Chapter 788: Chapter 787: He Was Kicked Out of His Home? (11)
After hanging up the phone, Damian Sinclair put away his mobile and returned to the meeting room.
The executives inside, who were discussing amongst themselves, all turned to look at him.
Damian Sinclair glanced around at everyone and asked, "Does anyone else have anything to say?"
"President Sinclair, I wanted to say..." The director of the marketing department stood up, ready to speak, when he suddenly felt someone tugging at his suit trousers under the table.
What an idiot, the Boss asked this after taking a call, obviously hoping to leave work early.
At a moment like this, not knowing to go along with the Boss’s intentions and actually standing up to express his thoughts, isn’t this just making trouble for the Boss!
No wonder he failed to get promoted to vice president last time, he really doesn’t know how to align with his superior’s mind.
Damian Sinclair cast a nonchalant glance at the standing marketing director and said, "Whatever you want to say, hold it in for now, and tell me tomorrow, meeting adjourned."
Everyone’s expressions relaxed upon hearing "meeting adjourned."
A vice president who was quite familiar with Damian chuckled and said, "President Sinclair, is a lady waiting for you?"
"My daughter’s hungry after school and needs to eat," Damian replied directly.
The people in the meeting room were all taken aback by his response. When did President Sinclair get married? His daughter is already in school?
Everyone was very shocked, but the vice president who first asked the question recovered and chuckled, "President Sinclair, that’s not right. Such a big thing as getting married and having a kid, you didn’t even inform us. That’s not very considerate."
Damian Sinclair lightly curled his lips and said, "My wife and I haven’t held the wedding yet, but when we do, you’ll all be invited. Don’t worry."
"Hahaha, we’ll be looking forward to it then."
"Exactly! Congratulations, President Sinclair!"
Even though the wedding hadn’t yet taken place, everyone began to offer their congratulations.
Damian felt quite comfortable hearing this, and after saying a couple more things to everyone, he left the office.
Special Assistant Lawson followed closely behind, asking, "Boss, by publicly saying Ms. Acker is your wife, aren’t you worried Ms. Acker will get angry when she finds out?"
"She’ll be that sooner or later, so why get angry," Damian replied. "I’m going to pick them up now. Book a Thai restaurant, and we’ll head there shortly."
"Okay," Special Assistant Lawson nodded. "I’ll book it and send the address and room number to your phone." With that, he went ahead to open the door to the president’s office.
Damian walked in first, with Special Assistant Lawson following. "Boss, there’s one question I’m not sure if I should ask, but I’ve been really curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat, need I teach you this saying?" Damian took off his suit jacket, put on a V-neck sweater over his shirt, and then dressed in a black coat.
"Boss, were you really kicked out of the house by the old man?" Special Assistant Lawson couldn’t suppress his curiosity anymore and asked, "Recently, I’ve received a lot of calls from company executives inquiring about this. I told them it was just a rumor, but with so many inquiries, I got curious myself."
"Yes," Damian replied flatly, picking up the phone and car keys from the table, heading out of the office.
Special Assistant Lawson froze in place, "Boss, this could lead to a drop in Kingston Group’s stock market. Why not give us a heads-up early?"
"Kingston Group doesn’t need to rely on the Sinclair Group, and those hoping to see Kingston’s stock price drop are destined for disappointment," Damian casually replied, walking out of the president’s office.
