Chapter 1234: You Should Be The One Running From Us

Honestly… I think at this point, the normal flow of events would be that you have to sneak out of here and avoid the monster that was unleashed from starting up that machine… But…

“Heyyyy!!! Monster!!! Where are you?!! Come out here and fight meeeee!!!” Odeta yelled as we walked through the maze of corridors.

Yep… The right side led to an entire maze of corridors but… We basically made the creature that Minnera and Delmare had ’tamed’ lead the way so we didn’t need to be worried about getting lost.

And Odeta had been taunting the other creature that we have still yet to see but we knew it was around somewhere since it would periodically let out a roar to make its presence known.

I was confident that my girls could handle this monster so I didn’t stop her and just kept a lookout in case the monster showed up suddenly.

It might sound loud but who knows, it might be a sneaky type of monster for all we know.

“Hey, you sure we’re moving the correct way? If you’re trying to trick us…” Minnera growled, kicking at the creature’s ankles.

The monster let out a pathetic wail before it nodded its head quickly, affirming that we were headed in the correct direction.

Geez Minnera… Did I ever say that you being cruel is hot? Because I have to say it actually is a little hot.

Ahem… Anyway~ We’ve been walking for a while now and whoever made this maze really doesn’t want anyone to find the exit because it’s so goddamned long…

I was even starting to wonder if we would even get to see that other monster since it feels like it’s too big for it to even find us.

And as though fate wanted to prove me wrong… As soon as we turned the corner, we found ourselves looking at what I can only describe as an abomination.

It looked like it was a giant dude who had multiple different body parts sewn onto his body with his back engorged in a bulbous shape. Poking out at different parts of his body were extra limbs, heads and even a torso or two.

Chains were also wrapped around his body as though it was there to hold his body together lest he falls apart or something.

Both ends of the chain drooped over his hands and it seems like he was using those chains as weapons as well since he was dragging the length along the floor and making scraping sounds with it.

The moment it spotted us, the small, disproportionate head in the centre of its body open its mouth to let out a loud roar that shook the corridor.

I think if this was anyone else facing this guy… That would be the signal for you to get the hell out of there and hide before it catches you and most probably kill you.

But well…

All of my girls stepped forward, arranging themselves in a defensive line in front of me to face off against the creature that was big enough to block the entire corridor.

“Think we can beat this one into submission as well?” Minnera asked aloud, summoning her pistols.

Odeta laughed and punched her fists together, “Wahahaha! Why do we even need to make it submit? Let’s just kill it! At least it looks strong!”

With a roar, my Amrap was the first to charge towards the creature, her fist pulled back and already enhanced with [Strength] from me.

The monster also swung its enlarged fist at her, aiming to slam her into the wall and their fists collided in the centre.

There was an earth shattering boom as a shockwave blasted out from the impact, both of them being sent skidding back.

I almost thought that their strength was equal to each other’s until I noticed that the creature’s arm was completely broken and now hung limply at its side.

Odeta, on the other hand, looked completely unharmed and she was even smirking up at the creature.

The creature stared at its broken arm, as though having trouble comprehending that it actually lost in a contest of strength.

Several gunshots resounded through the corridor and the monster was riddled with a hail of bullets, courtesy of Minnera.

It turned in Minnera’s direction, looking more annoyed than hurt at the fact that it got shot at.

But just as it opened its mouth to roar again, the places where it had been hit by the bullets suddenly exploded, causing it to stagger back a few steps as pieces of its flesh splattered against the wall, floor and ceiling.

It would have also flown towards Odeta had I not conjured up a strong [Air Wall] in front of her that deflected the viscera back towards the creature.

Emilia and Delmare then leapt towards the creature, their blades lashing out as they sliced and diced the monster apart, cutting off its limbs and severing its legs from under it.

The monster fell onto the ground with a loud thump, its roar of pain muffled by its own body as it got crushed into the ground by its own bulbous body.

Odeta once again settled into her stance with her fist pulled back and I layered another [Strength] buff on her right as she punched her fist forward once more.

Her knuckle made contact with the monster and there was an especially loud boom as the creature’s upper body disappeared from sight, only to reappear at the other end of the corridor as it smashed into the wall with an earth shattering crash.

The creature’s back exploded from the impact and the entire wall was just coated with its blood and body parts, making it look like a popped pimple.

The monster let out a dying wail before it slumped forward and rolled onto the ground unmoving.

As though that wasn’t satisfactory enough, Lisa unleashed her [Laser] that she had been chanting since the start of the fight and a large beam of light was fired from her palm to engulf the creature, vaporising whatever it touched.

In the end… The creature was reduced to just a few lumps of flesh that remained on the ground in a pile of its own blood.

Damn girls… You really didn’t hold back huh…

I turned to look at the other creature that was with us and I guess I could understand why it was looking at the sight of its ’colleague’ and shivering in what I assume to be fear.

Like… It just watched my girls reduce that thing into lumps of flesh… So I wouldn’t be surprised if it was traumatised.

Wait… Can these things even get traumatised?

Hmm… Well whatever, these things can get traumatised for all I care anyway. Because if it’s other people here, this thing would be the one traumatising them instead.

The creature turned to look at me and I somehow could understand that it was wondering why I was with my girls.

I gave the monster a kick to make it stop looking at me, causing it to let out a pathetic groan before it shrunk away.

Alright, so with that other monster defeated, we should be able to continue forward, right?

Just as I was about to suggest that, I found Delmare approaching me while holding what appeared to be another paper bag in her hands.

Before I could even ask her what that was, a sweet smell wafted from the bag which pretty much told me that it was most likely sweets inside.

“Umm… Aster? I… I found this… Would you like to have it?”

She found sweets for me?! Of course I want them! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!

I took the bag from her and opened up to find even more cookies inside.

Waaahhh!! I love you Delmare!! Om nom nom nom~

“Now for you… You fucking bastard… Did you lead us here on purpose, huh? Are you sure? Because it looks like to me you were hoping that other bastard will save you… Was what I done to you not enough? Do you want another session of me showing you just how much pain I can give you with just my rapier? Do you want to hear me sing you into madness again? You fucking bastard… Answer me, are you actually leading us down the correct path or not? Are you sure? Really? If I poke you like this, does it hurt?
