White Dragon Lord

Chapter 452: The Five-Headed Dragon Queen's Scheme

  • Next Chapter

Under the gaze of countless dragons, the copper dragon flew before the White Dragon Lord and performed a customary greeting to an elder.

"Good day, great pioneer of the Dragon Race."

The White Dragon Lord raised an eyebrow. Obviously, the copper dragon was judging age by strength, mistaking him for some ancient monster who had lived a very long time.

"Erm... did you just wake up from a slumber?"

The copper dragon paused in surprise. "How did you know?"

If you don't even know who I am, you must have been sleeping.

The White Dragon Lord couldn't help but silently criticize the beast. He had stepped into the Abomination Rank over a hundred years ago. This High-Tier Legendary Level copper dragon had been sleeping that entire time; it was truly the height of laziness.

However, for the Dragon Race, this wasn't too outrageous. There once was a dragon who had slept for over a thousand years in a single stretch.

"Never mind. What do you need from me?"

The copper dragon humbly lowered its head. "Elder, I witnessed your subordinates' battle with the Titans and was amazed by their coordination. I asked if they could help train us, but that requires your permission."

"Alright. This benefits the Dragon Race, so I will arrange it."

The copper dragon was overjoyed. "Thank you for your benevolence, Elder."

The White Dragon Lord naturally wouldn't refuse to train the dragons of this world. It wasn't difficult; he just needed to provide systematic training methods and leave some dragons behind as instructors.

"Brother, Her Majesty the Dragon Queen has something to say to you," Felicia suddenly said from the side. Immediately, the Five-Headed Dragon Queen's will descended upon her. The surrounding dragons felt the dragon god's oppressive might and bowed their heads in humility.

The White Dragon Lord looked at the Five-Headed Dragon Queen in confusion. The trouble had already been resolved. Why descend now?

Using the Dragon Sister's body, the Five-Headed Dragon Queen cast a Magic Barrier, making it impossible for the outside world to see or hear anything inside.

"Amos, you've trained this Dragon Legion quite well."

A trace of puzzlement flashed through the White Dragon Lord's eyes. There were many of Tiamat's priests in the Dragon Legion; she had undoubtedly watched the battle through their eyes. He wasn't sure what the Five-Headed Dragon Queen meant by bringing it up so cryptically now.

"Please speak plainly, Your Majesty."

"Then I'll just say it. I compared this Dragon Legion with the dragon army in the Abyss. Next to your forces, the Abyssal dragon army is completely amateur. I want them to receive professional training. At the very least, they need to learn how to coordinate with one another."

Realization dawned on the White Dragon Lord; the copper dragon had inspired the Five-Headed Dragon Queen. "No problem. Since Your Majesty wants the Dragon Race to learn team combat, why not designate this world as a specialized training ground?"

"That is a good idea, but if I withdraw the army from the Abyss, it will leave a gap in combat power..." Tiamat looked at the White Dragon Lord. The implication was clear: he would have to fill it.

The White Dragon Lord raised an eyebrow. So the real trap was hidden at the end. His thoughts raced. Although Tiamat was scheming to use him, her words made perfect sense. Training the Abyssal dragons before throwing them back onto the battlefield would benefit their chances of victory.

"Then as you wish, Your Majesty. I will personally lead my army to join the war."

"There's no need for you to personally take the field. Evil Scale Fortress has lord dragons skilled in strategy who can guarantee..."

"It is better if I keep an eye on my own legion," the White Dragon Lord interrupted, shooting her a sideways glance. "Lest I look away for a moment and find someone poaching my forces."

"Hahaha, how could you think that?" The Five-Headed Dragon Queen laughed awkwardly, realizing she wasn't going to get the better of him. "Since you've already made your decision, I won't try to persuade you otherwise. When can you start training the Dragon Race?"

"I will arrange it after I lead my army to the Abyss. I will be as quick as possible."

"I will await your good news." Tiamat's will departed.

The White Dragon Lord turned back to the copper dragon and asked about the situation of the dragons on this plane.

Off to the side, Felicia felt her priest level rise by a rank. Her emotions were complicated. Without her realizing it, her older brother had become powerful enough to negotiate terms directly with the supreme dragon god and even force the Dragon Queen to make concessions.

Meanwhile, the White Dragon Lord learned from the copper dragon that the Senedar Dragon World was home to over thirty-one thousand dragons. The number of dragon beasts possessing the Dragon Race bloodline was uncountable, and with such a massive base population, they had also birthed over a thousand powerhouses at the Legendary Rank Level.

The White Dragon Lord pondered this. He could repurpose this plane into a military training ground. He quickly began formulating a plan in his mind.

This was different from the Dragon Academy. The Dragon Academy taught Very Young Dragons; compared to Adult Giant Dragons, those little drakes were blank slates ready to be molded.

The trainees this time, however, were Adult Giant Dragons with established foundations. They had experienced countless battles, big and small. They did not lack combat experience; what they lacked was coordination.

As for how to train their team combat capabilities, the White Dragon Lord already had a preliminary idea. First, he would impart the basic concepts of team combat. Then, they would be split into groups and forced to spar mercilessly. If they didn't want to get beaten, they would have to constantly learn teamwork.

Of course, their medical support had to keep up. In this regard, the Dragon Academy had plenty of priests to guarantee their daily training.

Ready to act, the White Dragon Lord immediately shared his thoughts with the Dragon Brother and Dragon Sister, assigning them to explain the concepts of team combat to the native dragons.

First, the native dragons had to identify their own strengths—whether they excelled at close combat, magic, or something else. Once they understood their strengths, they could determine their positions within a team.

After an intensive period of cramming, the native dragons grasped the theoretical knowledge of team combat. Next came the practical combat phase.

Groups of dragons clashed across designated battlefields, making the entire world buzz with activity.

The White Dragon Lord detached a group of priests from the Dragon Legion to heal those wounded in training.

Through round after round of live-combat drills, the dragons made visible progress in their teamwork. While they still couldn't compare to the Dragon Legion trained from youth, they were no longer fighting like street brawlers, having achieved the effectiveness of a normal army.

Seeing the results, the White Dragon Lord knew his methods were sound. Leaving a portion of the priest-class dragons behind on this plane, he teleported the Dragon Legion to the Abyss, joining the war between Tiamat and the Dark Titans.

Simultaneously, a portion of dragons entered the Senedar Dragon World to undergo training.

...

In the Abyss Battlefield, under a sky choked with dark clouds, the dragons and the titan army stood in a tense standoff.

The titans looked uneasily at the opposing dragons, feeling a heavy sense of oppression. These dragons weren't acting like they used to—they weren't roaring, hurling insults, or spewing Dragon Breath to show off their strength.

They were very quiet, just silently staring at the titans. Those cold, hate-filled gazes made the titans' scalps prickle with dread.

"Something's wrong! These dragons aren't right!"

In the distance, the Abomination Rank titan observing the battlefield through magic—Fudehulk, Pillar of the Heavens—felt a deep sense of unease. These dragons didn't look like a hastily assembled band of stragglers, but rather a legitimate, regular legion.

Damn it! Is this Tiamat's hidden trump card?!

But why take it out so early?!

He didn't understand, but the two armies were already locked in a standoff; it was too late to retreat now.

"Attack!" The dragon forces took the initiative to strike first.

The flock of dragons unleashed a world-shaking roar. The roar erupted almost simultaneously, its massive volume echoing with soul-stirring power.

While the titans were still palpitating from the sound, the dragons charged together.

The opposing titan army also noticed the difference in this dragon army. The old dragon combat style was to swarm their enemies, relying entirely on individual bravery with absolutely no discipline to speak of.

But this dragon charge was perfectly uniform. The dragons maintained enough spacing from one another, the distance between them so precise it looked as if it had been measured with a ruler. It was a pleasing sight.

If a military Master skilled in strategy had been present, they would have instantly realized the brilliance of that spacing: it left exactly enough room for evasive maneuvers while ensuring they wouldn't cause congestion.

Divine buffing spells washed over the frontline dragons. Simultaneously, apocalyptic magic rained down from the sky, bombarding the charging titan army.

The timing and placement of the magic were grasped accurately. The timing struck right as the titans reached their full charging phase, and the position landed perfectly behind the frontline titans. This forced the rear titans to halt to neutralize the magical attacks.

With their rear under attack, the frontline titans faced a question: should they continue charging, or wait for their comrades to charge together?

The dragon and titan armies crashed into one another. The titans were horrified to discover that this dragon army was ferociously brave; nearly everyone possessed a professional level, giving the dragons a clear advantage in individual power over the Titan Race.

Moreover, the dragons actually coordinated with each other—for example, helping block attacks meant for their comrades, and working together to set up certain-kill opportunities.

The titans couldn't hold their ground against this elite force for long, and their morale plummeted. They despairingly realized that these dragons' teamwork was incredibly good. Whenever a comrade was wounded, other dragons would immediately cover its retreat, resulting in very low casualties for the Dragon Race.

For the Titan Race, it was exactly the opposite. The dragon army deliberately targeted the soft persimmons; the moment a titan showed fatigue, they would immediately suffer a focused siege, unable to escape at all.

The Titan Race was collapsing!

Fudehulk, Pillar of the Heavens, was greatly alarmed in his heart. He hadn't thought they wouldn't lose, but he never expected defeat to come this quickly. He could sit still no longer and personally flew toward the frontline.

Meteor Spell!

A meteor dragging a long tail of fire plummeted from the sky, tearing through the dark clouds as it hurtled toward the dragon army.

Far in the distance, the White Dragon Lord sensed the fluctuation of Abomination Rank power and made his move.

Spatial Transfer!

A massive black hole appeared in the meteor's descent path, swallowing the rock whole and sending it into the endless void.

The White Dragon Lord teleported to appear above the dragon army, gazing at the approaching Rock Titan in the distance.

The corners of his mouth curled into a smirk. The newcomer was an "old friend"—the very same Rock Titan the Mother of Lightning had once invited to besiege him: Fudehulk, Pillar of the Heavens.

Spotting the White Dragon Lord, the Abomination Rank Rock Titan also felt a jolt of shock in his heart.

Damn it! Why is it him?!

The white dragon had once summoned several Abomination Rank Ice Elementals all at once. Later on, he had even called forth a powerhouse comparable to the God of the Dark Titans, a powerhouse that had crippled the Frost Whisperer in a single strike. This had all left a profound impression on Fudehulk; he would never forget it for the rest of his life.

Coupled with the recent news that the White Dragon Lord had piloted a Floating City to scheme against the Star Titan, Sinzela, the Rock Titan had already elevated the White Dragon Lord's threat level to that of a Dragon King.

The Rock Titan's scalp tingled. Had he not sensed that the white dragon's aura before him wasn't stronger than his own, he would have instantly called for the God of the Dark Titans to support him.

Bracing himself, he flew across to face the White Dragon Lord, staring him down with a grim expression.

Compared to the Rock Titan's defensive posturing, the White Dragon Lord looked completely relaxed and at ease.

On one hand, the dragon army was advancing toward victory, so it was the Rock Titan who should be anxious. On the other hand, his own strength held the advantage, and coupled with the fact that he could summon his true body and the Floating City at any time if he encountered danger, he truly wasn't worried at all.

Of course, unless necessary, he wouldn't summon his true body away from guarding his plane. If he really couldn't win, he could summon his sealed Murloc subordinates, or he could summon the Winter Commander.

"White dragon, I heard you attacked His Majesty Sinzela. Is this true?"

The White Dragon Lord realized the Rock Titan was making the same mistake the Mother of Lightning had—mistaking his avatar for his true body.

But he felt no need to explain. Relying on his many trump cards, he directly launched an attack, sending several massive ice spheres flying at the Rock Titan.

The White Dragon Lord's choice to ignore the question infuriated the Rock Titan.

"White dragon, you will pay the price for your arrogance."

Several rock shields appeared in the flight path of the ice spheres. The ice spheres exploded against the rock shields, sending ice shards spraying in all directions.

The White Dragon Lord engaged in combat with the cautious Rock Titan, their ice magic and rock magic colliding in the air.

Because the White Dragon Lord was a professional Mage, the Rock Titan was so heavily suppressed in their magical exchange he couldn't even lift his head. Adding to the fact that the titan army was suffering heavy casualties under the dragon army's assault, he could only announce a retreat.

Leaving behind hundreds more corpses, the Titan Race fled in a sorry state.

The White Dragon Lord did not press the advantage to pursue, because if the Titan Race fired the Spear of the Titans backward as they retreated, it would cause certain casualties to the dragon army.

If this meticulously cultivated dragon army suffered too many casualties, the White Dragon Lord would feel the heartache.

The dragon army gazed up at the mighty silhouette in the sky, their eyes filled with worship and reverence.

"Collect the spoils of war!"

After a cheer, the dragon army landed on the ground and collected the spoils from the dead titans. One-third of these spoils went to the White Dragon Lord, while the other two-thirds were split among the dragon army.

Very quickly, the dragon army finished looting the titan corpses and returned to the garrison under the White Dragon Lord's lead.

In the garrison, the subordinates brought from the Yafeiawei Empire had already prepared food and handled other logistical work. The dragon army rested peacefully in the camp, habitually summarizing the day's battle, summarizing the titans' methods of attack, and summarizing their own flaws...

Meanwhile, having observed the dragon army's combat strength, Tiamat was very satisfied in her heart. The Five-Headed Dragon Queen secretly decided that after the war ended, she would discuss expanding the scale of the Dragon Academy with the White Dragon Lord.

Of course, it wasn't that she hadn't considered opening a Dragon Academy herself, but she didn't have the spatial lockdown technology and couldn't guarantee its safety.

Accompanied by the addition of the Dragon Legion, the stalemated war was broken, and the titans lost ground steadily on the Abyss Battlefield.

The God of the Dark Titans flew into a rage over this, but was completely helpless, because the Five-Headed Dragon Queen was constantly guarding against him; there was nothing he could do.

"We must call for reinforcements!"
