Chapter 313: Chapter 314: Battle for the Tower Name

"I think I have a good idea of which path you’re walking."

The Dean sighed, looking at Andre with a grave expression.

"Read countless books, master countless arts, unify them as one, and erupt in a transcendent breakthrough!"

After he finished speaking, the Dean looked at Andre with a complicated expression.

Upon hearing the Dean, the captain’s expression also grew complex.

This path was very famous among the Wizards of the Wizard World.

But very few people ever completed it, because the sheer volume of knowledge, books, and Witchcraft one had to master was simply too great.

This knowledge is then used to form the bricks of the Ladder of Truth.

With every advancement in Realm, another layer of bricks is laid.

As their Realm continuously rises, each new layer requires fewer bricks, until the Wizard’s Ladder of Truth eventually takes the shape of a pyramid.

Therefore, this path is also known as the Pyramid.

The Pyramid path is one taken only by those with extraordinary powers of comprehension.

This is because the path places extremely high demands on both the individual and their mastery of knowledge.

As a result, many who start down this path are quickly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of knowledge required and give up.

Therefore, very few Wizards ever complete the Pyramid path.

But any Wizard who does complete the Pyramid path becomes exceptionally powerful.

They are versed in countless laws, arts, and spells. A casual wave of their hand can unleash a Witchcraft Torrent; a simple gesture can manifest a reflection of Truth.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of Wizards on this path spend their entire lives as Level 1 Wizards, dying without ever gathering enough knowledge and Truth to construct the second layer.

Thus, powerhouses on this path are exceedingly rare.

But anyone who manages to complete their pyramid becomes a renowned figure in the Wizard World.

For example, Andeta, the Tower Master of the Tower of Black Stone in the Wizard Ancestral Land, is a renowned top-tier expert who walks the Pyramid path.

Now, in the eyes of the Dean and the captain, Andre was a Wizard on the Pyramid path—and one who had already traveled far along it.

Otherwise, there was no way to explain Andre’s monstrous talent.

To accomplish so much in just thirty-seven years—is that something a human is capable of?

Even some powerful beings, after being reincarnated, could not easily achieve such feats.

Andre looked at the Dean and opened his mouth to speak, but ultimately swallowed his words.

’My path isn’t the one the Dean is talking about.’

’I walk the path of Chaos Truth. I use Chaos Magic Power to endlessly generate and evolve all of creation, only to then destroy it.’

’Generate, then destroy, over and over. I grow stronger through this cycle. It’s a world away from the path the Dean described.’

"If another Red Sun Great Wizard appears within the academy in the next 10,000 years, then under your leadership, the academy can return to the Wizard Ancestral Land and compete for a new Tower Name."

The Dean patted Andre’s shoulder, his face full of expectation as he looked at him and spoke.

"The competition for a Tower Name? What is that?"

Andre was a little confused. ’What does he mean?’

"Before you became a Morning Star Great Wizard, certain unique knowledge and information were sealed off from you."

The Dean looked at Andre and began to explain what the competition for a Tower Name entailed.

"As you know, the Wizard World is home to many Wizard organizations of various sizes."

"Some of these organizations are bound by master-disciple relationships, while others are bound by bloodline."

"Those connected by bloodline are typically called Wizard Clans, while those connected by master-disciple relationships are usually called academies."

"But not all academies are the same."

"They have their own distinctions."

"Generally speaking, only a Wizard organization that completely occupies a world can be called an academy, and the world in question must typically be at least a Level 3 world."

"Above that is the Main Institute. A Main Institute rules over a World Group, and only an academy that rules a World Group can be called a Main Institute."

"Because of this, a Main Institute often possesses rights that a regular academy does not."

"For example, launching large-scale expeditions, rather than just engaging in minor squabbles within a single World Group."

"Right now, the White Sea Wizard Academy is at the Main Institute stage."

"Additionally, there is another criterion to become a Main Institute."

"That is, it must have at least one Moonlight Level powerhouse and no fewer than five at the Morning Star Level."

"And currently, the White Sea Wizard Academy is a top-tier power among the Main Institutes, controlling three World Groups."

"The White Sea World Group is the largest of them; the other two are relatively small World Groups."

"Above the Main Institute is the highest tier of Wizard organization: the Wizard Tower."

"To become a Wizard Tower, in addition to having a Truth Great Wizard, one must also have the acknowledgment of the Wizard Civilization Will."

"Only when bestowed by the Wizard Civilization Will can an academy gain the ’Tower’ name."

"But becoming a Truth Great Wizard is nowhere near that easy. A new Truth Great Wizard only appears in the Wizard World every few tens of thousands of years, or even every hundred thousand years."

"This slow rate means that the number of Wizard Towers in the Wizard World is far too low."

"Therefore, to allow more Wizard Academies to become Wizard Towers and, in turn, promote the birth of new Truth Great Wizards, the original Truth Great Wizards devised a solution: the Tower Name Battle. Through this battle, an academy deemed worthy of a Tower’s name can receive the blessing of the Wizard Civilization Will."

"This blessing from the Wizard Civilization Will stimulates a Red Sun Great Wizard’s potential, allowing them to cross the threshold between the Red Sun Great Wizard and Truth Great Wizard realms."

"To date, the Tower Name Battle has been held over a hundred times."

"Across these hundred-plus battles, a quarter of the Red Sun Great Wizards who received the blessing of the Wizard Civilization Will successfully unlocked their potential, crossed the threshold, and became Truth Great Wizards."

"Even those Red Sun Great Wizards whose potential had stagnated, while they did not cross the threshold, still reached the absolute peak of the Red Sun Great Wizard realm."

"For this very reason, the Tower Name Battle is a grand event in the Wizard World that occurs once every ten thousand years."

"For an academy to participate in this grand event, in this competition for a Tower Name, they must meet one of two conditions:"

"either they possess their own Truth Great Wizard, or they have three Red Sun Great Wizards. Only then can they contend."

Thus, the Dean finished his explanation to Andre of what the Tower Name Battle entailed.
