After arranging those items one by one, Zhou Chengchen felt happy just looking at them.

Toothbrushes, matching couples’ sets; cups, matching couples’ sets.

She also bought home clothes and even changed the bed sheets to a style she liked.

The bright pink things were at odds with the simple and cold decoration style of the apartment, looking awkward no matter how they were placed.

But Xi Siyan didn’t mind; he was totally easygoing, as long as she was happy.

After shopping all afternoon and tidying up for half a day, Zhou Chengchen was too tired to move, lying motionless on the sofa.

Xi Siyan busied himself in the kitchen for a while before coming over to call her for dinner.

The two had lunch outside, and Xi Siyan originally intended to have dinner out too, but Zhou Chengchen’s comment, "The food outside isn’t as good as yours," immediately dispelled that plan.

"Dinner?"

"Mm... I don’t want to move, it’ll take over twenty steps to walk there."

Zhou Chengchen lazily sprawled on the sofa, and after a brief pause, Xi Siyan bent down and picked her up directly.

Zhou Chengchen cooperatively wrapped her arms around his neck, and playfully they made their way to the dining table.

The dishes Xi Siyan made weren’t anything special, but Zhou Chengchen found them incredibly delicious.

With a full, round belly, she was carried back to the sofa to sit down; outside, the sky had already turned dark. They found a movie to watch, and nestled in Xi Siyan’s arms, while occasionally taking bites of the fruits he offered her, Zhou Chengchen felt her life was complete.

The next day, Zhou Chengchen still returned to the Zhou Family; regardless of the circumstances, some issues had to be explained clearly.

As soon as she walked in, she saw her parents and Zhou Qi, with a sullen expression, already seated in the living room waiting for her.

Due to her parents being present, Zhou Qi didn’t forcibly rush over to question her, and Zhou Chengchen ignored him as well, simply telling her parents that she was with Xi Siyan now, hence why she didn’t return to the United Kingdom.

As for some matters from the past, Zhou Chengchen didn’t explain them in detail, mentioning briefly that it was a misunderstanding.

Given her current age, dating was perfectly normal, and Qi Cheng only slightly blamed her daughter’s persistent lack of maturity and didn’t say much more.

But Zhou Qi’s expression became even darker.

Having finally gotten past her parents, as Zhou Chengchen reached the second floor, Zhou Qi suddenly dragged her into his room: "Explain yourself properly, how did you end up with that guy again? You forgot about what happened back then?"

"Brother, what happened back then was a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding? Zhou Chengchen, are you stupid? If he says it’s a misunderstanding then it is?"

"Brother, I like him, I’ve always liked him."

"You..."

Zhou Chengchen didn’t fight with Zhou Qi, nor did she explain briefly; instead, she carefully reiterated her suspicions and misunderstandings.

Zhou Qi listened with a frown; in fact, he did trust Xi Siyan’s character, so when Zhou Chengchen told him at the time, his initial reaction had also been that it was a misunderstanding.

But Zhou Chengchen’s demeanor then, coupled with later witnessing Xi Siyan truly walking together with Guo Yue, finally convinced Zhou Qi otherwise.

"Then when we returned, he wasn’t with that person?"

Zhou Chengchen had also asked about this, and although Xi Siyan couldn’t remember exactly what happened that day, he and Guo Yue were both recommended students, their relationship wasn’t particularly strong, but during the initial school term there were many activities they had to attend together, so they happened to be together occasionally.
