Light covered the cell as my healing spell took effect, healing the men whom I had cut off the limbs of.
In case you were wondering, I wasn’t doing that out of the kindness of my heart. I just didn’t want them to use this to slap another claim that I committed another crime or something.
Also, I need them to clear our names since I’m sure they have some kind of system here that registers people as criminals. So if we want to return to being innocent tourists, we’re going to need them to clear us from that system.
Now that these guys have stopped bleeding out, I walked over to the captain guy and grabbed him by the neck to lift him up to my eye level.
“So… I will admit that you are right that I don’t actually want to kill you guys if I can help it. But what you don’t understand is that I am not against torturing you to get what I need. You already know that I have healing magic as well so I can just heal you from the brink of death if I have to. Should I check how far I need to go before you break? Or do you want to cooperate?”

I stabbed my Light Sword into his side, interrupting him before pulling back out and healing him.
“Do you want to try again?” I asked with a fake smile on my face.
“You… What do you want?”
“First, wipe all of our crimes away. That will be a good start.”
“I… Ughh… I don’t have the authority… To do that…”
“Then get the person with the authority to do that here and get them to wipe our crimes away.”
He hesitated so I raised my sword again in preparation to stab him again.
“Wait! Wait!! I can’t! That… That person is beyond my station!! I… I can’t!”
“Then figure something out to get them to wipe our crimes in the next few minutes or I’m going to get impatient and start cutting again.”
“That’s… It really is impossible for me to do anything about this!”
I narrowed my eyes at him, “Are you telling me that you and your men basically grabbed people off the streets, slapped them with false crimes with no way of reversing it?”
“That… I… We… Ummm…”
“You guys don’t even deserve to live,” I spat, feeling absolutely disgusted before pointing at the two girls who were still at the other end of the cell. “Free them right now. And if you try anything else, I will shove this sword up your ass and I’ll have the rest of this conversation with that inside you. Understand?”
He nodded quickly before turning his head to the girls, “De… Deactivate, silence! Deactivate, chain!”
The magic circle on the wall disappeared and the pink haired girl fell onto the ground, freed from the magic that bound her.
I would have told them to leave right now but since I couldn’t clear their names yet, they simply moved themselves to the corner of the cell and stayed there silently.
“Th… There! I did as you asked! Is that good enough?”
“Are we cleared of the crimes that your men falsely convicted us of yet?”
“That… Like I said! This is out of my hands! What do you want me to do?!”
“You and your men were the ones who dragged us into this mess to begin with, right? So you’re going to help dig us out of it and if you don’t, then I will just take out my frustrations on you.”
“If… If you do that… Then you’ll just be nothing more than a criminal as well!”
I smirked at him, “Wow, you finally realised? If I’m going to be unable to remove this label of being a criminal, then I have no need to stop myself from being a criminal anymore right? Just so you know, the idea that I can still clear my name is the only thing that’s stopping me from just killing you and your men right now.”
He grimaced, “I… I will need to write a letter! But… That would take at least a few days! And… Look! I can’t even write a letter if I want to anymore since you chopped off my arms!!”
“Hmm… If I were to restore your arms, you will be able to write the letter, right? And are you sure it’s going to take a few days? Because I have things to do and for every moment that I waste here, I’m going to use you as a punching bag, you know?”

I materialised a Grand Healing potion from my Bangle of Folding and showed it to him, something that Mother gave me in case I needed to use them.
Just saying, these are the highest grades of potions and can regenerate limbs and heal a person that is on the brink of death back to a completely healthy state… And they are incredibly expensive and rare.
The amount of money you need to even afford one of these could buy you an entire mansion and Mother literally just dumped a bag full of it on me before I set out on my own.
I think that bag of potions is worth more than everything I owned, not counting the businesses that Emilia had set up in my name of course.
That’s why… I wasn’t actually going to use this potion on him but I just brought it out to show him that I had the means to restore his limbs if I really wanted to and any excuse he can come up with because of that wasn’t going to work.
Also, the fact that he’s trying to stall and find excuses not to contact the guy pretty much told me that whoever that person was had no idea this was happening and would most likely side with me if they found out about this.
Which made me want to find the person even more.
He must have realised this and gulped audibly, “I… I can go and… Look for the person that can help you clear your name and speak to them directly… Just… Just let me arrange an audience…”
“How long is that going to take?”
“Just… Just one day! Just give me a day!”
I gestured at the jail cell, “You expect me to stay here for a day? Not a chance. Call whoever it is to come here instead.”
“Wait, wait… I can’t do that! That will be entirely disrespectful and I’ll be stepping out of line!!”
I raised my hand and slapped him across the face before pulling him back to me again, “You want to talk about disrespect? Why don’t you first worry about disrespecting me instead of someone who isn’t here? Are you seriously still thinking about trying to save your dignity or even your job right now? Because in case you forgot, I just said that I have no qualms about ending your worthless life right now if I figure out you’re useless to me.”
That seemed to finally wake him up to his current position as he actually started to plead with me, “Wait… Please! Please don’t do this! I can’t!! I have a family!! This will ruin me!”
I narrowed my eyes at him, “You have a family and you’re doing this? Are you serious?”
“Ye… Yes! Please! At least–”
I slapped him across the face again to shut him up, “I don’t give a crap. You only have yourself to blame for this. Tell me what you need to do to get the person that can clear our names here right now or else I’m ramming this sword up your ass.”
“I… I… Alright, alright! Just… Just let me go and get him here! I will call him to come here! So restore my limbs first!”
“Not happening. You’re not leaving this cell while my crime hasn’t been cleared. Get one of your men to go instead while you stay here with us.”
He paused then suddenly furrowed his brows, “Screw this! Just kill me! I’m as good as dead anyway so I’ll make sure you’re as inconvenienced as possible! Go on! Do it!”

One of the men that had been on the ground had lunged towards me, using his one good leg to propel himself towards me in an attempt to grab me.
Since I managed to dodge him, he sailed over to the door to roll back onto his foot, glaring at me while balancing on one leg.
I had been so occupied with the captain that I had stopped paying attention to those other men.
