Chapter 77: Chapter 76: The Overbearing CEO’s Little Wildcat 17
Each of the two hijackers pulled out a handgun, pressing them to the children’s temples with agitated expressions.
Ji Xiaosong gave them a cold look, snapped her fingers, and the handguns fell onto the chair.
Liu Wanqing watched this scene, trembling with fear.
She looked at the man piloting the helicopter and whispered, "Take me hostage!"
The man simply turned to glance at Liu Wanqing, and his eyes immediately became entranced.
He pulled out a dagger and yanked Liu Wanqing over.
"Mrs. Lu, help me!"
Ji Xiaosong ignored Liu Wanqing. Her Divine Sense had been blanketing the entire helicopter; how could Liu Wanqing’s actions possibly have escaped her notice?
"Let my children go, and I’ll spare your lives."
One of the hijackers laughed wildly. "Spare our lives? You think you can do that? We have these two little brats in our hands now. You’d better do as we say, or I can’t guarantee their little lives!"
The other hijacker added viciously, "Don’t even think about fighting back, or we’ll blow these two brats’ heads off right now!"
Ji Xiaosong’s gaze grew even colder as a powerful aura emanated from her. "Just you try and touch them!"
The hijackers were stunned by Ji Xiaosong’s presence for a moment, but they quickly regained their arrogance. "Hmph, don’t try to scare us. We’re in control here. What can you do to us? Get Lu Youheng out here. We’ll trade him for the two kids."
Lu Youheng’s helicopter was already approaching. Ji Xiaosong looked at Second Lu and Third Lu, coaxing them gently, "Second Lu, Third Lu, close your eyes. Don’t open them until Mommy says so."
Second Lu and Third Lu quickly nodded, squeezing their eyes shut.
Ji Xiaosong no longer held back. She directly transformed two streams of Spiritual Power into sharp blades and sliced off the hijackers’ hands that were holding the children.
The hijackers let out blood-curdling screams, writhing in agony inside the cabin as blood splattered everywhere. They stared at Ji Xiaosong in terror, their eyes filled with despair and fear, all their earlier arrogance gone.
Terrified by the bloody scene, Liu Wanqing collapsed to the floor. Her face was deathly pale, and her body trembled uncontrollably as she screamed, "Aah! Murder!"
Ignoring their reactions, Ji Xiaosong quickly used her Spiritual Power, gently enveloping Second Lu and Third Lu and instantly transporting them onto Rongrong.
"My darlings, it’s okay now. You can open your eyes," Ji Xiaosong said gently.
Second Lu and Third Lu opened their eyes and threw themselves into Ji Xiaosong’s arms, bursting into tears.
"Don’t be scared, don’t be scared. Mommy’s here," Ji Xiaosong comforted them softly, holding them tight.
Without further delay, she flew back to where they were before with the two children, lest Lu Youheng spot them.
Lu Youheng’s helicopter was just about to round the corner. Rongrong sped up, bringing Ji Xiaosong and the two children into the building in the blink of an eye.
"Mommy, were you just riding Sun Wukong’s Somersault Cloud?"
Held in Ji Xiaosong’s arms, Second Lu wasn’t so scared anymore.
Ji Xiaosong chuckled. "No."
"Mommy, can you take us flying in the sky again sometime? The feeling of stepping on the clouds just now was just so amazing!"
Even Third Lu, who was usually indifferent to everything, was now flush with excitement, as if their recent experience hadn’t been frightening at all.
"Mommy would never do something like this unless it was a matter of life and death, because the risk is too great. Are you still scared? What just happened?"
The moment the topic came up, Second Lu began chattering away, "Mommy, you have no idea how dangerous it was! The helicopter just suddenly flew over. I thought it was just someone flying a helicopter to work like before, but I didn’t expect they were here to snatch us."
"What’s the deal with Liu Wanqing? Didn’t Assistant Wu already deal with her?"
"She was already on the helicopter; she was with those hijackers. Just now, on the plane, she was saying she wanted to take us three brothers to Triangle Country and sell us to one of those scam compounds there."
Just talking about it made Second Lu’s little face scrunch up in anger.
Before Ji Xiaosong could reply, she suddenly heard a loud BANG.
She quickly extended her Divine Sense and saw the hijackers’ helicopter had lost control and was plummeting toward the ground.
The bustling crowds on the street had already scattered the moment they sensed danger.
Watching the sudden scene unfold, Ji Xiaosong was startled. ’I was so focused on saving the kids, I didn’t have time to deal with the potential aftermath.’
The moment the helicopter crashed violently into the ground, it burst into a shower of sparks. Flames spread instantly, threatening to rage out of control.
Ji Xiaosong didn’t dare hesitate. She quickly cast a Spell. A powerful barrier of Spiritual Power instantly contained the fire tightly within the limited area of the helicopter. The surrounding areas were left untouched, successfully averting a potential disaster that could have spread.
A figure escaped from the helicopter. Ji Xiaosong looked and saw it was, as expected, a disheveled Liu Wanqing.
’Interesting. Someone with a system actually managed to escape that disaster.’
"Mommy, her system’s energy is stronger now. It’s highly likely Liu Wanqing successfully ’conquered’ some minor character in a very short time, which is why her energy grew. I need to get close to her for at least half an hour to have a chance at taking down her conquest system."
Second Lu leaned in. Although he couldn’t see the person downstairs clearly, his own system had told him.
"Okay, Mommy will find her. What happened just now—me saving you—can’t be known by anyone else. So you two have to keep your lips sealed."
"Don’t worry, Mommy. We would never tell anyone that our mommy is a fairy from the heavens."
Second Lu lifted his head proudly, his face a picture of assurance.
Third Lu also nodded seriously. ’His mom was a fairy; he knew that even before he was reincarnated. It was a secret, just like the fact that he was reincarnated with his memories. This secret couldn’t be told to anyone.’
Thankfully, everyone had already left earlier. Plus, Ji Xiaosong was on the top floor, and the helicopter was flying high, so no one had noticed.
The mother and her two sons were safe, but Lu Youheng, who had just rushed over, was in complete despair.
He had watched helplessly as the hijackers’ helicopter crashed, believing his two sons had gone down with it.
He piloted his own helicopter down in a frenzy. Thankfully, the street was wide, so there was at least a place to land.
"Sons! My sons!"
Lu Youheng hurriedly jumped down from the helicopter, his steps unsteady, nearly stumbling and falling.
He ran recklessly toward the crashed helicopter, his eyes filled with terror and despair, as if he had lost his mind.
However, just as he was about to reach the wreckage, he was violently repelled by an invisible force, and he was thrown backward to the ground.
He quickly scrambled up and tried to rush forward again, repeatedly shouting his sons’ names, "Second Lu! Third Lu!"
But the force blocked him again and again. Lu Youheng was frantic, his eyes bloodshot and the veins on his forehead bulging. "Let me in! Let me in to find my sons!"
"Mr. Lu, there’s a fire hydrant over there. We have to put out the fire first."
Assistant Wu ran over and grabbed Lu Youheng. ’The two young masters were so adorable, how could they suddenly...’
Sigh.
"Right, put out the fire! Put out the fire!"
Lu Youheng rushed toward a nearby fire hydrant, and he and Assistant Wu prepared to fight the fire.
People on both sides of the street had also run to fire hydrants, but everyone discovered with horror that there was no water in them at all.
"Where’s the water? Why is there no water in the hydrants?"
