Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through
Chapter 505 - 359: Reflection of the Rule, Bloodline Leap
On the western side of the Anoroya Continent, Magic Power was scarce, and Wizards were rarely seen.
In recent years, a Kingdom named "Latu" had risen rapidly, annexing over a dozen nearby kingdoms and ducal territories.
Just when everyone thought it would continue to expand, its conquest came to an abrupt halt two years ago.
Latour Marcus officially declared himself emperor, announcing the birth of the Latu Empire to the world. He also resumed normal diplomatic relations with neighboring powers, allowing them all to breathe a huge sigh of relief.
「Ten o’clock at night. The Imperial Palace of the Capital City.」
Latour Marcus, once a Count and now the founding emperor of the Empire, sat in his study. He held a secret report from a border outpost, his brow habitually furrowed in thought.
Several years had passed since his younger son, Ian, had left, and not a single word had come back from Shadow Moon Tower.
Latour knew the Wizard World was different from the mortal one; a few years might be nothing more than a fleeting moment there.
But as a father, his worries had never lessened.
He set down the secret report and rubbed his temples. Deep within his body, the Power of a Bloodline Mage flowed slowly.
The Limit-Breaking Edition of the [Rock Bear Potion] that Ian had left behind years ago had allowed him to step from the mortal world into the Extraordinary.
Over the years, he had long since grown familiar with and mastered this Power.
The defense, Power, and Endurance granted by the Rock Bear bloodline had made him invincible on the battlefield, and they were what allowed him to build this vast Empire.
"Ian..." A complex mix of emotions flickered in Latour’s eyes—pride, worry, and above all, a deep sense of longing.
He knew his son must be growing stronger somewhere, but to what extent? Latour couldn’t even begin to imagine.
Just as his thoughts began to drift, he suddenly froze in his chair.
An incomprehensible Power had just erupted from the depths of his bloodline!
The secret report slipped silently from his hand, drifting toward the floor, only to freeze in midair.
The lamplight on the study walls stopped flickering. Outside the window, the night wind ceased, and the leaves no longer swayed. The entire world seemed to have been put on pause.
Only Latour remained conscious, his heart pounding wildly in his chest.
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
Blood surged through his veins, accelerating faster and faster. On the surface of his skin, the faint brown markings of his Rock Bear bloodline began to change drastically.
The dark patterns, which resembled fissures in rock, rapidly faded and dissolved. In their place, new golden lines emerged, spreading from his heart out to his limbs.
"Argh!"
Every inch of his skin felt scalding hot. His bones emitted a fine, crackling sound. Something was awakening deep within his bloodline.
’This is...’ Latour tried to speak but couldn’t make a sound.
A wave of dizziness washed over him, and his consciousness was dragged to the very source of his bloodline.
There, a massive Demon Bear Illusion had once slumbered. This was the bloodline source-image granted to him by the [Rock Bear Potion].
But now, the Demon Bear Illusion was trembling. No, it was terrified.
It looked up into the depths of the Void, and Latour’s "gaze" followed its line of sight.
And then he saw it... a sun, slowly rotating at the far end of the endless Void.
Golden flames flowed across the sun’s surface. Each rotation warped the surrounding space-time.
Latour didn’t know what it was, but his bloodline instinctively told him.
This was a bloodline source... countless tiers higher than the Rock Bear bloodline he possessed!
’Ian...’ A thought suddenly flashed through Latour’s mind.
’Only he, only my younger son who has created countless miracles, could possibly reach such a level.’
In the next instant, the sun quivered gently.
A wisp of information, a strand of a Rule, crossed the endless Void, pierced through innumerable world barriers, and was imprinted precisely into the depths of Latour’s bloodline!
BOOM!
The oak chair beneath Latour silently turned to dust, vaporized by a terrifyingly high temperature.
He floated in midair, his bare torso now covered in golden lines that had fully formed into a Star Map.
At the center of his chest was a sun-like sigil, orbited by the illusions of three planets, with a faint ring of stardust farther out.
Latour slowly opened his eyes. Reflected in their depths were two slowly rotating solar illusions.
He looked down at his hands. A layer of crimson-gold luster flowed over their surface, somewhat resembling his previous magma-like skin, but far more powerful.
With a slight shift of his Intent, he gently clenched his fist.
BZZT! The space within a ten-meter radius around him distorted instantly.
The books on the shelves, the inkwell on the desk, the tapestry on the wall—every object simultaneously began to float.
Gravity... had vanished.
Latour understood instantly. He could now freely control the Gravity Field in this area, even bend the very lines of gravitational pull.
"Gravity Manipulation..." he murmured, his eyes trembling with irrepressible shock.
This wasn’t an ability from the Rock Bear bloodline. This was a completely new, High-Tier bloodline Power.
His Intent shifted again, and a ball of crimson-gold flame ignited silently in his palm.
Within the flame was a deeper form of Energy conversion. He could adjust its temperature with a thought, making it as warm as a spring day or hot enough to instantly melt refined iron into a molten state.
"Thermal Energy Control..." Latour’s breathing grew more rapid as he "looked" into the depths of his bloodline.
The Rock Bear Illusion had vanished completely, replaced by the brand of a miniature sun.
Five clear streams of information swirled around the brand.
Gravity Manipulation, Thermal Energy Control, Purification Light, Weak Time Control, and Magma Armor.
Five bloodline Talent Witchcrafts, each one touching upon the level of Rules.
What surprised Latour even more... was the earth-shattering transformation his very life essence had undergone.
