Chapter 133- Another Level

The first reaction that the candidates had was... How are we supposed to start tackling this? There were simply too many stacks of papers, and it made choosing where to start so hard. The entire task itself was so daunting and intimidating that nobody really felt like they wanted to even touch it, let alone start solving the problems.

Everyone except for two. Rize and Rose didn’t really waste much time as they pushed the stack to the side and grabbed the first subject at the very top. They didn’t really care about the work they had to do; they simply needed to start, and things would slowly get better.

’I was planning to tackle some subjects I’m more comfortable with, but it doesn’t really make a difference.’ Rize thought to himself. ’I think I’m pretty good in every subject.’

If it were Rize in his past life, then yeah, he was certain that he would be very screwed at that point. But after years of studying in this world, he was a very smart individual on every front, especially when it came to academics.

In the world of Magus of The Reverse World, there were normal subjects and Awakened subjects. The normal ones include subjects Rize was already familiar with from his previous life, like Math, Physics, Literature, History, etc. Since this world was somewhat more advanced than Earth, Rize had to put more effort into understanding certain concepts.

However, it didn’t differ much from Earth in many cases, which made the process much simpler in that regard. As for the Awakened subjects, that was what took Rize a lot of time to understand.

These subjects include Essence Physics, Monsterology, Essence Engineering, Awakened Body Anatomy, and several other subjects. Each one was basically an entire realm of its own with its own rules and discoveries.

Memorizing and learning all of that took Rize quite a lot of time. But in the end, with Geralt’s guidance, he was able to learn up to a very advanced level, so he felt confident in those subjects too.

The first subject he had to pass was Math, which Rize used to hate. But now, his fingers instantly started moving as he started reading and writing down the answers with clear precision. He didn’t even need a second to think, as he already solved the problem while reading it.

With his enhanced body, even his writing speed increased quite a bit, and his handwriting became far more elegant and clear to read. In a matter of two minutes, he was already done with the first question as he moved to the next one, then the one after.

Rize didn’t stop for a second as he felt like the answers came into his brain like a flood.

One of the candidates who was still trying to read the questions looked to the side and saw Rize writing down on the paper at the speed of light.

’What the hell... How did he already read all of this? Is he just writing whatever?’ He thought to himself. ’Pfft, what a fool. He thinks he will impress someone if he does that. Get wrecked, dumbass!’

With that, as the minutes passed, the candidates started trying to solve the problems. Since everyone there was the top of the top, they didn’t struggle to solve the first few problems. They were all very smart and academically successful before coming here.

However, as Rize continued solving, he noticed that the problems grew harder and harder. He didn’t really struggle with any of them, but the concepts got more complex and advanced quite quickly.

’This is interesting... They expect us to remember all these rules?’ He smiled to himself as he continued writing. Then, almost an hour into the test, Rize was done with the first subject. He didn’t even need to check his answers again because he was certain he didn’t make a single mistake.

Then, Rize continued into the second subject, which seemed to be history. The history of that world was naturally very rich and far deeper than even the one on Earth.

’I remember having to memorize so many books just to understand what the hell was happening. Good old days.’ He smiled to himself as he easily recalled everything as if he had memorized it yesterday.

Another hour passed swiftly, and Rize was done with the second subject as he put it away. People would glance at him occasionally and see him sliding the subject away as if he was done. However, naturally, nobody believed that he would be done with subjects that fast.

Each one is 50 pages long. Even they need at least two hours to finish the first one. At the same time, Rose herself watched Rize’s work with an impressed look on her face. She wasn’t that far behind him, but she knew how impressive what he was doing was because she herself was considered a genius academically, as her parents put her through a very strict course throughout her life in preparation for joining the academy.

Even though she came from a lineage of warriors, her father always told her that knowledge was power and that she must acquire knowledge to become invincible.

"2 hours have passed," Melissa said as she checked the time while watching everyone there with eyes like those of hawks. That entire time, she didn’t look away or busy herself with anything else, as if she didn’t feel any boredom just watching a quiet class for hours on end.

Each time an hour passed, she would announce it to the group, putting them under invisible pressure. They knew they had three days to tackle all these subjects. However, the difficulty that kept spiking with each subject made them realize that this wasn’t going to be easy.

"Damn it... Why is this problem so hard?"

"I’ve been stuck for 20 minutes now... Ugh, I need to go to another problem."

The reactions started becoming more tense and worried. If these problems were taking so much time, how were they supposed to finish these subjects in time?

Their eyes slowly started moving to the time every now and then, and their expressions darkened slowly. If earlier, they felt that three days was an absurd amount of time... Now they weren’t even certain if it was enough time to take down all of this.

Then, suddenly, when the third hour passed, one of the candidates stood up, alerting everyone there. Rize pushed the subjects aside and looked at Melissa.

"Miss, I would like to leave."

The supervisor gave him a cold glance before she nodded her head and snapped her fingers. His tests disappeared from his table.

"When you return, request to receive your subjects back, and I will hand them back." She said. "You are not allowed to bring them out with you."

"Understood."

"What?"

"He’s leaving already?"

"Does he think he has enough time? The test is huge..."

"He’s insane..."

The reactions to Rize leaving were shock. How could someone see a test like this and not try to solve as much as possible before they’re completely exhausted and need immediate rest. He didn’t even seem that nervous or worried as he walked out.

Many were a complete mess, and there was Rize, who seemed like he was having the time of his life.
