Chapter 76: Chapter 75: The Overbearing CEO’s Little Wildcat 16

The caregivers took the three children for a stroll around the company. Of course, they wouldn’t go into any of the work areas; after all, that would disturb the staff.

They were all employees of the family’s company, and they weren’t so idle as to go showing off their status.

The building had many large terraces. Some had been turned into gardens, while others were cafés.

The caregivers, of course, wanted to take the children to a garden, but Eldest Lu disagreed.

"I just want to stay in Daddy’s office. I don’t want to go anywhere else."

Eldest Lu’s caregiver knew this little tyrant’s temper. He had a mind of his own, and as long as it didn’t cross any of the lines Lu Youheng had laid down, they were happy to indulge him.

"Mr. Lu and his wife are busy right now. Can we go see them after they’re finished?"

The caregiver was unwilling to interrupt her bosses’ private moment, so she could only try to coax him for now.

"Daddy and Mummy are busy, and I won’t disturb them. Just let me sit in Daddy’s office chair for a little while."

Just then, Assistant Wu finished dealing with Liu Wanqing’s matter. He walked over, delighted to see Eldest Lu.

"Young Master, Mr. Lu is busy right now. Why don’t I take you to my office to play for a bit?"

"Do you have a computer in your office? I want to see your computer."

Of course, Eldest Lu wasn’t dead set on going to Lu Youheng’s office. He had come to Lu Youheng’s company with Ji Xiaosong today to pull off something big.

The various financial markets were abuzz today, and he was going to show what he could do.

"Young Master, you’re still little. Your grandmother and Mr. Lu specifically instructed..."

"’No playing on the computer, it’s bad for your eyes...’"

Eldest Lu rolled his eyes.

"That was when I was younger. I’m over a year old now, so what’s the big deal about looking at a computer? Besides, isn’t Assistant Wu right here? You don’t need to worry."

The caregivers couldn’t talk him out of it. At home, the three children weren’t allowed to touch any computers, but now, here at the company, all the computers were on.

Assistant Wu picked up Eldest Lu and said coaxingly, "Since Mr. Lu gave the order, the young master won’t play, he’ll just look. It’s perfectly normal for a child to be curious. Don’t worry."

He carried Eldest Lu over to the computer. The various markets were very active today. Assistant Wu’s desk had five monitors, each with multiple split screens showing financial market data from different regions across the globe.

After watching for two minutes, Eldest Lu pointed to one of the split screens and said, "ALL IN! ALL IN!"

Assistant Wu thought nothing of it and chuckled. "The young master has been around Mr. Lu for so long, these terms just roll off his tongue. Truly a child of the Lu Family..."

Before he could finish speaking, Eldest Lu wriggled out of his embrace and started using the computer himself.

"Ah... you can’t just click randomly, don’t..."

Assistant Wu’s face instantly turned deathly pale, cold sweat popping out on his forehead. He reached out to stop Eldest Lu, but it was too late.

With a few quick clicks of his small hand on the mouse, Eldest Lu completed the transaction.

Assistant Wu stood frozen to the spot, his eyes filled with utter panic and despair, as if he were witnessing an impending catastrophe.

However, in less than a minute, a miracle occurred.

Everything Eldest Lu had just bought into started to rise. The look of despair on Assistant Wu’s face instantly froze, then his eyes widened in disbelief, and his mouth fell open.

Immediately after, his expression shifted from despair to elation. His face flushed with excitement, and he stammered incoherently, "This... How is this possible? Young Master, you’re incredible!"

Eldest Lu, however, just looked baffled, blinking his big eyes as if he didn’t understand why everyone was so agitated.

Just as Assistant Wu was reveling in his excitement, one of Second Lu’s caregivers rushed in.

"It’s terrible, Assistant Wu! The Second Young Master was just kidnapped!"

The smile on Assistant Wu’s face instantly vanished, replaced by extreme shock and panic. "What? What happened?"

"We were walking in the garden with the Second and Third Young Masters when a small helicopter suddenly appeared next to the terrace. Several men rappelled down and grabbed the Second Young Master. We tried to call for help, but they snatched our phones. The others were all captured; I was the only one who got away."

After listening, Assistant Wu immediately ran out, pulling out his phone to call Lu Youheng as he went.

Before he could dial, Ji Xiaosong and Lu Youheng emerged from the private lounge.

Ji Xiaosong had already changed into a clean set of clothes. Without a word, she picked up Eldest Lu and headed out.

"Lock down all information! Mobilize our people! Ensure Second Lu’s safety at all costs!"

Lu Youheng barked out a series of commands. By the time they reached the garden terrace, Second Lu and Third Lu had already been loaded onto the helicopter. Liu Wanqing had been taken aboard as well.

Ji Xiaosong walked to the window, calmly watching the helicopter fly away from the building as she considered her options.

"To the roof! My helicopter’s on the helipad."

Lu Youheng ran for the elevator, and the others scrambled to follow him. Only Ji Xiaosong remained.

’There’s no time. There’s no guarantee what those kidnappers will do to the two children.’

In the two years since coming to J Country, she had encountered her fair share of robberies and shootings. But because she was always on guard, no one had ever gotten the better of her.

’I was careless today. I thought the security at the company building was good, that as long as we were inside, we were safe. I never imagined someone would fly a helicopter to a terrace garden to snatch people.’

Once everyone had left the room, Ji Xiaosong raised her hand and gave it a gentle wave. The windowpane slid aside, creating an opening large enough for a person.

"Rongrong, it’s up to you."

Rongrong, who had been floating in the sky, instantly flew over. Ji Xiaosong stepped onto Rongrong, and in the blink of an eye, she appeared beside the helicopter.

"Second, Third, Mommy’s here."

With a wave of her hands, a powerful surge of Spiritual Power erupted, instantly forming a transparent shield that trapped the helicopter, rendering it completely immobile.

The kidnappers inside the helicopter were thrown into a panic. Their eyes widened in disbelief, and terror washed over their faces.

"Wh-what is this?" one of the kidnappers stammered.

"What the hell! What kind of power is this!" another kidnapper cried, his face drained of all color.

Liu Wanqing was also inwardly stunned, but she fought to control her features, forcing herself to look as terrified and helpless as the actual kidnappers.

Ji Xiaosong’s gaze was like ice. Muttering an incantation, she transformed her Spiritual Power into innumerable, tough ropes that bound the kidnappers tightly.

"Mommy!" Second Lu and Third Lu cried out when they saw Ji Xiaosong, tears shining in their eyes.

Her heart ached for them. With a gentle lift of her hand, the helicopter door slid open.

The kidnappers each held a child, keeping them firmly in their grasp.

"Don’t move! Or we’ll kill them!"
