Chapter 329: Chapter 330: Realm of Wisdom
’Participating in the expedition, I only really got a few things from the Multi-Body World. Other than that, almost nothing.’
Andre took stock of the various items he had obtained since the expedition began.
He wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t taken stock, but now that he had, Andre was on the verge of tears.
It was because in the Cosmic Sea World, aside from the World Origin he carried, he had gained nothing else.
In contrast, he had reaped the most rewards from the Multi-Body World.
’Speaking of the Multi-Body World, when I was exploring the Underground Palace of the Multi-Body Race, I also got a few items from near the Wisdom Saint Spirit.’
With this thought, Andre took all the items out of his Storage Ring and laid them on the ground.
’Six items in total!’ Andre scratched his head as he looked at them.
At the time, he had been startled by the sudden revival of the Wisdom Saint Spirit, and he was also involved in the assault against the Multi-Body Race.
He hadn’t examined the items then. Later, he was sent to the Cosmic Sea World by Klein, and he had completely forgotten about them.
’Now, it’s time to sort through all my gains from the Multi-Body World.’
Andre sighed and picked up the six items on the ground one by one. The first was a suit of Battle Armor.
Andre looked at the Battle Armor and immediately began to channel his Divine Power into it.
As the Divine Power flowed in, the dust on the armor began to flake off. With each falling speck, rays of Golden Light burst forth from the Battle Armor.
Soon, all the dust had fallen away from the Battle Armor itself.
Just as the last of the dust was gone, Andre learned the Battle Armor’s name through his Divine Power.
This Battle Armor was called the Wisdom Battle Armor. It was a suit worn by the Life Saint Spirit during their lifetime and possessed the Ability to enhance thought and amplify the power of magic.
In addition, a Divine Technique Array Pattern was inscribed on it.
This was a defensive Divine Technique Array, and when intact, it could withstand twelve full-powered attacks from an expert of the same Level.
But now, this defensive Divine Technique Array Pattern was heavily damaged.
As a result, its defensive capabilities had dropped by a full Realm; it could now only block three attacks from Morning Star Creatures.
When Andre learned this, a glint of Golden Light flashed in his eyes.
This Battle Armor was perfect for him right now.
He had arrived in a completely unfamiliar Level 6 World, a world that held extreme malice toward outsiders like himself.
In such a situation, the more defensive measures he had, the better.
Andre looked at the Battle Armor and channeled a bit more Divine Power into it.
After confirming that he fully understood the Battle Armor’s functions, he set it aside.
Next, Andre picked up a sword. This sword was rather strange.
The blade was double-edged and slender, but what Andre found odd was that one of the edges was wavy.
The other side had a standard, straight edge.
’What kind of sword is this?’ Andre wondered, looking at the peculiar sword in his hand. He then began to channel his Divine Power into it.
Since he had used Divine Power to learn the Battle Armor’s name and functions, he could naturally do the same to learn about this sword.
After channeling his Divine Power for a good half hour, Andre finally learned about the sword.
The sword was named Realm of Wisdom. It was the Wisdom Saint Spirit’s most important weapon for close-quarters combat.
The reason the edges of the Realm of Wisdom were different was because of the two different Divine Arts inscribed on it.
The standard, straight edge was inscribed with the Wisdom Sublimation Divine Technique.
When this side of the blade wounded an enemy, the victim’s intellect would be enhanced, but at the same time, their mind and body would be trapped in a false wisdom simulated by Divine Power.
As for the wavy edge, the Divine Art inscribed on it was the Chaos and Loss of Wisdom Divine Skill.
The name of this Divine Art directly expressed its function.
Enemies wounded by this edge would, under the effect of this Divine Art, enter a state of dementia and chaos lasting anywhere from half an hour to several years, or even centuries.
In this state, the enemy would lose control of their own body.
Once they lost control, the enemies of the Wisdom Saint Spirit would naturally be killed with ease.
’Hiss... who would have thought a Wisdom Deity would inscribe two completely different wisdom-related Divine Arts on their sword?’
Looking at the Realm of Wisdom in his hand, Andre instantly understood why the Wisdom Saint Spirit had created such a Divine Sword.
On the surface, these two Divine Arts might not seem to have a huge effect on an enemy, but if one were truly struck by this sword, the suffering brought by "wisdom" would be infinite.
Because when the sword pierced an enemy’s body, they would experience two diametrically opposed Divine Arts.
The enemy would feel their intellect rapidly declining and, at the same time, feel it rapidly increasing.
In this process, the enemy would be completely unable to discern their true state.
At this point, some might ask: shouldn’t the enemy’s intellect be balanced in this state?
After all, one Divine Art enhances their intellect, while the other diminishes it.
This is where the center of the blade, the spine, comes in.
The spine in the center of the blade was the thickest part. Because of this, it too was inscribed with a Divine Art, one named "Counter-Balance."
The function of this Divine Art was simple: to break the balance.
Usually, this Divine Art was used in dangerous or special environments to alter unfavorable surroundings or terrain, turning the situation advantageous, or at worst, creating a 50/50 chance.
But when this Divine Art acted in concert with the other two, it would stage a symphony of intellectual chaos.
When the Realm of Wisdom pierced an enemy’s body, they would feel their intellect both rising and falling.
But just as the enemy thought the rising and falling intellect might reach an equilibrium, the Counter-Balance Divine Art would unleash its greatest effect.
The Counter-Balance Divine Art would cause the powers of the other two Divine Arts to shift.
At that point, unless the enemy could expel the power of this Divine Art from their body, the effects of the two other Divine Arts would reverse periodically, with the intervals growing shorter and shorter.
In this way, the enemy would be plunged into extreme chaos, unable to distinguish their own existence, nor tell illusion from reality.
According to the records within the sword, several enemies had been struck by the Realm of Wisdom and had instantly fallen into chaos.
In the end, due to the power of the two Divine Arts, the enemies’ minds became so utterly chaotic that they were reduced to drooling imbeciles.
The reason for this is that the essence of all three Divine Arts was Soul Divine Technique; they acted directly upon the opponent’s soul.
