Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 254 - 256: I, the Child of the World
Chapter 254: Chapter 256: I, the Child of the World
Andre, however, was unconcerned. He walked straight over, picked up a stone tablet, and touched the graffiti-like pictographs on its surface.
He immediately identified it as a Demon Pattern.
’Natural Demon Patterns. They use natural Demon Patterns as their script, for communication and to build their system of Power.’
In that instant, Andre understood why the path of integration within the Cosmic Sea World was so unique.
"Natural Demon Patterns? Is there something different about them?"
Angela looked at Andre, a flicker of confusion in her eyes. She didn’t quite understand what he meant.
Hearing Angela’s question, Andre took a deep breath, looked at her, and said,
"You must have read the book, *The Origin of Wizards*!"
Angela nodded upon hearing this.
That book was required reading for any new Wizard just starting on their path. No one was exempt.
"*The Origin of Wizards* describes in detail how the very first Wizards started on their journey."
"In the beginning, Wizards were no different from ordinary people. But there were always a few lucky, special ones."
"And those lucky few were the very first Wizards."
"By chance, they came into contact with natural Demon Patterns and discovered that these objects with their peculiar designs contained a special Power."
"This was the genesis of the first Wizards. They brought these Demon Patterns together to communicate with, analyze, and reassemble them."
"They exchanged knowledge with one another, step-by-step seeking to understand what Demon Patterns were, and what Truth was."
"Through this process, the Wizard script emerged, and the Wizard Civilization began to take shape."
"Later, due to issues with resources, the Wizards began their expeditions, bringing one Otherworld after another under the dominion of the Wizard Civilization Will."
"In the process, Wizards integrated the technology, knowledge, and legacies from these Otherworlds with the traditions and knowledge of the original Wizard Civilization."
"That is how it gradually evolved into the Wizard Civilization we are familiar with today."
As Andre spoke, Angela realized what he was implying.
"Are you saying that the civilization in this world could very well develop into a second Wizard Civilization?"
Her voice was trembling by the time she finished.
Andre nodded, a touch of astonishment on his face as well.
As far as he knew, the top civilizations in the Endless Star Realm generally had completely different development paths.
Yet now, a world that resembled the early Wizard Civilization had emerged, something Andre found hard to believe.
But now, it was real and right in front of him.
"Judging by the developmental history of the Wizard Civilization, it is indeed a possibility."
"Moreover, in the earliest days of the Wizard Civilization, those who fused with Magical Beast Bloodlines to gain Power were called Warlocks."
"The Cosmic Sea World is likely a world dominated by Warlocks."
"As for how they cause dead Magical Beasts to generate new Souls, that’s something we’ll only be able to find out after we’ve conquered this world."
"You need to report this matter to the Academy as soon as possible."
"If the civilization in this world is already beginning to develop along the same lines as the Wizard Civilization, then this world’s value will be beyond our imagination."
As he spoke, Andre infused his Chaos Magic Power into the pictographs on the stone tablet.
Instantly, by way of his Chaos Magic Power, he understood the meaning of this Demon Pattern.
"This is a natural Demon Pattern representing fire."
Andre put down the stone tablet and looked at Angela.
"I’ll report to the Academy right now."
Angela turned and left the storage room.
After Angela left, Andre’s eyes narrowed.
’If the first Expedition Squad failed to discover the true situation within the Cosmic Sea World because they were short-staffed...’
’...then how did the Second Expeditionary Corps miss it?’
’The implications were worth pondering.’
’But this wasn’t his business, and he couldn’t meddle in it anyway.’
’His Realm was too low. If he interfered rashly, he would be the first to be crushed.’
’Right now, the most important thing for him was to completely decipher the script of the Cosmic Sea World.’
’The sooner he deciphered it, the better it would be for him and for the Academy.’
"Now, to continue."
After deciphering the meaning of the first pictograph, Andre picked up the pace. He raised his right foot and stomped down hard.
With that one stomp, every artifact in the storage room inscribed with pictographs was jolted into the air.
Then, countless tendrils of gray mist billowed from Andre’s body, engulfing all the artifacts bearing the pictographs.
The artifacts then turned to ash, leaving only the pictographs themselves to glow and shimmer within the gray mist.
’Water, fire, earth, Wind...’
Andre closed his eyes, continuously discerning which of these symbols were Demon Runes and which were ordinary characters.
To decipher this world’s script, his first step was to separate the natural Demon Patterns and Original Demon Patterns from the rest of the pictographs.
Then, by observing the position of these natural Demon Patterns within short sentences and their relation to the surrounding characters, he could deduce the meaning of the rest of the script.
Doing this would allow him to decipher the script at a drastically faster rate!
Just as Andre began to decipher the world’s script, deep within the Cosmic Sea World, a space hidden behind layers of spacetime barriers suddenly flickered.
This was the World Origin Space of the Cosmic Sea World.
At this moment, the World Consciousness of the Cosmic Sea World sensed that something had appeared within its domain—something that was very good for It, and for the Cosmic Sea World.
Upon sensing this, the World Consciousness began to search for this thing within the Cosmic Sea World.
Soon, the World Consciousness detected that this thing had appeared near the battlefield.
However, because the Expedition Base was shielded by a Witchcraft Array and Andre hadn’t excessively released his Chaos Magic Power, the World Consciousness initially struggled to pinpoint his location.
But the battlefield wasn’t that large, and soon, by methodically searching, the World Consciousness found Andre’s location.
Then, a vast and heavy consciousness descended upon the Expedition Base where Andre was located.
At that moment, Angela was just about to contact the War Mother Ship, but as the World Consciousness descended, every living being in the Expedition Base froze in place.
Only Andre could still move.
Then, Andre’s body dissolved into a gray mist and was drawn by the World Consciousness into the World Origin Space.
