Xi Siyan has a meeting tonight to discuss a collaboration, so naturally, he needs to have dinner with the other party, and can’t join Zhou Chengchen for dinner.

Of course, Zhou Chengchen doesn’t mind. She isn’t in a rush to return to her apartment. She’s quite familiar with Cheng Yi’s group now. Everyone chatted lively, and having dinner together in the evening is quite normal.

Liu Xiaoyu didn’t follow Xi Siyan, but buried himself in front of his computer, focused on something unknown. They invited him to join for dinner, and Liu Xiaoyu just lifted his head and politely said, "Could you bring me a portion, please? I have something to finish here."

Cheng Yi’s team is already used to such situations. They all know Liu Xiaoyu is a tech fanatic. If he gets inspired, he can sit in front of the computer without moving for an entire day.

After wrapping up earlier work, there aren’t many working overtime. Zhou Chengchen joined them for dinner, packed a portion for Liu Xiaoyu, and jokingly returned to the office with others. She delivered the food container to Liu Xiaoyu.

Initially, she wanted to urge him to eat first, but upon seeing Liu Xiaoyu’s distracted and serious look, seeming like he lived in a separate world from them, Zhou Chengchen closed her mouth, ready to turn around. Suddenly, she heard a "clack," the sound of fingers pressing heavily on the keyboard.

"Finally, it’s done."

Zhou Chengchen was startled by him, then saw Liu Xiaoyu already picking up the food container, grinning at her, "Thanks."

"Are you okay, being so jumpy?"

"Nothing, nothing."

Liu Xiaoyu seemed to have completed something significant, looking very excited. He opened the food container and ate without even checking what was inside.

While eating, he spoke indistinctly, "Cheng Chen, when are you returning to the United Kingdom?"

"Next Wednesday’s flight."

"Oh, oh, when you graduate, I’ll go to see you with the big boss."

"Sure."

Compared to the shyness of high school days, Liu Xiaoyu now appears much more mature and outgoing. The one thing that hasn’t changed is his constant admiration for Xi Siyan—definitely a little fanboy.

While they were chatting idly, someone walked in through the main door. Zhou Chengchen, with her back against the entrance, didn’t see who it was. She only noticed Liu Xiaoyu’s once smiling face suddenly drop.

Staring intently at the door, Zhou Chengchen turned in surprise. Seeing the newcomer, she felt a bit familiar, but didn’t immediately recognize them.

At this moment, someone already walked over, "Hello, who are you looking for?"

Since it’s already after work hours, the receptionist naturally isn’t here. The person speaking was someone just coincidentally over at the water area fetching water.

"Hello, is Xi Siyan here?"

The visitor had a gentle tone, directly calling out Xi Siyan’s name, seemingly quite familiar.

It was in this moment that Zhou Chengchen recognized the person.

Zhang Yi!

Xi Siyan’s mother.

Thinking of how Xi Siyan answered the phone this afternoon, Zhou Chengchen frowned slightly.

She has seen Zhang Yi before, but after so many years, Zhang Yi appears much older, clearly a housewife caring for elders and children at home.

That’s why she didn’t immediately recognize her at first.

Now that she’s recognized her, as she’s thinking whether to go over, the person beside already approached.

"President Xi isn’t here. This is a workplace, no entry for unauthorized persons. Please leave."
