Chapter 1518: So... They Are Literally Monsters

My gods... Here I was thinking that I was already a bad enough person with how arrogant I was acting... Only to realise I’m practically a saint next to people like this...

No wonder people like those in the Student Affairs Committee and the Enforcer Committee were still willing to recruit me!

Because in their eyes, there’s actually worse people than me!

Arrrrghhh!! I’m pissed!! I’m seriously pissed!!

Why am I pissed? Because I just learned that despite the fact that I had already resolved myself to be a villain, there’s people like this who are being even worse than I am without even trying!!

Do you know how much effort I need to put in just to act like this?!!

This is so unfair!! This is unacceptable!!

I was still in the midst of being pissed by this when we finally got to the front of the line where the group of veteran Dungeoneers were sneering at us, some of them were even whistling indecently and openly ogling at my girls.

"Hey, hey~ We got a pretty nice group here. But too bad, rules are rules. You’ve got to pay a small bronze coin to get through here," One of them chuckled, stretching out his hand, palm facing up.

No doubt he was expecting us to just hand over the money to him like the others.

The good thing was that I was leading my party which meant that I was standing at the front and thus the person who was currently closest to this group of idiots.

Otherwise... I have no doubt that my girls would have just kicked their asses before I could do anything.

Anyway... Because I’m in this position... I stored my egg away and moved faster than the guy could react, my fist flying towards his abdomen and striking him in the gut.

His eyes bulged before he gasped as air was forced out of his lungs, the guy sent flying back to crash into one of his other team mates to crumple onto the ground before anyone else could realise what was going on.

I then kicked off the ground and kicked my foot out to smash it into the side of another guy, sending him cartwheeling away to crash into the wall of the ruin.

The guy next to him was quick to reach for his weapon at his waist but my tail came snaking out from behind me and struck him in the chest like a bullet, propelling him backwards to crash into another of his comrades.

There was one ranger guy who was perched on top of the ruin and he managed to nock an arrow to aim it at me while I was beating his party members down below.

I watched as he released the bowstring with a twang and the arrow was shot at me, aimed for my side.

I easily side stepped the arrow, letting it embed itself into the ground instead of catching it out of the air.

Which turned out to be the right choice since the moment the arrow struck the ground, electrical sparks exploded out from its tip to scorch the ground around it.

I created a portal beside me with the exit point being beside him, the ranger only realising what I was planning to do after I stuck my arm into the portal while maintaining eye contact with him.

My arm appeared in the exit portal and I grabbed him by the neck, the ranger letting out a choked gasp before I pulled him through the portal so he was now down here with me.

I then went ahead to slam him on the ground, knocking him out as well.

The area behind my neck felt tingly and I reacted by infusing lightning into my fist with [Lightning Clad] before spinning around to punch behind me, my fist smashing into a ball of fire that was shot at me and completely erasing it from existence.

The mage that shot the fireball at me gaped at his spell being cancelled by my fist alone, since he couldn’t see me enhancing myself with my lightning from his position.

I leapt towards him before he could ready another spell, knocking him into the ground with a punch across his face.

With that, the entire party was wiped.

I turned back and summoned my egg again, going right back to feeding it my mana as I walked back to join my girls once again.

"Shall we?" I asked.

My girls grinned at me before we descended down the stairs, ignoring the stunned looks from the other Dungeoneers who were lined up behind us.

The next floor also led us to another open area that featured another set of ruins, though this one seemed to be less ’ruined’ than the previous floor.

I did, however, notice that the layout was the same as the previous floor’s.

While the floor before had basically no enemies wandering around and operated more like a maze, this one had monsters roaming the streets of the ruined city.

Particularly, the monsters seemed to be zombies and the open area allowed us to see the scores of the monsters lumbering around the place.

They weren’t really much of a threat to us since they were especially slow in their movements and there were other Dungeoneers that were currently hunting them as well for their Mana Crystals.

I then noted that there was another queue of Dungeoneers outside the same area as the floor above us, which I assumed was also the location of where the stairs were to the next floor.

So first of all... I’m assuming the location of the stairs would remain the same even on the next floor if the floor also featured the same ruined city.

Second of all... For there to be another queue... Don’t tell me there’s another group of Dungeoneers shaking down the newbies?!

Seriously, is this even worth the effort to do that?! I mean... You’re collecting one Crea per party, and you’re just standing around doing nothing aside from trying to look intimidating. Aren’t there better uses for your time?!

This time, we didn’t even bother queuing up and I just led my girls directly to the front of the line.

"Eh? What the heck? Are they cutting the queue?"

"Shit... It’s that girl with the rock..."

"Should have expected her group to do something like that..."

I ignored the whispering coming from those guys since I was technically going to do something to benefit them anyway.

I reached the ruins where the stairs were located and sure enough, there was a group of people there that were surrounding the stairs.

"Alright, to pass to the next floor, you have to pay us ten Mana Crystals! Otherwise, you don’t get to pass!"

When I saw the people gathered around the stairs, I froze up.

The reason for that was because I realised that the people surrounding the stairs... Were the exact same as the people upstairs...

What the heck? How? What is going on here?!

Katsuki sniffed at them before turning to me, "They are not Mahuns, Mistress... They are monsters."

Eh?

Lisa nodded, "Seems like these things are basically the floor bosses in a way. You can either pay them the fee they ask of you or... You can defeat them to advance without paying."

...

...

What the heck?!!!

Ok, that’s actually pretty cool, to be honest. I didn’t think there would be Dungeons that have functions like that.

But the next thing is... Doesn’t that mean I basically just did what I was supposed to upstairs and the only reason the people behind us were surprised was not because I just beat up a couple of people... But because they saw me essentially solo a floor boss by myself?

Tsk... And I even held back to make sure I only knocked them out instead of killing them...

Haaa... Screw this... I don’t want to think about it anymore...

In fact... I went ahead to cut in front of the group that was waiting for their turn to enter, their leader scowling at me.

"Hey?! What gi--"

I ignored them and gestured towards the floor boss group while letting out a deep sigh.

"Girls... Deal with them for me..."

There was a flutter of movement as my girls ran past me to charge towards the floor boss group.

"Alright, to pass to the next floor, you have to pay us--"

The leader of the floor boss group didn’t get to finish his words before Emilia appeared in front of him and sliced his head off.

The rest of my girls followed in as well and it didn’t even take them a few seconds before every single one of these... Monsters... They are monsters, right? Yeah... It took just a few seconds before all of them were dead.

My girls did not hold back either so... It was a rather gruesome scene where body parts were strewn about the place...

I turned to the leader of the party we had just cut in front of, "So... You don’t mind us going ahead, right?"

He shook his head quickly.
