Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny

Chapter 364: A Harem Faction Isn’t Simple

  • Next Chapter

Inside the deepest chamber of the Hidden Abyss Hall, Lenox sat quietly behind a massive stone desk, several intelligence reports spread out before him.

His expression grew darker with every page he read. He had never expected news about the Twin Keys to spread like this.

For years, he had planned to use the sisters for his own purposes, and now a large portion of that careful preparation risked going to waste simply because someone had leaked their whereabouts.

Fortunately, only the news that the Twin Keys were staying with the Forbidden Immortal Harem had spread. Information about what the Twin Keys actually were had not.

In fact, it probably couldn’t spread even if someone wanted it to. The sisters themselves didn’t even know the truth behind their identities.

Realizing that, Lenox finally relaxed slightly, though only slightly. The fact remained that their location had somehow been leaked.

His gaze shifted toward the man standing beside him. Dressed entirely in dark robes, the tall figure was Jelra, one of Lenox’s most trusted assassins and a Peak Golden Core cultivator.

He was also the same assassin who had previously tried to capture both sisters, only to be forced back by Helena.

Lenox rubbed his forehead and asked coldly, "Jelra, how the hell did this happen? How did the Twin Keys end up with that harem faction? Didn’t I order you to bring them back the moment you found them?"

Jelra lowered his head. "I apologize, Master, but that faction is not simple at all."

Lenox frowned. "Not simple? A faction that literally uses the word ’harem’ in its name isn’t simple? Explain."

Jelra immediately continued, "I had already found the sisters and was about to take them back when a woman suddenly appeared and protected them. Judging from the current reports, she must be a member of the Forbidden Immortal Harem."

His expression grew more serious. "The problem is that even though she was only a High Golden Core cultivator, she pushed me back with ease."

Lenox was genuinely surprised. Jelra was one of the strongest Peak Golden Core cultivators under him.

Now that Lenox knew a mere High Golden Core cultivator had pushed Jelra back so easily, his expression became serious.

Lenox rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "It seems this whole matter is getting more troublesome by the second now that this harem faction has gotten involved."

Before he could continue, the communication jade beside him suddenly vibrated.

Lenox glanced down, and the moment he recognized the spiritual signature, surprise flashed across his face.

He picked up the jade and frowned slightly. "Corlan? How many damn years has it been since that bastard contacted me?"

A second later, realization dawned on him. Corlan was one of the few people who knew the truth about the Twin Keys.

Lenox sighed and prepared to answer the call. "It seems that rumor reminded him about them too..."

He injected his Qi into the communication jade and answered, "Hey, bastard. How many years has it been since you last called me? Let me guess, this is because of the recent news."

Corlan chuckled on the other side. "As expected of you, Lenox. You already figured out why I called."

Lenox gave a faint laugh. "Obviously. The entire fucking region is talking about something that was supposed to remain our secret."

Corlan sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Yeah. It seems we have quite a lot to discuss."

Lenox slowly stood from his chair. "Of course, but let’s not talk through a jade. Come to my Hidden Abyss Hall. We’ll discuss everything face-to-face."

Corlan quickly replied with a chuckle, "Good. I was thinking the same thing. I’ll be there in a week, so wait for me and prepare some decent food while you’re at it."

Lenox nodded, exchanged a few final words, and ended the communication before lowering the jade.

After all these years, the unfinished plan surrounding the Twin Keys had finally returned to the center of his attention.

Back at the temporary base, Damian sat alone for a while, staring at his system interface with a troubled expression.

He had reached a somewhat awkward point with the system’s gift returns.

Even when a critical reward triggered, it rarely gave him anything truly game-changing anymore.

Sure, he still received King Grade rewards, but most of them were King Grade martial arts rather than cultivation methods.

He could also obtain King Grade weapons, yet for some reason, the weapons rewarded by the system now didn’t possess weapon spirits like the ones used by Cassandra and the others.

The difference was actually enormous, as a weapon spirit wasn’t just useful in battle.

It could also provide guidance or even cultivation and martial arts specifically suited to that weapon.

As for pills and talismans, the System usually just gave him different varieties at roughly the same grade instead of something clearly superior.

Damian rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Are King Grade pills and talismans already so ridiculously powerful that the system doesn’t have much room to upgrade them?"

With no clear idea what to do next, Damian’s attention shifted toward the five servants, and he suddenly remembered something.

He had never actually checked their destiny stories properly, so the first thing Damian did was look at their favorability.

Opening their profiles, he quickly saw that all five servants had favorability somewhere between fifty and sixty toward him.

Damian blinked and rubbed his chin. "Hm... that’s actually pretty good, considering they have to deal with their crazy mistress every day."

Since their favorability had already passed fifty, Damian could now see at least half of each servant’s fate story.

Yet when he started reading through them, he went strangely silent. Their destinies were actually... surprisingly simple.

At least from the portions he could currently see, none of them faced anything too ridiculous.

In fact, most of their problems were things Linsey and the other girls could probably help them solve without much difficulty.

The moment he thought about Linsey and the others, Damian quickly came up with a good idea. A grin spread across his face. "Alright... let’s finish this once and for all."
