Chapter 1905: Cap 1901: Purgatory Titan
Chapter 1905: Cap 1901: Purgatory Titan
Before me stood a Demonic Colossus that resembled a vivid image of how Demons are portrayed: goat-like legs, large horns, red skin, a grotesque face—everything about it was Demonic, with an Aura seemingly destined to corrupt everything it touched.
“< Magic of Anomalous Origin: Ray of Two Damnations >” (Davoth)
That thing was already heading our way; in fact, I could see its attention was focused on me, and I couldn’t understand why.
Before it could get close, a stream of power from Davoth to his Demonic Creature gathered the two Anomalous powers into two spheres of condensed power before joining the two together, which circled around each other, releasing a vast amount of energy that was also split in two, intertwining as it traveled in a straight line toward the enemy.
“I’m of the same inclination as him, my power is heavily geared towards the Demonic side, I can’t go against him without possessing a True Concept.” (Davoth)
“Then let’s reverse the roles from before, let me take care of him while you support me.” (me)
“You don’t understand, he can’t be killed or destroyed, he’s literally like an incarnate Essence of Hell, the representation of the Demonic Concept. The only reason he hasn’t become an Entity is that he doesn’t possess an Existential Spark!” (Davoth)
“Then let’s seal…” (me)
Before I could do anything, that creature advanced against the flow of lightning Davoth launched at him. In his hands were the two greatswords I saw earlier, they seemed made of bone and emitted an extremely Demonic sensation, a murderous intent that seemed fused into his structure the more he swung them, thus cutting through the lightning being launched at him.
“(Demonic… then I just need something pure, I have the perfect power for it…)” (me)
“< Divine Eclipse Magic: Heavenly Judgment >” (me)
The power that has always been the enemy of Demons has always been sacred power, the power created from faith. If Demonic power comes from malice and accumulated negative thoughts, then sacred power is the opposite, being an accumulation of positive emotions and the sincerity of people’s will.
As a true God, a Primordial God who created a universe, I have it in abundance; even Divine power is merely the fusion of this sacred power being refined by my Divinity.
With 6 other Divinities fused with me and sharing the same Energy Cycle, I can refine this sacred energy 7 times in total, a Divine power purer than anything I can achieve.
Even though half of my Divine Beasts are Demonic, the core of my Chaos power has always been transformation, so I can transform this Demonic power into holy power before fusing it into pure Divine power.
The sword forming above my head was entirely white, its downward-facing blade like the condensation of pure white sunlight. Its hilt was a golden dragon statue, its handguard like golden wings. Seven streams of energy traveled around the sword like seven ethereal streaks.
The sword formed in less than three seconds before being pointed at that large Demon. Its speed even surprised me when it slashed at him, who glared at the sword angrily.
“(The desecration of the Demonic into the Sacred…)” (me)
Stain the sacred until it degrades into the Demonic, purify the Demonic until it rises as sacred. The Chaos transformation cycle can do such a thing with ease. This was the path of heaven and hell, a path that only I, with the power of Chaos, can create.
“DODGE!!!” (Davoth)
“Huh!?” (me)
Without doubting Davoth’s words, I darted to the left, flapping my wings at top speed. I didn’t hesitate for a second and prayed I had chosen the right direction. Even so, I received a grazing attack that deeply incised my shoulder, shattering the scales as if they were made of ice.
That thing threw one of its greatswords as if it were nothing, at an absurd speed. Immediately after dodging, it sent another sword at me, the same sword I’d used to attack it. It used its second sword to clash against my attack, sending it back at me.
“Do you really think you can hurt me with something made of my power?” (me)
“< Obey >” (me)
The sword became eternal before passing through my body like a light spring breeze, then floated beside me. The sword was still in perfect condition, but it was clear it couldn’t reach that Demon’s body.
“Don’t underestimate him, he’s not like the Envoy of Callidora.” (Davoth)
“I know…” (me)
The Envoy of Callidora sought death, he wanted it. His fight was merely fulfilling his duty, and even then, there was a strong intention to die in the openings he left.
“< Blessing >” (me)
I grow my body to tens of kilometers tall as my weapons absorb the sacred sword I created. The sword and dagger shine brighter than before, the power they contain multiplying as a rune forms on each weapon, one in the shape of a golden sun and the other in the shape of fragments of a white moon.
“< Magic of Anomalous Origin: Demonic Imprisonment and Double Seal >” (Davoth)
“Now, Zenos!” (Davoth)
“< 3rd Star Sword Art: Dragon of the End >” (me)
Davoth used his own blood to create multiple magic circles that merge into a spear in his hands while his summoned Demonic Creature drew from his chest what appeared to be a Halberd bearing the same markings as the spear created by Davoth. The two moved simultaneously, striking the tips of their weapons against a nonexistent ground, causing space to shatter. The power of my surroundings was drawn in as endless chains appeared, coiling around the enemy. I stared at the chains laughing, my muscles swelling as the chains began to crack, ready to free him.
Among all my sword arts, this was the most difficult to bear. A power made solely for the destruction and eradication of all things, a power that exists for the sole purpose of annihilation. This is not a power that can be controlled, this is a power that more closely resembles that wielded by the Creatures of the Abyss, yet it was still one of my strongest strikes.
My power, like that of all my Divine Beasts, flows into the two blades, tinged with darkness. But soon, golden cracks appear, pulsing like veins, the sacred and Divine power pulsing along with these cracks, which open to reveal several eyes containing the Will of destruction.
With a slow swing of the sword and dagger, I let this darkness covered in cracks leak out like paint, painting the space in an X-shaped cut. All those cracks begin to pulse much faster, causing the surrounding space to crack even more as the X opens.
The chains binding the creature emanated flames that caused no harm to it. Cracks covered the entire chain in a matter of seconds. The bone broadswords formed once more in its hands as it swung them ferociously, not looking at Davoth. Its eyes focused on me with a horrific intent.
GGGGGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Darkness poured out of the X like a fountain, all at once, and took the form of a black dragon covered in golden armor. Its five pairs of wings were made of terrifying golden eyes. Its head was nothing more than a large jaw filled with fragmented teeth. Its body appeared coated in fresh blood, while its two arms were covered in golden scars, as was its battle-scarred armor. It had no legs, while a tail of pure darkness swung, leaving a trail of black mist with golden lightning bolts.
This Dragon was 5 times larger than my current body, its appearance was that of a beast of annihilation while its Divine and Sacred presence does not match its horrific appearance.
It was at this moment that the Great Demon broke free, breaking his chains, causing Davoth to spit blood.
He then launched himself at the hideous Dragon, smiling, dodging the first strike of its claws and using his swords to create two deep cuts on the creature. The cuts closed as they were made, leaving only two more golden scars on its body. It soon gave its large jaws the opportunity to close on the Demon’s shoulder while ten golden rays shot out from the eyes that formed its wings, burning the Demon all over its body.
“AAAAHHHHH!!!” (Titan of Purgatory)
“< Purgatory Dual Sword Technique: Soul Ripper >” (Titan of Purgatory)
His swords seem to come to life, the bone blades shattering into a serrated shape that ignites in flames that seem to contain burning souls. He then swings his swords at the Dragon, who responds with his claws. The space around him shatters completely, causing even the Infernal terrain to collapse in this area, causing chains to appear, tying themselves to the gravely injured Demon as he is pulled into a portal similar to the one that brought him here.
“It seems I went too far destroying the limiter… HAHAHAHAHA…” (Purgatory Titan)
“We’ll see each other again, Bringer of Chaos… we’ll see each other again soon…” (Purgatory Titan)
“…” (me)
As he disappeared, being dragged into the portal, the Dragon’s pieces were sucked into the X, which shattered into nothingness shortly after. My body was also covered in cuts and fractures, my power waning greatly, but my mind was still trying to understand what had just happened.
