Chapter 1170: Even More Of Them To Beat Up
“Lay on the ground right now or else we’ll kill the both of them!” The guy shouted.
I tilted my head at him and acted confused, “Why do you even assume I care about them? I literally only just met them not even an hour ago.”
That was a bluff of course. It’s not like I really do care about them but I would like to avoid getting them killed if I could help it.
But if they do end up dead anyway… Well… I wouldn’t really lose sleep over it either to be honest.
It’s not like I became friends with them over the course of the last few minutes so sorry in advance if I end up causing them to die.
The two men obviously didn’t expect such an answer from me since they looked like they hesitated and looked at each other.
I took advantage of that and kicked off the ground, dashing towards the guy that was holding the red haired woman first.
Along the way, I materialised a knife from my Bangle of Folding which they thankfully did not confiscate since they didn’t even know that it was a dimensional storage device.
His colleagues tried to shout out a warning to him but I smashed my knee into his face right as he turned around to look.
I then swung my arm outwards and the knife flew through the air to slice across the other guy’s cheek.
Damn… I was aiming to hit his shoulder… I should have trained my throwing proficiency…
But I guess the fact that I even nicked him and didn’t accidentally hit the pink haired woman was an achievement by itself so whatever.
Still, it had the effect of causing him to back away from the pink haired woman and there was no way I was letting that chance go.
I used the guy I just smashed my knee into as a springboard and kicked off his chest, launching myself towards the other guy.
He raised his hands in defence but he definitely underestimated my strength because I crashed straight into him and launched him flying to smash into the wall with a loud thud.
He ended up getting stuck into the wall and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, unconscious.
I turned back and did a quick head count again.
Some of the guys I hit earlier weren’t as hurt as I thought they were and managed to rejoin the fight. But I still managed to take four of them down though so there were eight of them still left standing.
Surprisingly, the first guy I attacked whom I assumed to be their leader was one of those who managed to recover. Guess he’s tougher than he looks.
“Can you fight?” I asked the red haired woman without taking my eyes off the nine guys.
She shook her head quickly, which I guess should have been obvious since she didn’t even try to fight back just now when she had been grabbed.
Guess I’ll really need to handle this alone… Unless I plan to kill these people so that my Shadow Guards remain a secret.
I settled into a combat stance again before nodding at them, “You sure you still want to continue? I can still let this go if you guys are willing to do what I told you to do earlier, you know?”
“Fuck you, bitch! We’re going to beat you and fuck you then keep you as our sex slave you fucking bitch!” The guy on the far left shouted.
Alright then…
I kicked off the ground again, using my full speed this time as I leapt in front of the guy who had shouted that at me.
To him, it must have looked like my figure blurred from where I had been to reappear in front of him.
He couldn’t even react before I punched my fist upwards in an uppercut, smashing my knuckle into his chin and shattering several of his teeth before launching him flying up to crash into the ceiling.
I then spun around and kicked my leg out in a roundhouse kick, smashing my foot against the back of the next guy’s head.
He flew forward and smashed into the ground, his body twitching once before he collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.
The guy I had uppercut then started falling back down again so I snatched him out of the air by his leg and spun around once before throwing him towards the other guys.
The leader managed to duck but the unfortunate guy behind him didn’t and ended up getting thrown to the ground with that guy on top of him.
The leader recovered and rushed towards me, his fist pulled back as he neared me before he threw a straight punch towards my head.
I ducked to my right to avoid it but he quickly followed up with an uppercut with his other fist, aiming for my chin.
I weaved back to my left again, only to backstep as he attempted a kick at my side, creating distance between us.
He immediately tried to chase after me while two of his men tried to flank from my sides and the last three tried to surround me from behind.
I watched as he hopped forward to attempt a snap kick towards my abdomen so I returned it with a kick of my own, our legs smacking against each other in the centre.
I expected him to lose that strength contest but unexpectedly, he managed to hold his ground which was already weird considering his strength stat should at least be a hundred points below mine.
Conversely, the leader himself also looked surprised, as though he was expecting himself to win that exchange as well.
I didn’t have time to think about it as the two that were trying to flank me lunged at me, forcing me to back away to avoid the punches they tried to throw at me.
One guy tried to rush at me from behind so I made use of my tail again to thrust out from underneath my skirt, smacking him in his chest and sending him skidding back.
The other two at my sides tried to swing at me so I jumped up and spun myself in the air before kicking out my legs at the same time.
Both of them got a kick to their faces each and stumbled back, which gave their leader space to rush towards me.
He must have thought that I couldn’t avoid his attack while in midair and attempted a punch aimed at where my face would be if I had continued falling.
Unfortunately for him, I let my wings explode out from my back and flapped them to propel myself up into the air again, completely avoiding his blow and also buffeting them with a gale of wind.
I landed back down on the ground again and that seemed to be the signal for them to rush towards me at the same time, aiming to overwhelm me with their numbers.
I was just about to leap towards them when the door suddenly flung open, prompting everyone to freeze up.
It was a rather comical sight with all of them freezing up mid punch while I was crouching and preparing to jump towards them.
A rather well dressed Nekomata stormed into the cell and started shouting, “What the hell is all that racket?! What is going on in here?!!”
He then turned to look in our direction with narrowed eyes, “What the hell is going on?!”
All of them quickly stood up straight and saluted.
“The prisoners were trying to break out, Captain!!” The leader of these guys lied.
So that’s the captain huh… Like the captain of the police force or something?
I immediately tried to shout out my side of the story as well, “That’s not true! They framed all of us with false accusations and were just about to rape us! I only fought back because of that!”
I was hoping the warden would at least question us on the validity of both stories but he ignored me and looked at the leader instead, “Are they all criminals?”
“They have already been sentenced, Captain! We were just carrying out their punishments!!”
“Then what the hell is all that noise? And the sha– Ah… I see these criminals managed to beat down some of you huh… Are they dangerous?”
“Yes sir! This one especially is really dangerous sir!!”
“I see… Then I’m glad I brought backup then…”
He stepped aside and as though on cue, even more men rushed into the cell, this time all armed with spears.
The men that had surrounded me immediately retreated from me and ran over to that side of the cell to draw their own swords too, joining the line to point their weapons at me.
Earlier, they were trying to rape us so they had to resort to non-lethal attacks but I guess now they are going the lethal route huh…
Great then… Should I just kill them now?
