Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1807 - 1061: This Is Sain! (Part 2)
The current facts prove Onora’s actions were correct, monopolizing intelligence until now, the Dungeon of Sain appeared in the Demon Clan’s territory, and furthermore, this [Unconsolidated Gathering Place] even contains parts of various regions here.
It’s as if she naturally gained an advantage in intelligence!
She has already begun to admire her own decision-making ability.
Onora gracefully walked onto the ground, looking back at the center of the gathering place, where a massive bonfire emitted its light, visible even from afar.
This was her first time witnessing the legendary bonfire.
Every Demon Clan spy that entered the Sain Dungeon complained about its various configurations but unanimously praised the existence of the bonfire, calling it the greatest creation in this world.
No one would give the bonfire a bad review, not even the most vicious demons.
Onora stared at the bonfire for a while, as if she uncovered some deeper intricacies, smiled, and shook her head.
"It truly is the trusted fire of hope by people."
Heading first to the Great Safety Zone to touch the bonfire and anchor a resurrection point is indeed a great way to save one’s life, but that’s the mindset of a coward.
Onora severed her forearm and tossed it skyward, with her arm turning into dozens of streams of light, flying away.
As long as one of these chunks of meat from her arm remains, she can rely on it to resurrect.
I do not need a bonfire that contradicts the nature of the Abyss! Onora intended to prove this concept.
Despite the warm flames appearing incredibly enticing.
Her goal was quite clear, after listening to Chrono’s report, she decided to head to Fran Fort, the place she knew as the quickest way to access the Abyss.
Thinking of this, Onora excitedly embarked on the path to Fran Fort, the scenery there was quite iconic, even if she couldn’t find it, the contrast between the Outer Wall Snowfield and the Chaos Ruins of Izalis was striking enough for her to immediately lock onto Fran Fort’s direction.
"It would be wonderful if I could see Ulashiro."
What she desired most was to see the real Ulashiro, who possessed the power of the Master of the Abyss.
However, hearing that different eras converged in this gathering place, perhaps in the future she might indeed encounter Ulashiro. She had heard that the Dungeon of Sain was a place that fulfilled people’s dreams.
Soon after, Onora arrived at the outskirts of Fran Fort.
Looking at the grey, wilted trees before her and smelling the foul, dirty swamp, Onora intoxicatedly spread her arms slightly.
Yes, this is where the Abyss resides!
Even standing on the outermost edge, she could scent the fragrant aroma of the Abyss, as if enticing her to move forward....
"This is the place."
Onora’s entire body extruded Black Mud, covering herself in a layer of armor, instantly transforming into an iron can, seemingly enhancing her combat capability to an epic level.
She couldn’t wait to enter Fran Fort, following the scent of the Abyss deeper within.
Finally, she could finally touch the true Abyss.
No longer having to use that imitation of hers!
With Onora’s emotions intensifying, the Black Mud armor covering her began to writhe and bubble, barely maintaining its form.
As the Abyss’s number one fan, Onora invented a replica Abyss better suited for the Demon Clan babies.
Since she found and yet could not obtain the Abyss, the idea was already born, but it was countless times later that the replica Abyss came to fruition, with hardships only she knew.
Onora’s self-created replica Abyss was combined through numerous ancient magic spells and clever ideas, eventually resulting in the creation of Black Mud.
Black Mud possesses the capabilities to corrode objects, corrode minds, and change forms, which she believed the Abyss ought to have, a fusion of numerous magic spells, with its essence still being a form of magic.
Combining these capabilities while maintaining stability posed a considerable challenge even for the professors of the Magic Association, and despite her profound faith in the Abyss, she couldn’t invent a brand-new magic from nothing.
Unable to produce results for a period, able only to merge two or three abilities, failing to achieve the current capabilities of Black Mud, she felt hopeless as if life lost its prospect, gazing at the sky in melancholy.
Perhaps it was fortune’s favor, on one ordinary day, a solution she had never imagined suddenly occurred to her, ultimately leading to the creation of the replica Abyss.
Through constant improvement and refinement, Black Mud, as they knew it, was formed.
Onora didn’t know why she suddenly understood on that day, after thinking about it, she attributed it to her brain subconsciously auto-solving the puzzle.
Isn’t there a popular notion that even if you are not actively thinking about a problem, just glancing at it, your brain reckons an answer subconsciously, most evident when you glance at the last questions during an exam before starting with the first question.
Onora considers her created Black Mud as a treasure, but now things have changed, as the true Abyss stands right before her.
Who would still use this imitation product!
The Gollum along the path barely had time to launch an attack on her or even realize her presence when they were pierced and torn apart by Black Mud transformed into tentacles, never encountering an attack in the traditional sense.
Sounds of intense combat came from not far away, and Onora understood what was happening ahead, able to hear her gradually accelerated heartbeat.
"Right here!"
Onora abruptly cleared the obstructing branches in front of her and focused on the battle between Fran Undead Team and Soul-sucking Ghost, her gaze surpassing the essence of the battle to settle on the ground.
The Abyss beneath the Soul-sucking Ghost emitted a frigid aura.
For her, it was undoubtedly tempting.
Onora could no longer conceal her inner enthusiasm, transforming into a swift shadow and darting out of the forest.
The Fran Undead Team and Soul-sucking Ghost were engaged in heated battle and hardly noticed her dashing through, merely sensing a sudden gust.
Immediately, a heavy impact echoed through the Abyss, followed by the bubbling sound of "gollum gollum".
What sound is that?
The Fran Undead Team and Soul-sucking Ghost paused their actions and turned to look.
On the ground lay a small river of bubbling Abyss.
The next second, Onora sprang forth, "poof", breaking through the Abyss to stand upright.
Soul-sucking Ghost unveiled a look of "where did this woman come from".
"Hahaha, hahahahahaha!"
Despite the Abyss’ sludge clinging to her body, Onora covered her eyes and laughed loudly, never having laughed so freely and wildly before.
It was as though she released all the pent-up emotions from over the years at once, laughing mindlessly and arrogantly.
"This is, hahaha, this is the power of the Abyss, I finally felt it!"
"It hurts! This is the pain I imagined!"
"How wonderful, how utterly wonderful!"
The Abyss clinging to her form suddenly vanished, falling back to the ground?
No, she absorbed it into her body!
Unlike Chrono’s passive erosion by the Abyss, she actively manipulated her body to ingest the Abyss clung to her!
It was the fusion with the Abyss she dreamed of during countless nights!
Soul-sucking Ghost felt offended and ceased the fight with Fran Undead Team, turning towards Onora.
But the next instant, it stopped, replaced by the Fran Undead Team showing hostility towards Onora.
For in their eyes.
Onora had already joined the Abyss’s camp.
