Chapter 695: Chapter 80: Attack from the Future

The tombstones had been toppled, the earth overturned, revealing layers upon layers of bones beneath.

However, a dozen or so Wizards in dark Magic Robes did not continue destroying the cemetery.

They formed a semicircle, facing the opening of the valley.

There, more than twenty Warriors from the Kronos plane were descending from the sky, the light radiating from them illuminating the valley as if it were day.

The Warrior at the forefront was powerfully built, his arms transformed into a pair of enormous eagle claws with tips that glinted with Dark Gold light. His body was covered in cyan scales, and his eyes were amber vertical pupils, burning with the flames of fury.

"So it was you, desecrating our graveyard? Don’t you people of the Wizard World have ancestors? Don’t you have anything you need to protect?"

A young Wizard watched the approaching Warriors, a contemptuous smile playing on his lips. "Ancestors? The ancestors of our Wizard World don’t lie in the dirt waiting to die. They’re alive and well. They’ve lived for thousands, tens of thousands of years, and they will continue to live on."

"Shut up!" another Warrior charged from the side, his body ablaze with a silvery-white light. His voice was thick with uncontrollable rage. "You destroyed our homes, killed our loved ones, and now you won’t even spare our ancestors—what is it you really want?"

The young Wizard scoffed. "What do we want? We want everything this world of yours has to offer. Your bloodlines, your land, your future. You think you can turn the tables with a bunch of withered bones that have been dead for thousands of years? Dream on."

"Then we’ll show you whether withered bones can turn the tables!"

The foremost Warrior swiped with both claws, sending two golden gashes tearing through the air, aimed straight for the young Wizard’s throat.

The other Warriors attacked at the same time.

Light Blades, Wind Blades, and flames surged toward the Wizards from all directions.

But the Wizards showed no signs of panic.

They worked in perfect concert, their roles clearly defined.

Some raised Shields, some cast curses, and some summoned creatures from the Otherworld to stop the Warriors.

However, this contingent of Warriors was stronger than any they had encountered before.

Their attacks were more ferocious, their speed greater, and their will more resolute.

A Wizard was struck by a Light Blade. A wound split open on his chest, so deep the bone was visible. Blood sprayed out as he collapsed to the ground.

Another Wizard was engulfed in flames, screaming as he writhed on the ground.

A third Wizard’s throat was torn open by a claw strike, and he collapsed without being able to make a sound.

"Retreat! Fall back!" the lead Wizard yelled, his voice laced with panic.

They began to fall back, but the Warriors were in hot pursuit, giving them no room to breathe.

The foremost Warrior lashed out with both claws, sending two intersecting golden gashes cutting toward the lead Wizard.

The lead Wizard barely managed to conjure a Shield, but it was as flimsy as paper before the attack, shattering in an instant.

The gashes sliced across his chest, leaving two intersecting wounds so deep that bone was visible.

He staggered back several paces, blood pouring from the wounds and soaking his Magic Robe.

The Warrior charged again, eagle claws raised high. "Go to the underworld—"

Then, a flash of deep purple light shot out from the void.

It struck the Warrior, obstructing his claw attack.

Although it couldn’t harm the Warrior, on the battlefield, the slightest deviation can be fatal.

The lead Wizard did not miss the opportunity. His right hand transformed into a dark-purple blade and plunged into the Warrior’s chest.

A toxin flowed from the blade, suppressing the Warrior’s regenerative abilities.

The Warrior’s eyes shot wide open. He looked down at the hand piercing his chest as blood gushed from his mouth. "You..."

And then, it was over.

Similar events were taking place not just in this valley, but across the past, present, and future of this entire span of spacetime.
