Chapter 822: Chapter 821: Standing Up for the Granddaughter-in-law (7)
Bella Acker turned her head to look outside the living room; it was already dark, and the streetlight’s brightness couldn’t illuminate very far in the night.
However, in the beam of light, one could clearly see the dense drizzle falling.
Is Damian Sinclair still standing outside the villa’s gate in the rain, or has he already left?
At least he should know to hide in the car, right?
The butler led them upstairs to see the room.
Opening the door, the butler said, "Ms. Acker, this is the room the master set up for you and the little miss. If there is anything you’re not satisfied with, I’ll have it changed immediately."
"Wow, it’s so beautiful, like a princess room." The little girl widened her eyes in admiration at the sight of the pink decor.
Bella Acker smiled, "It’s very beautiful, thank you."
"Ms. Acker, you’re too kind," the old butler hesitated for a moment, then said, "Ms. Acker, the master found it more difficult than anyone else to drive Young Master Sterling out. Lately, he often can’t sleep and stays up looking through photos of Young Master Sterling as a child, sometimes all night. Yet the master knows Young Master Sterling has wronged Ms. Acker, and to seek justice for Ms. Acker, he can only endure his feelings. Ms. Acker, can you really not forgive Young Master Sterling?"
"Mommy, can’t you forgive Daddy?" Though the little girl didn’t understand what the old butler was saying, she still seriously asked, looking up.
Bella Acker sighed, rubbing the little girl’s head, and said to the old butler, "Between President Sinclair and me, there’s no such thing as forgiving or not. Relationships are mutual; there’s no real right or wrong. If there is truly a mistake, it might be that he and I shouldn’t have met at all."
If they hadn’t met, without each other’s company, they wouldn’t have liked each other and wouldn’t have uncovered past grievances; they could have lived more easily.
"I haven’t heard much about past events either," the old butler paused for a moment before continuing, "Ms. Acker, I just want to ask you one thing, do you no longer love Young Master Sterling now?"
Bella Acker was taken aback; her heart quivered at this question, and after a while, she lowered her eyes and softly said, "...I don’t love him anymore."
"Alright, I understand." The old butler bowed, "Ms. Acker, I’m sorry, I overstepped."
"It’s fine." Bella Acker smiled, "The room’s arrangement is very thoughtful, thank you."
"The master is still waiting for Ms. Acker downstairs, please." The butler stepped aside and made a welcoming gesture.
Bella Acker nodded, took the little girl’s hand, and went back downstairs.
The little girl shook her hand and asked in a tender voice, "Mommy, do you really not like Daddy?"
"Children shouldn’t worry about such things," Bella Acker pinched her hand.
Seeing the two come down, the old man immediately waved and said, "Talia, come quickly, see what grandpa has prepared for you."
The little girl immediately ran over, seeing the toys spread all over the floor, she widened her eyes in surprise, "Wow, grandpa, do you know magic? How did you make so many toys appear all of a sudden?"
"Yes, grandpa can make even more toys appear, do you want to see?" The old man imitated the little girl’s tone as he spoke.
"Yes, yes, grandpa, hurry and show more!" The little girl clapped her hands happily.
Watching the elder and the child play, Bella Acker said, "Old man, I’m going to call godmother."
"Young Acker, go ahead."
Holding the phone, Bella Acker walked to the side and looked out at the increasingly heavy rain through the glass window.
