Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 1800 - 1058: The Mystery of Corruption

  • Next Chapter

Crimson Corruption, originating from Valkyrie Melenia’s bio-weapon.

The most famous incident was when Melenia used herself as a dirty bomb, obliterating the Shattered Star General, which ultimately led to corruption spreading across Galide, turning it into a wasteland.

Originating from the Corruption Goddess, they can infect all creatures and even attach themselves to non-living things, covering everything in corruption as they pass, leaving behind fields of white fungi and crimson derivatives.

Creatures infected by Crimson Corruption are tormented into madness and rage, but most of them die from the corruption before reaching the stage of losing sanity.

Only creatures like the Flying Dragon, and those stronger, can temporarily withstand the corrosion of corruption and even use it in attacks, but in the long run, being infected by Crimson Corruption is more harm than benefit.

It can be said that Crimson Corruption is quite a dangerous bio-weapon.

For Sain Dungeon, Crimson Corruption stands alongside Abyssal Madness Fire as major weapons used to quickly eliminate dungeons during combat, leaving no dungeon unscathed.

Simultaneously, the combination of Abyssal Madness Fire, Crimson Corruption, and Bloodborne’s Frenzy are secret potions Sain Dungeon uses against specific adversaries.

For example, the currently whereabouts-unknown Mr. Hidden Dull Star.

After several attempts, Gong Qiying concluded that these brothers indeed have an impact on Hidden Dull Star; did you not see when the Mad Fire God Sect erupted, the Hidden Dull Star occupying Viskasa’s body immediately left the keyboard with both hands?

The last confrontation with the Evil God involved using Mansis’ brain frenzy to explode the opponent’s avatar, which likely shook its true form.

Previously, Abyssal Madness Fire and friends took down Eliphas and simultaneously affected the final arrival of the Evil God.

All three attempts were effective, proving these measures as Sain Dungeon’s special tactics against Hidden Dull Star.

Thus, when Gong Qiying strategizes for the eventual final battle with Hidden Dull Star, his plan is to use all of Sain Dungeon’s trump cards at once, delivering a grand blow to directly eliminate the Evil God’s chance to continue acting out.

However, with Hidden Dull Star infiltrating the Demon Continent leaving no information behind, Gong Qiying gradually doubts his plan.

He feels uncertain because the Evil God isn’t foolish; the opponent surely anticipates what tactics he will employ.

So, Hidden Dull Star must be searching for ways to counter Sain Dungeon.

To be more direct, the opponent is surely finding ways to become immune to the effects of Abyssal Madness Fire and so on.

But how could that be achieved? Gong Qiying cannot think of any conventional means to achieve such things.

Just as the Evil God is unfamiliar with Sain Dungeon, Gong Qiying also knows little about the Evil God, even after scouring through records across various Kingdoms rarely finding notes connected to the Evil God, sometimes even mistakenly relating to other Evil Gods.

What if Hidden Dull Star secretly has some ultimate skill not yet unveiled? Although it doesn’t seem so based on recent behaviors.

But now the Evil God is different from before.

As he has acquired physical form, returning to the not-so-loyal Demon Continent in the identity of the Demon King.

The Demon King’s trait is automatically acquiring powers from previous Demon Kings.

Therefore, who knows how many generations of Demon King capabilities are amassed within Hidden Dull Star, combined with the peculiar knowledge accumulated as an Evil God.

Can you really play around with such things?

The fact the opponent remains dormant for so long already feels quite unsettling.

Definitely scheming in secret!

Recently, Gong Qiying discovered the most bizarre aspect on the Demon Continent.

"I have never released Crimson Corruption."

Gong Qiying gazed at the map marked as corruption-occupied territory, slightly furrowing his brows momentarily.

Even with Abyssal Madness Fire and Deep Abyss unleashed to the outside world, never considered sending out Crimson Corruption; it has remained obediently in Galide till now.

The reason for not releasing Crimson Corruption to the Demon Continent isn’t that its destructive power is inferior to the others, but in terms of mind control, Crimson Corruption is lacking.

Even if Crimson Corruption is worshipped by Corruption Favored, aside from them, infected creatures do not inherently turn to worship corruption.

This force is weaker in controlling others’ minds; conversely, Abyssal Madness and Mad Fire truly have a brainwashing effect, proving quite useful.

Additionally, Gong Qiying actually finds the scenery after Crimson Corruption spreads mildly unnerving, so he hasn’t utilized Crimson Corruption nor left options for anyone to take it out of Sain Dungeon.

If such is the case in the Eastern Continent, with it yet to appear in Galide, how could corruption spread across the Demon Continent where Crimson Corruption doesn’t even exist?

This series of events is indeed bizarre.

Mad Fire emerged in Gong Qiying’s hand, as he closed his eyes.

Subsequently, his eyes opened within the gaze of a demon a thousand miles away.
