Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 1794 - 1055: Irresistibly Delicious

Chrono commanded his demon soldiers to employ the Demon Clan’s favorite battle tactic against the Soul-sucking Ghosts.

Charge!

He led the charge, followed by the demon clan warriors who were tall and fierce like giants, their running caused the ground to tremble violently.

If it were on a large battlefield, thousands of charging demon clan warriors would become an unforgettable sight for the enemy.

Chrono unfurled his bat-like black wings behind him, surrounded by scarlet light, his fingers quickly became sharp, and fangs appeared in his mouth, making his already sinister appearance even more aggressive—this was his incomplete transformation form.

As a descendant of the Demon King in history, and amongst the descendants, he experienced a sudden regression to ancestral bloodline with increased concentration, the abilities he inherited from his ancestors were super-speed regeneration and, even more crucial for survival, undying!

Along with a significant boost in base stats.

His bat wings and scarlet glow, along with a series of bodily changes, were because his parents consumed only powerful bat-type monsters while conceiving him. Even without the bloodline enhancement of the Demon King, he could easily be rated as a formidable C-level warrior by the Sain Dungeon.

Meanwhile, the Soul-sucking Ghosts, even at their peak strength within the Sain Dungeon, were only rated as C-level.

Thus, when Chrono charged forward, the Soul-sucking Ghost blocking his way was immediately sent flying, four or five Soul-sucking Ghosts simultaneously pounced on him for a skirmish.

"Dogs of the Abyss."

Chrono spat out blood-turned-breath, which in an instant surged forth like a river of blood, sweeping the Soul-sucking Ghosts in front of him far into the distance.

"Die!"

With a gesture, the river of blood exploded, turning into a cluster of blood projectiles, causing the dense crimson to cover hundreds of meters around him, preventing any enemy from getting close.

The Soul-sucking Ghosts were not weak enough to be instantly killed by such a large-scale attack; those hit had their armor shattered but were still able to act. Some swung their Dark Sword to cut through the concentrated blood projectiles in front of them, and the other Soul-sucking Ghosts followed suit, breaking through the blood blockade, rushing towards him, as the Dark Hand shone red towards Chrono.

"Snap!"

At this moment, Chrono snapped his fingers.

The area covered by blood suddenly gleamed with dazzling jewel-like colors.

The Soul-sucking Ghost that had closed in on him, readying the Dark Hand, suddenly couldn’t move, as if someone pressed a pause button.

His body was enclosed by ruby-like crystal, immobilizing him!

The ground beneath him was covered in red crystal, and the surrounding Soul-sucking Ghosts were somewhat affected by this crystal, naturally hindering their movement.

This was the result of Chrono instantly crystallizing the sprayed blood!

A flash of red light, and he twisted the Soul-sucking Ghosts’ head off.

He raised the head, intending to taste the enemy’s blood, but the corpse turned to dust, leaving him with a mouthful of ash.

"Hiss!"

The sound of flesh being pierced rang out, as four Soul-sucking Ghosts violently broke through the blood crystal barrier, all stabbing their weapons into the demon clan fighter’s defenseless body.

"Cough, cough, choked, how did it suddenly turn to ash?"

Chrono couldn’t help but cough twice, and while he coughed, the Soul-sucking Ghosts had already extracted their Dark Swords and were hacking at him, more enemies surged forward, burying him in an instant.

From afar, it looked like a sphere wrapped by ants.

Until a Soul-sucking Ghost used the Dark Hand, aiming for his forehead, he finally responded to the enemy’s attacks.

"Boom!"

He detonated.

His robust body instantly exploded into a blood mist, the shockwave of the explosion blasted the surrounding Soul-sucking Ghosts away; those closest had their armor shattered, and the blood and flesh on them transformed into sharp crystals, piercing them viciously.

The blood mist from the explosion floated a few dozen meters away, reassembling into Chrono in a visible amount of time, taking less than ten seconds.

After resurrection, he exaggeratedly stretched his limbs, seeming as if he was just getting serious.

Was I too ostentatious?

Chrono pondered over his flashy moves, which he could perform but required effort, especially the self-destruct and resurrection.

Normally, he wouldn’t resort to this unless faced with a life-threatening crisis.

But today is different from usual, as he might be in the suspected occupation area of Sain Dungeon.

Lacking inner security, he decided to showcase stronger powers, like wild animals exhibiting self-defense when encountering Hunters, such as a suddenly inflated pufferfish.

He once again spat out a lethal amount of blood to ordinary people, skillfully controlling the blood for large-scale attacks across the battlefield. Even if the damage was weak due to thinning over a broad range, it was enough to keep the Soul-sucking Ghosts at bay.

Chrono’s skill set was inherently suited for mass battles.

And then he suddenly remembered something, turning his head back to look in the direction he had come from.
