Chapter 848: Chapter 847: Your Wife Should Be Pampered and Indulged (3)
Bella Acker’s cheeks flushed as she raised her hand to push Damian Sinclair away, whispering, "President Sinclair, you really do like to flatter yourself."
"Saying things that aren’t true, that’s what you call self-flattery. What I said just now was the truth," Damian Sinclair replied.
Bella Acker rolled her eyes at him and changed the topic, "Aren’t you going to work today?"
"No, I’m spending the day with you and Talia. After breakfast, shall we go fishing?" Damian Sinclair suggested, "There’s a small reservoir not far behind the villa. I used to love going there to fish with the old man. The scenery and air are great there, and we can have a campfire cooking session directly after catching the fish."
Bella Acker was quite keen to go, but she was worried that Talia might catch a cold.
"Wouldn’t it be too cold by the water when it’s snowing?" Bella Acker frowned.
"Dress warmly, bring a hand warmer, and take a windproof tent with us. It won’t be cold," Damian Sinclair assured her, "Talia rarely gets to go out like this with you. Staying at home is too boring."
Bella Acker thought about it for a moment before nodding, "Alright, but we can’t stay out too long. She has a music lesson around three in the afternoon, so we need to head back."
"Alright, I’ll drive you back in the afternoon," Damian Sinclair signaled to a maid and instructed, "Prepare the fishing gear, tent, and hand warmer. After breakfast, we’re going fishing, and we’ll have a campfire cookout by the reservoir for lunch."
"That’s great! I’ll go get everything ready now," the maid responded with a high level of enthusiasm.
Bella Acker said, "Since there’s nothing much going on, those who are free can join us. The more the merrier."
"Yes, everyone who’s free can come along."
Knowing they were going fishing later, some of the more playful servants quickly finished their tasks ahead of time during breakfast, and after they all had breakfast, everyone headed to the small reservoir behind the villa to fish.
They spent the morning there and returned to the villa after their campfire cookout at the reservoir.
Talia had a piano lesson in the afternoon, and they had to head back now.
Bella Acker helped the little girl put on her small backpack and said, "Say goodbye to Great-grandpa."
"Bye-bye, Great-grandpa." The little girl walked over, kissed the old man’s cheek, and lifted her rosy face to earnestly declare, "Great-grandpa, I’m leaving now. I’ll come see you next time, okay?"
"Okay, okay." The old man nodded repeatedly, "Great-grandpa will be waiting for you."
"And, Great-grandpa, you have to behave yourself, no more getting hurt, or Talia will be worried," the little girl said. She even bent down to gently blow on the old man’s bandaged leg, whispering, "Blow-blow, the pain flies away."
The old man listened, his heart melting, feeling a sense of guilt for pretending to be sick to deceive the child.
"Don’t worry, Talia. Great-grandpa will be more careful in the future, and won’t let Talia worry anymore," the old man promised, stroking the girl’s hair, a loving and kind smile spread over his face.
"Alright, then, goodbye Great-grandpa, goodbye Mr. Butler." The little girl waved to the nearby servants, "Goodbye, uncles, aunts, brothers, and sisters," addressing everyone without missing anyone.
"Goodbye, Talia, we’ll be waiting for you to come back," everyone said reluctantly, wishing she could stay longer at the villa.
"Old man, we’ll be heading off now." Bella Acker nodded to everyone before leading the little girl out.
She had driven here, and as soon as she settled the little girl in the car, she noticed that Damian Sinclair was already seated in the driver’s seat.
