Villainess is being pampered by her beast husbands
Chapter 548 --548
"I want a shell company registered by tomorrow morning," Kaya ordered, rapidly tapping coordinates and directives into the tablet. "I want a corporate headquarters secured in the financial district by the end of the month. We will start by buying out failing, localized shipping lines. We’ll absorb their fleets, optimize their routes, and absolutely gut their overhead costs. Within a year, I want a monopoly on the regional ports.’’
The Deputy Commander looked at the digital roadmap she had just drawn up in under sixty seconds. It was ruthless, brilliantly structured, and entirely legal.
He couldn’t help it; he started laughing. It was a low, rough chuckle of pure admiration. "You really haven’t lost your touch, Captain. If anything, you’ve gotten meaner."
’’You have no idea,’’ Kaya muttered, thinking of the Lion King’s envoy and the Rot-weavers. ’’Dismissed. Get to work on the IDs. I want everything finalized before my ’specialists’ wake up and accidentally destroy the kitchen.’’

The Next Morning
Veer did not wake up gracefully.
He woke up with a sharp gasp, his predatory instincts violently booting up as he thrashed against the heavy, soft material trapping him. The memory foam mattress had contoured so perfectly to his body that for a split second, his half-asleep brain thought he had been captured in another massive, suffocating spider web.
He threw the Egyptian cotton duvet across the room, landing in a defensive crouch on the plush bedroom carpet.
He was breathing heavily, his golden eyes darting around the room. There were no stone walls. No drafty windows. No smell of sulfur or smoke. There was only clean, white drywall, a massive flat-screen television, and the hum of central air conditioning.
The memories of the fall, the blinding light, and the towering glass city came rushing back.
Veer slowly stood up, running a hand over his face. He walked to the massive floor-to-ceiling window and pulled back the blackout curtains. The morning sun bathed the luxurious modern villa in a warm glow. Below, in the manicured garden, he saw Cutie.
The giant bear-rabbit beastman (currently in his towering, heavily scarred human form) was standing absolutely still on the grass, staring in profound, unblinking fascination at a robotic lawnmower that was slowly tracing a path across the yard.
Veer let out a low chuckle, his tense shoulders finally dropping. They were really here.
He turned and walked out of his suite, following the rich, intoxicating scent of roasting coffee beans down the hallway.
He found Kaya in the massive, stainless-steel kitchen. She was dressed in sleek, dark slacks and a fitted black turtleneck, looking every bit the modern, untouchable executive. She was typing furiously on a sleek silver laptop with one hand while holding a steaming mug of black coffee in the other.
Veer leaned against the kitchen island, crossing his arms. He watched her for a long moment, admiring the sharp, commanding lines of her posture. In the beast world, she had been a survivor, a brilliant tactician playing a deadly game of survival. But here? Here, she looked like an absolute queen sitting on her rightful throne.
"You look different, wife," Veer murmured, his deep voice breaking the quiet of the kitchen.
Kaya didn’t look up from her screen, though a faint smirk touched her lips. ’’"Different good, or different bad?"’’
"Dangerous," Veer clarified, a wicked smile spreading across his face. "Like you no longer have to worry about the cold. You look like you own this fortress."
Kaya finally closed the laptop with a satisfying ’snap’. She turned to face him, leaning her hip against the marble counter.
’’That’s because I’m about to,’’ Kaya said smoothly. She reached onto the counter and slid two small, rectangular pieces of plastic toward him.
Veer picked them up, inspecting them closely. They featured small, incredibly realistic portraits of his and Cutie’s human faces, alongside a bunch of strange, uniform text.
"What are these?" Veer asked, tilting his head.
’’Your new lives,’’ Kaya said. ’’Those are called identification cards. Passports. From this moment on, you are no longer Veer, the Vulture Chief of the Beast Continent. You are Veer Vance, a highly specialized, off-the-grid private security contractor from an undisclosed overseas territory."
Veer raised an eyebrow, highly amused by the fabricated lore. "A private security contractor? What does that mean?"
’’"It means,"’’ Kaya smiled, walking around the island and stopping just inches from him, ’’"that when we step out of this house, you work for me. We are starting a business. We are going to build an empire of steel and trade that makes the Free Clan look like a lemonade stand."’’
Veer looked down into her eyes, feeling that familiar, thrilling spark of absolute chaos that had drawn him to her in the first place. He didn’t care about the strange clothing, the robotic lawnmowers, or the glass towers. As long as she was the one giving the orders, he would conquer whatever world she pointed him at.
Veer reached out, gently tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
"Lead the way, Commander," Veer whispered, his golden eyes flashing with a predatory promise. "Who are we hunting first?"
The transition from a primitive wasteland warlord to a modern corporate titan did not take Kaya years. It took exactly three months.
With the unlimited, untraceable capital provided by her former mercenary squad and the strategic genius that had conquered the Venom-tooth Canyons, Kaya rapidly laid the foundations of her new empire. *Vanguard Global Supply*, the shell company registered on her first day back, was no longer a shell. It was a rapidly expanding juggernaut in the maritime shipping and high-risk transport sector.
And right now, Kaya was demonstrating exactly how she did business.

The Boardroom
High above the financial district, in a sleek, glass-walled conference room overlooking the sprawling metropolis, the atmosphere was suffocatingly tense.
Sitting at the head of the polished obsidian-glass table was Kaya. She wore a razor-sharp, tailored slate-grey pantsuit, her hair pulled back into a severe, flawless twist. She looked completely at home in the ruthless corporate environment, her eyes fixed on the man sweating profusely across the table from her.
Standing perfectly still behind her right shoulder was Veer.
The Vulture chief had adapted to modern clothing with a terrifying, devastating grace. He was wearing a custom-fitted, midnight-blue Italian suit that clung to the massive, predatory lines of his physique. His dark hair was styled effortlessly, and a pair of dark, designer sunglasses hung from his breast pocket. He looked like a billionaire’s deadliest, most expensive asset. To the corporate executives in the room, he was simply "Mr. Vance," the CEO’s personal head of security. To Kaya, he was the same lethal predator who had slaughtered his way through a canyon of monsters.
By the heavy double doors stood Cutie. Finding a suit that fit a man who stood nearly seven feet tall with the shoulder span of a grizzly bear had been a logistical nightmare, but Hiro’s tailors had managed it. Cutie wore a massive charcoal suit, his arms crossed over his chest. He looked like an impenetrable, living brick wall.
"The offer is on the table, Mr. Sterling,"
Kaya said, her voice dropping into the freezing, absolute tone that used to make the Snake guards tremble. She tapped a single, manicured finger against the thick stack of legal documents resting on the glass.
