boundless” in the intelligence report, Isaac tapped his fingers lightly on the desk. After a long moment, he gave a disdainful laugh.

“Liu Li, prepare for battle!”
