Thankfully, my girls bought my explanation about the accidental memory loss where I accidentally let the egg absorb part of my memories while feeding it my mana.

I assured them that I talked to the egg and got my memories back and no, it did not make me lose any other memory aside from that.

I have a feeling that a few of them were not completely convinced but they decided to just let it slide since I had already tried to assure them that everything was fine.

At least they don’t seem to be looking at my egg any differently than before... As far as I could tell, anyway...

After that incident, we were now fully looking forward to the first weekend that we would spend in the school.

From what I have heard from the other students, we are free to explore the Academy and make use of its facilities within the rights of what our position grants us.

Some places might only be accessible to certain groups of people like senior students or students of a particular study so those would be out of bounds for us.

Ironically, with me picking up so many different studies, I’ve also opened up quite a lot of places that I could go as well, and I’m also allowed to bring companions along too if I were to visit those places.

Most of those locations were meant as places where you could further practice your craft and studies so it’s not really a place you would go for fun anyway and definitely not what we plan to do here.

After all... We already made plans that we would once again head to the Dungeons on the island this weekend to sate my girls’ lust for battle.

The last time, we completed the E ranked Dungeon so everyone who was newly registered as a Guild member was at least an E ranked Dungeoneer.

That opened up the next difficulty tier for us which was D rank and if we want to challenge the higher levels, we would have to clear a D ranked Dungeon first.

Honestly, with the people in my party, I believe we would be able to clear up to a B ranked Dungeon without breaking a sweat. And by that, I mean that I probably wouldn’t need to be frantically healing anyone because the monsters in these Dungeons are too weak to inflict much damage on my girls.

On A ranked and above, I would expect us to actually need to start fighting a little seriously to take down the monsters within.

Which is why as we were walking through the Dungeon Nexus to reach the portals that led to the D ranked Dungeons, we were quite relaxed.

I noted that quite a number of people within the Dungeon Nexus all turned to stare at us as we walked past, most likely aware of who we were.

As though to confirm my thoughts, I overheard the whispers from some of them that were watching us.

"Didn’t you try to recruit one of them a few days ago?"

"Don’t remind me... It was so humiliating... I thought that we were at least on the same level but I got completely thrashed..."

"Their leader... How is she able to control them?"

"I heard she probably has blackmail material on them."

"That’s what I heard too. She’s just carrying that rock around all the time. She’s not even strong."

"Guys... What if... She is able to command them because she’s stronger than all of them?"

"You’re crazy dude, there’s no way that could be true. I’ve seen what that Amrap over there can do and you’re suggesting she’s even stronger than her? No way."

"Yeah, she folded everyone in her Martial Class the other day, you know? Like literally picked up her opponents and folded them like they were nothing just to defeat them. All of her opponents couldn’t do anything to her!"

Heh... That’s my Odeta~

If it wasn’t because everyone was watching us right now, I would have went ahead to give you a pat on the head for doing such a good job~

We ignored all the stares and whispers and stepped up to the location where the portals led to the D ranked Dungeons were.

There were a few Guild staff there that were checking people heading there were at least D ranked Dungeoneers before we stepped up to one of the arrays and let ourselves get teleported away.

We didn’t really care about what Dungeon we were teleported to since we intend to just speedrun it like how we did with the E ranked Dungeon as well.

For this particular set of Dungeons, there were more people here than the E ranked Dungeons since this was the rank that most casual Dungeoneers would remain at.

The Dungeons at this rank would be challenging enough to the average Dungeoneer while also providing enough rewards for them that they can still comfortably challenge and make a living from while not risking their lives too much.

We were teleported to one of the islands floating around somewhere in the cluster and this particular island was located at a shorter elevation than the main island itself. Thus, we got to see the splendor of the cascading waterfalls coming down from the main island in the distance while we were illuminated by the glowing crystals embedded in the bottom part of the island.

Ignoring that, we had to join a small line of Dungeoneers that were all headed to the same place, the entrance to the Dungeon that was a set of ruins with a stairwell that led under the ground.

With so many people around us, it felt less like people preparing to head to a place that you could potentially lose your life in and more like we were lining up for some festival attraction or something.

The idea of getting some experienced Dungeoneer who had conquered this Dungeon before to teleport us to the last floor of the Dungeon came to mind before but... We decided that we might as well just try to get the best Dungeon Clear reward by going through the whole thing if we could.

Of course, if it turned out that the Dungeon was a pain to complete, we would go ahead with the idea of just getting someone to teleport us to the lowest floor to speedrun it.

Apparently doing such a thing is kind of a frowned upon thing within the Dungeoneer community since it’s like you’re a cheater who just latched themselves on an exploit but... It’s not exactly illegal either.

We moved down the stairs to descend into the Dungeon proper, appearing in the first floor of the Dungeon that seemed to have adopted the design of a ruined, underground city.

There were streets and avenues around us and we could go anywhere inside the city though our only purpose here was to look for the stairs that would lead us to the next floor.

This was one of the ’open area’ type Dungeons instead of the labyrinth type where you have to traverse narrow passageways to advance.

Instead, this Dungeon allowed us to move around freely and did not restrict where we wanted to go. The downside was that it was more difficult to find the stairs to the next floor since it could be located anywhere at all within the city.

It could even be just a hidden trapdoor within one of the ruined buildings that you would have to find if you wanted to advance.

But since this wasn’t a new Dungeon, others before us have already found where the stairs to the next floor was located at so all we had to do was search for the building and descend down below.

There were also other Dungeoneers that seemed to be heading to the same place as we were so I’m assuming these people were also newbie Dungeoneers here to work up a sweat during their first weekend at the Academy.

We followed the line of Dungeoneers that were entering a specific ruined building and I felt a little confused why there was even a queue to get to the next floor to begin with.

I mean... All you have to do is walk down the stairs, so why is it taking so long for the line to even move?

As we got into the ruined building, the reason why became clear when I found a couple of Dungeoneers who looked like veterans and dressed up in pretty impressive looking gear gathered in front of the stairs.

"Alright, like I said, if you want to head to the next floor, it’ll be one small bronze coin per party. Pay up or get lost!" One of those veteran looking Dungeoneers shouted out.

...

Are you serious? Am I seriously witnessing a goddamned shakedown right over here?!

Are you seriously telling me that I’m still not even that big of a villain in this Academy because there’s trash like this?!
