Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 462 - 345: Prince Norns: Yikes, Can We Reconcile?
Chapter 462: Chapter 345: Prince Norns: Yikes, Can We Reconcile?
It was noon, and the scorching Sun hung high in the sky. A gleaming silver Demonic Puppet Legion stood in formation upon the plain. The Silver Knight, a longsword at his waist, stood at the very front of their ranks. Unlike the Demonic Puppets behind him, who were visibly excited, the Silver Knight’s crystal-clear eyes held a trace of resignation.
Yes, resignation.
Although this was their first time following Isaac into battle...
The Silver Knight knew they wouldn’t have a major role in this War. Isaac would be the one doing the fighting; they were just responsible for cleaning up the battlefield.
This news was like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing the fervent fire in the Silver Knight’s heart.
But as resigned as he was, there was nothing to be done about it. After all...
’Who could they blame? They really weren’t of much help in the upcoming battle.’
Of course, this didn’t mean their mission was a simple one. Although they couldn’t charge into the fray for Isaac, the Silver Knight had learned their true objective from Maxu Kant: a show of force!
If they performed well this time, the Demonic Puppet Legion would receive a major upgrade. Then, they would participate in the wars of the New World as a mercenary corps, earning a continuous stream of wealth for Isaac.
And, of course, they would gather intelligence on the New World while they were at it.
High in the sky before the Demonic Puppet Legion, Isaac stood within the Void, his white Wizard Robe fluttering in the wind. Liu Li, still in her black and white maid uniform, stood expressionlessly behind him. Perched on Isaac’s shoulder was Shushu, a creature with gray fur, which was hugging a Virtual Divinity and gnawing on it relentlessly.
Of course, it wasn’t actually eating it—a Virtual Divinity couldn’t be eaten. This was just Shushu’s method of studying the Death Divine Power contained within the Virtual Divinity.
Originally, Isaac had wanted Shushu to fuse with this Virtual Divinity to obtain Tier Four Power of Virtual Divinity and perform a top-down adjustment of its own power. Once Shushu’s own Divinity System advanced to Tier Four, he planned to give it other Virtual Divinities to switch to, broadening its Path of Divinity.
Or, if conditions permitted, they could go straight for a Tier Five Virtual Divinity!
To continue leapfrogging the competition!
In the end, however, Shushu rejected the proposal.
As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. After spending so long by Isaac’s side, Shushu’s mindset had long since skewed toward that of a Wizard. It had even developed a set of highly efficient, unique research methods based on its own characteristics as a Divine Species.
This was its current "Mouth Skill."
Through this gnawing action, the Divine Power contained within the Virtual Divinity was being unveiled to Shushu, layer by layer, before being integrated into its own Divinity Network.
The only drawback was that this method still couldn’t resolve the dilemma it faced as a Divine Species: insufficient Faith.
Deities aren’t heavily dependent on Faith. The Power of Faith isn’t essential for them to increase or recover their strength. However, the reason Deities so frequently wage War over Faith is because it’s an excellent catalyst. It can maximize a Deity’s power in the shortest possible time!
What’s more, this increase in power is permanent!
Unfortunately, none of this was accessible to Shushu—at least, not for now. If it wanted to grow stronger, it could only rely on slow and steady Cultivation.
Hearing the familiar crunching sound by his ear, which he hadn’t heard in some time, Isaac’s mood brightened. He gently raised his left hand. The Divine Spirit Book flipped rapidly through its pages, and the monstrous phantom of the Void Worm materialized behind him. Indistinct ripples of Space enveloped the entire Demonic Puppet Legion.
The next moment, the three-thousand-strong Demonic Puppet Legion and Isaac were simultaneously engulfed by the spatial ripples!
When they reappeared, they were already at the border of Prince Norns’s Domain!
A collective gasp of shock echoed among the hidden observers.
This act of Space Teleportation completely detonated the emotions of everyone secretly watching this "duel." Behind the scenes, every spectator shot up from their seats, eyes wide with utter disbelief. The temperature in the Real World even rose by several degrees.
It was because Isaac and his forces hadn’t used an ordinary Phase Space Teleportation. This was a Phase Space Teleportation personally cast by the Evil God, the Void Worm!
And at Tier Four strength, no less!
An Evil God personally intervening to help a Mad Witch was outrageous enough—it was simply unthinkable. What was even more shocking was that this Evil God had used Tier Four power!
One had to understand that Outer Gods were not like Wizard Knights. They had no Tier Three or Tier Four restrictions on their power. For an Outer God, using *any* power, no matter how great or small, was forbidden in the Real World!
Unless they paid a certain price.
And what were they seeing now?
An Evil God, just to help a Mad Witch in a fight, had directly deployed Tier Four Space-based power!
And it was just for fucking travel!
Did this make any sense?
Was this even the same kind of Outer God they knew?
The expressions of everyone watching this battle turned incredibly grave. In that instant, whether they were Tier Four or Tier Five, they all elevated Isaac’s standing in their minds yet again.
At the same time, a deep sense of wariness arose. After all, no one knew if the Isaac of today was still... Isaac.
Though rare, such things were not unheard of among Mad Witches. One should never underestimate the methods of an Evil God!
But the surprises Isaac had in store for them were far from over!
Meanwhile, after Isaac brought his forces to the border of Prince Norns’s Domain, the Demonic Puppet Legion scattered into streaks of light. Under the Silver Knight’s command, they split into six groups and began to encircle the Prince’s Domain from six different directions.
