Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero
Chapter 506 - 494: True Cyber Ascension
Chapter 506: Chapter 494: True Cyber Ascension
Allen withdrew his senses and opened his eyes.
The inside of the engine nozzle was cramped and dim. The corroded metal walls reflected the faint blue light in his pupils.
Morning Star-level Spiritual Power and Magic Power surged through his body like a great river released from its dam. The immense force placed an unprecedented strain on every blood vessel in this body of flesh and blood.
He raised his hand and looked at his palm, where the veins were faintly visible beneath the skin.
From a Prince of the Mortal World, to a "Guardian" of the Aiselan Plane, and now a fugitive who had been hiding in the ruins for more than two years.
He knew its limits better than anyone.
An ordinary body of flesh and blood, with no bloodline enhancements or mechanical modifications.
A Morning Star Wizard from the Bloodline School could destroy a continent with their bare hands right now.
But him? He couldn’t even crush the armor of a Peacekeeper, let alone leave this place.
Right now, his Morning Star-level Spiritual Power was like an unparalleled Divine Weapon stuck in a scabbard made of mud.
This was the way of the Alchemy school, which relied on external objects for power. It was the path he had chosen, and he had to see it through, even if it brought him to tears.
"Whatever."
Allen stood up, his gaze calm.
’There’s no point in dwelling on it. I’ve never been a Wizard who relies on physical strength.’
Golems were his true strength.
And now, the strongest body was right there for the taking.
In his new state of perception, Gabriel, trapped by the logic virus, was like a computer hijacked by malware—the hardware was intact, only the operating system had been replaced.
’All I have to do is switch it back.’
Allen crouched down and touched his fingers to the ground.
His Spiritual Power became a carving knife, rapidly inscribing Runes on the surrounding metal walls.
Protective arrays, cryogenic arrays, Spatial Anchoring arrays... He layered one after another, transforming the cramped space into a temporary "hibernation chamber."
’Maybe I’ll have a chance to retrieve it later.’
After finishing all this, he sat down cross-legged, feeling the weight of this body for the last time.
The sound of his breathing, his heartbeat, the flow of his blood.
It was all so familiar.
"You’ve completed your mission," he said in a low voice, as if saying goodbye to an old friend. "Rest for now."
Allen closed his eyes. Deep within his soul, the Skill model for [Consciousness Upload] activated.
The separation began.
The feeling was hard to describe. It was as if an invisible hand was gently lifting "him" out of his physical vessel.
There was no pain, no tearing sensation, only a few seconds of... weightlessness.
His five physical senses vanished.
His dimension of perception underwent a fundamental leap.
In its place was a whole new perspective, one that existed purely as a state of information.
He "saw" himself.
A cross-legged husk, its vital signs stable, its chest rising and falling faintly.
The light of the Rune Arrays enveloped it, like a specimen slumbering in amber.
’Good. Preservation complete.’
Freed from its physical restraints, Allen’s consciousness transformed into a vast stream of information and rushed out into the expansive metal wasteland.
Those treacherous Golems that had been hunting him for two years—
They now appeared as red nodes flickering in the dark, each one crudely linked together by logic chains that converged on a massive signal source in the distance.
Allen’s consciousness swept over their heads, traveling at the speed of light through metal canyons, past the wreckage of shattered warships, and across hundreds of kilometers of scrap-metal wasteland.
Not a single Golem noticed him.
A distance of nearly a thousand kilometers was but an instant for a being of pure consciousness.
The Teleportation Star Gate appeared in his perception. The semi-circular structure stood silently, its Magic Power supply long since severed.
And on either side of the Star Gate, three powerful Golems stood guard like loyal sentinels.
Two ancient war machines he had never seen before, and... Gabriel.
Its matte-white porcelain armor gleamed with a cold light under the ambient radiation. Eight radiant wings were folded behind its back, and a steady, crimson glow flickered within its helmet.
Allen’s consciousness, an invisible torrent, poured directly into Gabriel’s Control Core.
In an instant, the world changed again.
His "vision" suddenly narrowed, plummeting from a vast starry sky into a microcosm composed of Runes and chains of code.
This was Gabriel’s "inner world"—the virtual space of the Control Core.
Red logic chains spread out like a spiderweb, and a "will" of pure order sensed the intruder’s presence.
Countless chains of red code tightened simultaneously, attempting to crush, disassemble, and assimilate Allen’s consciousness.
That was the logic virus from the Mechanical Realm, the "pseudo-control program" that had usurped his entire legion!
There was no cannon fire on this battlefield, only a confrontation of principles.
On one side was an endless, uniform torrent of red code, forming perfect geometric patterns and radiating the absolute logic of "Obey," "Execute," and "Eradicate."
On the other was Allen’s soul: a far vaster sea of light, glittering with a billion different colors, full of the chaos, contradiction, and yet vibrant vitality of "humanity."
And at the core of this sea of light, a faint yet eternally resilient golden thread unified and pierced through it all.
It was the brand of the [Soul Law]!
If this had been two years ago, or even before his promotion, he would have stood no chance.
But now, his serendipitous brush with the Soul Law had epically enhanced both the [Consciousness Upload] Witchcraft and the strength of his soul.
The will of the red code was pure and powerful. It tried to format Allen’s soul with its absolute order.
Unfortunately for it, it failed.
It was like a calculator that only knew "1+1=2" suddenly encountering a calculus problem.
The moment it tried to parse concepts like "love," "hate," and "hope" within Allen’s soul, an unfixable "BUG" appeared in its fundamental logic.
Humanity was its natural enemy!
The logic virus’s defensive structure was stripped away layer by layer. The cold "will of order" emitted one last, meaningless pulse of resistance, then fell completely silent.
Allen’s consciousness filled the entire Control Core, formatting, clearing, and rewriting all the corrupted command sets.
He used his own soul as the new "operating system" for this creation.
Outside.
Beside the Teleportation Star Gate, the "Divine Statue: Eight-winged Angel, Gabriel," which had stood motionless for half a year, moved without any warning.
The crimson light within its helmet receded like an ebbing tide, replaced by a deep, tranquil milky white.
Gabriel slowly raised its head.
The eight radiant wings behind its back spread slightly, then folded again, like a long-slumbering giant stretching its limbs.
The feedback of power from its Secret Silver Tungsten Steel frame was something his mortal body could never hope to match.
Beneath every plate of matte-white porcelain armor, immense Magic Power flowed.
’This is the weapon of war I designed with my own hands.’
Right now, it was him.
Gabriel raised its right hand, slowly clenching its five fingers into a fist, then opening them again.
The movement was fluid, without any delay.
’The compatibility between my soul and this creation is far beyond my expectations.’
Allen turned around.
The two ancient war machines remained in their alert stance but showed no reaction to him.
A Peacekeeper PX-3 walked by nearby. Its patrol route happened to pass through the Star Gate area, and its red optical sensor lingered on Gabriel for a second.
Scan.
Compare.
Assessment: Friendly unit. Status normal.
It averted its gaze without any reaction and continued to execute its patrol command.
’Huh?’
’It actually didn’t detect me?’
