Chapter 476: Chapter 165: The Green Tea Female Supporting Character in the Period Novel (Finale)

"Don’t tell me you’ll end up taking a role that leaves people speechless one day. For example..." As she spoke, her gaze drifted downward.

Young Master Huo bristled like a cat. With a yelp, he instinctively covered his vital area and fled in a storm of shame and indignation.

Sister Yun laughed and snorted. "With that pathetic level of game, he still thinks he can rope me in and play me for a fool?"

Just as she finished speaking and turned around, she saw a tall, stern-looking young man. His handsomeness could only be described as enough to make both gods and men jealous.

Wherever he stood, he was like a star, radiating a light that could not be concealed. Yet, his eyes held the chill of a thousand-year-old glacial lake, capable of freezing a person to the spot in an instant.

Sister Yun had never seen a man like him.

She froze for a moment, her hand drifting to her chest. ’So this is what it feels like to be smitten!’

The man merely gave her an indifferent glance before turning to leave, his expression unchanged. It looked like he was heading for a back exit.

Sister Yun let out a small sigh of relief, but then felt a pang of regret. ’Why didn’t I take a picture of him? If I could look at that handsome face every day, I bet I could power through several more missions in other planes!’

The Purple Cloud Space-Time Administration Bureau was one of the three giants managing interstellar agents. It employed countless agents who traveled between various planes to complete predetermined missions or to help people fulfill their wishes, collecting energy value in the process.

As for Yun’er, while she was busy fulfilling wishes and collecting energy value, her missions were also filmed, produced into television series, and broadcast across major interstellar streaming platforms.

Thanks to her stunning looks, unpredictable methods, superb professional skills, and an uncanny ability to somehow hit all the right notes with her audience, she had amassed a huge fan base. This, combined with her frequent appearances in pastoral "farming" worlds, made her one of the undisputed top female agents at the Purple Cloud Space-Time Administration Bureau.

The moment she entered the hall, someone greeted her with a smile, bowing as they led her to her seat and quietly explained the evening’s schedule.

"Sister Yun, we’re so glad you could make time for our company’s year-end banquet."

"Please, enjoy the food. There will be a speech from our boss, a raffle where your chances are based on employee contribution, and finally... we’ve hired a mysterious guest!"

The young woman was inexplicably excited as she whispered the intel she’d gathered. "Sister Yun, whether or not you’ll have a chance to dance with him all comes down to your luck in the raffle tonight."

"I heard that some people are already secretly buying up contribution shares just to get that chance."

Sister Yun, who had been feeling a bit drowsy, sat bolt upright, suddenly wide awake. "What kind of mysterious guest is worth all you ladies fighting over?"

"It’s top-secret information, but I have my sources. They say it’s *Him*," the young woman whispered, pointing a finger upward.

Sister Yun’s eyes lit up. As a veteran purveyor of gossip, how could she not know who *He* was?

The mythical War God of the interstellar era! His beauty was said to be beyond imagination, his lifespan equal to that of the stars. No one knew how many ages he had lived. He was like the very pillar supporting the entire interstellar world.

With him standing guard, there was nothing to fear.

The mere thought of such a god-like figure was enough to make anyone swoon.

Yet, very few had ever been fortunate enough to lay eyes on him. His appearance was known only through tales passed down from generation to generation.

The storytellers had come and gone for tens, even hundreds of generations, but the subject of their tales remained, still powerfully defending the interstellar world.

Of course, some whispered that the War God never showed his true face because he must be hideously ugly, with a brutish face, afraid of ruining the public’s high opinion of him.

Others said he was as tall as a stone pillar...

The young woman’s tone then shifted. "I think the chances of that are too low, though. It’s probably one of his relatives or just some other high-status figure."

After the shock of the War God possibility, Sister Yun, like the young woman, no longer held any real expectations for the mysterious guest.

In her most recent missions across different planes, Sister Yun had experienced marriage and childbirth. She had a knack for taking what should have been the dull and tedious routine of married life—the daily grind—and infusing it with passion and romance.

Now, wave after wave of people came up to strike up a conversation. Most were men, who, whether overtly or covertly, tried to ask her out. A minority were women, consumed with envy and jealousy, who either put on a false show of friendliness or warned her not to casually flirt with other people’s men.

The whole meal was thoroughly depressing for Sister Yun.

’I shouldn’t have come.’ It was just as Mingxing had predicted. Forget watching the drama unfold; she had become the spectacle everyone was gawking at.

’All I did was choose the same path as everyone else, so why are they acting like I’ve debased myself?’

"Mr. Mu, I never imagined you would attend our company’s year-end banquet," a normally aloof senior executive said, his smile utterly fawning. "Your presence truly brings honor to our humble gathering..."

The man coolly swirled the drink in his hand. A casual glance was all it took to spot the woman who had been endlessly occupied all evening.

He felt the negative affliction in his body threatening to resurface.

’Heh. So this is the agent locked into the same series of planes as me.’

’How could such a shallow woman make my other selves in those planes fall so desperately in love with her? So much so that they could even overcome my allergy to women!’

"Mr. Mu, have you taken a liking to Miss Gu Yun?" someone asked cautiously.

Mr. Mu let out a cold laugh. "Go. Arrange it. Let me see for myself what’s so great about this Gu Yun."

’How could she win over so many people with just a pretty face? This endless stream of admirers is infuriating!’

The executives exchanged a glance, delight visible in their eyes. They nodded and immediately went to make the arrangements.

After the mingling and food-tasting portion of the evening was over, the senior executives took turns giving speeches on stage. Then came the most anticipated event of the night: the raffle!

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Purple Cloud Space-Time Administration Bureau’s year-end banquet! Over the past year, your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed by the leadership..."

"To that end, the company has prepared generous cash prizes. So, let’s begin the drawing in order of the contribution rankings!"

Suddenly, a massive sphere descended slowly from the ceiling. It was filled with palm-sized balls of every color, creating a beautiful and dreamlike sight.

Each small ball contained a slip of paper with a prize written on it. There were no empty lots, but the prizes themselves varied.

The raffle began with the invited employees who had the lowest contribution scores, which meant their chances of winning a grand prize were exceptionally small.

Although this lottery ball system seemed perfectly fair, it was actually quite easy to manipulate.

For example, the weights of the balls could be slightly biased. During the tumbling phase of the draw, the heavier balls would fall out first!
